"We were celebrating our birthdays and it took awhile to find a good night, but when we did, we booked early and were looking forward to it, when the weather forcast was for rain, hail wind and possible tornados. We thought of rescheduling, but went ahead anyway and had a great time and the weather turned out to be fine. The drinks were great, I had a champagne cocktail that I loved and then we shared a special summer lobster dinner for 2 at a special price. The lobster was delicious and we had fresh berries for desert which were really fresh. The only thing we didn't like were the brussel sprouts, probably because they weren't the way mother makes them, but that's just a matter of taste. All in all it was great. Superb and friendly service,"

Ever had a meal where everything you taste is just WONDERFUL?
That is the Palm.
The food was EXCELLENT, the service was AWESOME and the atmostphere was relaxing.
...not keen on all the cartoon faces on the wall...but it didn't keep me from totally enjoying my meal!
Pricing was a bit high - but for a special night or business dinner - it is worth it!"

"I have been to the Palm in DC, Fairfax, VA, Boston and Cicago. All are nice the food is good, the steaks are great and the place is comfortable and moderately casual. Yet, in Chicago the staff are remarkably friendly, engaging and attentive. They really make the experience. We went on Mother's Day with our adult children and had a wonderful time. We will be back."

"I was in town for the Bio International convention. I held all of our most important lunch and dinner business meetings at this Palm. The service that we recieved and the way we all were treated was nothing less than OUTSTANDING. There is an old saying that goes "attitude reflects leadership". All of this restaurant's management should be commended on the exceptional service and wonderful attitudes their staff exhibited. This Palm is truly a shining beacon for other restaurants to emulate. Whether or not we won any of our business meetings is yet to be determined. What I am sure of is that whenever my travels or conferences bring me through Chicago again, ALL my meetings will be held at this Palm restaurant."

"Years ago, under the leadership of Jeffrey Pagnotta and then his successor managers, I thought this place was criminally underrated, esecially for a "businessman's lunch," with excellent pricing on very tasty food and top-notch waitstaff. Now the food's generic, and just so-so, and everything about the place feels sort of dumbed down and lackluster. Bottom-line: It's not as good, and there are increasing numbers of similar (and dissimilar) venues in the loop that are considerably better options, and you should eat there, not here."

"Sal are server was great. The sear tuna was great, very fresh. We asked and they had Prime Rib,yum!! No whole lobster at all. So we had a lobster tail, New York strip and crab cake. The crab cake was a free special. Everything was great. Hope they have some live lobsters next time. We like sharing a large one. The tail was good but to small for the three of us. Chicago Palm still has the best service."

"We were celebrating my nephews first visit to Chicago....he doesn't usually eat at seafood and steak restaurants. This was a very special evening for us. And it did not disappoint. Lana was our server and she was AMAZING!! She made the night perfect!! She took care of an under cooked steak in no time flat. She was gracious, engaging and professional! She let us know when they were running out of Whole Lobster which was WONDERFUL since that was our reason for dining at the Palm that evening. The last time we took my nephew out for Lobster was the day of my father's funeral...so we wanted to do it on a more uplifting occasion. Thanks so much for the attention and conversation."

"Great service and has been around forever. The food was great and comparable to many other steak places of its caliper. The reason I give 4 and not 5 stars is because I have been to 5 star restaurants such as Mastros, Benny's, 3 Forks, and Chicago Cut. The ambiance gives it a nice "neighborhood" feel. There are caricatures of famous people all over the walls of the restaurant inside. Some have autographs.
The wait staff is professional, though a couple are a bit brash and toughened, but still nice.
There are "quiet" nooks and crannies abound, but forget about actual quiet time on a Friday or Saturday night.

"It was my wife's and my 30 wedding aniversary and the Palm had sent us a special trio dinner featuring my favorite .. veal chop. We were seated in a nice both and I ordered a bottle of Cab to start out with. My wife had the trio dinner with starters of salad or soup and featuring the tenderloin and I had the veal chop. The entree took 30 minutes to get after finishing the first course. When the entree came my wife's tenderloin that was ordered medium was rare so all the food went back to the kitchen for another 15 minutes and when it came back it was apparent that the cook leaned on the steak with his spatula since before it was nice and rounded and now it was flat and dry. My veal chop was thrown under the heat lampa and was now dry."

"Steak ordered was perfect. Potatoes might as well been from a box, flavor did not impress me. Salad with goat cheese was good but not enough goat cheese. I was looking forward for the dessert but was disappointed with the massive glob of bread and I am still trying to figure out the fruit. My sister said they were cherries but to me they were too tart. The chocolate chips on top did not compliment this dessert. Not very good. Dinner not worth the money we paid."

"I'm not sure how I feel about this place. Food was decent, but the decor lacked consistency. Pricey food that was decent, but random caricatures and vintage news on the walls. Waiters in tacky 70's-era server jackets. And all wrapped up with a palm tree restaurant logo? It just lacked a real brand message and atmosphere. I would return only if it was a convenient from my hotel again."
