"Mr. Colbath, the GM, is very hospitable and genuine. As a female hosting business meals, he makes the servers understand that I am the host and not my male counterpart. Special requests are no problem to any one at The Palm Tampa. The menu appears limited but on a closer look covers any dining request. The three course business lunch is exceptional and the lunch combinations are very welcome."

"Took my mother to The Palm on Mother's Day. It was simply put PERFECT!! Food, Service, Staff, Ambiance was all 5 Stars!!!! Our waiter was Hugo and he went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of! The manager Mark and Paulo also stopped by to check on us. The Palm still believes in Exceptional Customer Service and Food and it showed during our dinning experience. It was the best Mother's Day meal my family has had! Looking forward to a return visit in the near future!!"

"Had a nice mom's day afternoon. Food was good, service was very nice, atmosphere was very pleasant. The only area of improvement I can think of is food quality for price. Other restaurants comparable in price have a better food quality. If I were to do over, I may select a different restaurant. Other places just do food better. Service was very goo though, which made the food a little better."

"As our first visit to the Palm, we chose them upon recommendation from a friend, and I was pretty impressed. It was probably about 1 full star higher than my normal restaurant visits, and that may make me somewhat easily impressed, but still, I had a great steak, and I thought our server was exceptional as was the rest of the serving staff. We were there earlier in the evening, as we had plans for later, so it wasn't in the middle of the dining evening, but I was still thoroughly satisfied. I don't think that I could afford to eat there all the time, but I think I will have to work it into the rotation of special event visits. I will be visiting there again when I can."

"We went to the Palms for the first time to celebrate Valentine's Day. The food was outstanding. It's more of an open room atmosphere which I felt didn't fit the pricing. The service I understand is typically excellent and they have your name in the system so when you are approached by your waitor, they already know your names, however the waitor we happened to have was just O.k. I would definitely go back again as the food was delish."

"We always enjoy going to The Palm and usually visit going to or coming from the airport. I used to live in NYC and have fond memories of the original...BUT, this is the first time I have ordered a lobster at the Tampa location. The menu described it as a 3 lb lobster, the waiter described it as a 3 lb lobster, IT WASN'T! ...We are from Maine and still summer there. We know lobsters!...The lobster I was served, nicely prepared and served, may have been 2 lbs but not one ounce more. For $78 it was a ripoff!"

"Food was prepared very well and all the sides the group order were outstanding. Steak selection is a little limited for a place promoting itself as a steakhouse and the cuts were huge. Smallest cut of meat was a 9 oz filet. This is fine, but most other steakhouses in the area (e.g. Bern's or Shula's) over a wide selection of cuts and sizes. If you want a ribeye only selection is 24 oz, etc. so that was a little disappointing. That said, preparation of the steaks the group order was excellent. Fish is really good as well (at least the swordfish). Lacking a notable draft beer selection (only 2), but wine list was descent. Slow night so it was very quiet, but it was surprisingly slow for being St. Patty's day"

"It was our first time there, we had a gift card for $200, we were not impressed with the food or the service. We are happy we had a gift card because we would had been highly dissapointed if we had to spend our own hard earned cash on the dinner. "Restaurant was very loud this evening, and evidently busy. Service was somewhat slow as a result, for example my drink was slow in arriving.
Salad was not as good as it use to be. Steaks we're good, though one came back rather overdone, but not worth sending back. Overall good, but we're not exceptional as been our experience in the past.
Likely will not go back for a long time."

"You can always count on The Palm for good food and great service, no matter what you're in the mood for. Our meals were both prepared to perfection and the green beans were delicious as well. Desserts, while not diet friendly, are worth it--go just for the carrot cake!"

"I've been to a number of Palm restaurants in the past with better experiences. At this location, our server seemed less than enthused to be serving us, both of our steaks were undercooked, and the crowd appeared quite older than I had expected (both my husband and I are in our mid-30's). Considering all of these factors, I don't think we'll be dining there again with all there is to offer in this town."

"We were given a gift card for this restaurant, and we experienced one of the best meals we have had in Tampa during the nine years we have lived here. Our steaks were excellent and cooked to perfection. My Ceasar salad was so fresh and light with fresh made croutons. The three cheese potatoes were awesome. To complete the meal, to our surprise, was our favorite wine. This is the first time we have seen this wine on a menu in Florida, as we have been ordering it from Washington state. The service could not have been better. The prices were surprisingly reasonable. Now that we have discovered this restaurant, we will definitely put it on our list of favorites."

The rubbed new york strip was amazing and the Monday salad was refreshing. The table was spot on with the clam casino with bacon – everyone thought was great. Everyone loved the tenderloin chop. "A lovely meal..food was terrific. Had the 49 dollar fixed price menu. Great salad... had the veal chop and dessert. Veal was fabulous and huge. Have to say the dessert was a soggy bread pudding and was weak but at that point a bite or two was sufficient. The server was very good and appropriately friendly.
But overall this place is just very, very expensive with the majority of entrees over 30 dollars ala carte. I will reserve it for expense account meals which was the apparent profile of most of the diners...those just dont happen much, for me at least anymore. But with that being said the place was full on a Friday night and the vibe was very upbeat and upscale. Nice for Tampa."

"Our food was good, but not as great as usual. Example: My 3-pound lobster looked like a 2 pound (or at best 2 and a half pound) lobster. When I made my reservation one week in advance I requested a specific server who always makes our dining experience more enjoyable. I subsequently found out when I arrived that the server I requested had surgery 2 weeks prior and would be absent from work for another two weeks. Since I made this specific request I felt they could have called me when they read the request and I would have requested my second or third favorite server. They failed to do so and either never looked at my request or chose to ignor my request. Mediocre dining experience."
