"Fearrington House is just remarkable. Perhaps it's the location so close to Chapel Hill and other great universities, but unlike so many fine, five-diamond restaurants, Fearrington has a youthful energy to it. The staff is professional and yet happy to be practicing their craft at the highest level, and it shows in every detail. Every course was impeccable, the wine list is extensive but well curatedand, and the sommelier knowledgeable about all details. It was a fantastic, memorable experience for me and my wife -- and one that we'll hope to repeat at some point in the future."

"We go to Fearrington House about every four months. The chef changes the menu with the seasons and there are always new and innovative items on the menu. This is a bit pricey (four course meal is $95) but the food is definitely worth the cost. The service is superb and the setting is wonderful. If you have a special occasion this is definitely the place to take that special person."

"Sometimes I find fine dining tries too hard or feels a little strained. The fearrington house feels natural and provides fine dining effortlessly. The cocktails are creative and delicious. The food is really amazing, and while also creative, is not too "out there" and has something for everyone. The grounds are also nice for a pre or post dinner stroll."

"My husband, my brother, his fiancé and myself went to Fearrington house on a Sunday night. The grounds are beautiful and the decor very tasteful. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable about both the cuisine and wine. Even when not purchasing a very expensive bottle, he spent time telling us all about the options in our price point. Each of us had about seven courses and were not disappointed by a single one. (By the way, I was the only one at the table who was not a chef, and we were all very impressed). Each dish was delicious and the presentation impeccable. The Fearrington house is great for a special occasion and worth every penny."

"Only a few times in one's life do you have an opportunity to experience food prepared by a Master Chef. I chose Fearrington House to celebrate our 25 anniversary. I wanted this night to be special. I looked at the menus from all the top rated restaurants in the Triangle and they were all basically the same. Then I read the Fearrington menu. Creative. Imaginative. Seasonable. The Chef's Tasting Menu is extraordinary and highly recommended. You will savor every bite. The wine pairings were remarkable and truly complemented each course. Let them select the wines. You won't regret it. Take a deep breath. Realize that this is a rare opportunity to enjoy the finest food that a great Chef can prepare. You will truly have a memorable experience."

"We travel a lot, and try a lot of different restaurants. The chef's tasting menu at Fearington House was one of the best meals we have ever enjoyed. Comparable to Melisse in Santa Monica, which is another favorite. Especially good for foodies, presentation and flavors were interesting and well done. "Fearrington House Restauant is a real gem, well worth the visit. You know you are in a special place the moment you arrive in the village and stroll through the gardens on the way to the restaurant. The accolades are justified and you would be hard pressed to find a more romantic setting. Chef Bedford's elevation to Grand Chef in the Relais house is well earned, and his menu is stunning. This chef is at the top of his game, and success has not gone to his head. Take advantage of the limited time 20% on line booking discount and you have the makings of a memorable evening. "We had very high expectations going in, and they were met completely by the wonderful staff and chef. The food was exquisite and there were at least 3 special tasting dishes from the chef. They also sent us home with an array of chocolates and a box of truffles for our anniversary. One of the few times that I can remember feeling like I got what I paid for with very expensive dinner. Enjoy!"

"Always excellent. We try to get here a couple of times a year and it has always been consistently at the top of our list of great restaurants. Brought my mother-in-law here for her 87th birthday in January and she remarked "now this is Dining"! They made her feel like a queen and when she asked the maitre d' if he had a license for here walker he offered to show her one. Great chef, wonderful advice, a taste experience. Have never left feeling hungry...just very satisfied."

Everything is right: each plate a visual stunner, each course a fascinating blend of taste and texture, service at once personal, knowing and informed. I'd mentioned in my reservation that my partner is lactose intolerant and the first thing the waiter told us, unprompted and without undue weight, was a quick review of which selections were without lactose and even which ones had a minimal amount of said ingredient. It was the perfect lead-in to a sequence of dishes that thrilled without shouting, a dining experience that included every single sense (the toasted parsley made an incredible sound), and a platform conducive to civilized and intimate conversation. Perfect."

"Every year for Valentines day my wife an I go out to a higher end restaurant. I stumbled onto Fearrington House and we decided to give it a try. We love the fact that it was an old farm house. Staff was very friendly and gave good suggestions on our meal options. the tasting style menu was refreshing, it allows us to try many different items that we might not have tried otherwise. Overall, we had a great night with superb food. However, be certain you are willing to pay $250 for a meal, otherwise you may be surprised when the bill comes."
