"Really loved the drinks, food, and our waiter, however the reason why we can't give it five stars is because of the long wait for the drinks and food. Even though it was real busy it took way too long to get drinks and our food after ordering, regardless of how busy it was. It took 30 mins. for drinks and a hour for our food after ordering, not acceptable. As crazy as it may sound I will and have recommended this restaurant to our friends and would and will go back."

"Service at TB's was good - too good. Our waiter appeared at our table far too often and, as waiters do, interrupted us each time. There should be a happy medium so that diners who wish to enjoy each others' company are not constantly having to stop their conversation to answer the waiter. He reached in front of us to remove an empty plate or serve a drink. That's just rude. He should have served from the side instead of reaching in front of us. Other than that, the service was fine and he got our orders correct, plus he thoughtfully supplied fresh silverware for our desserts, so my gripe is pretty minuscule. All in all, though, we enjoyed our dining experience at TB's and would gladly return - but with a different waiter."

"Tommy Bahama is upscale - especially for the beach. The food is pricey but very worth it. However, it is not a place for young children. Two tables close by had unhappy kids who were howling. Not exactly the reason I put on a dress and spent big $$$ for our last night at the beach. The restaurant should consider a family section. The noise level is high even without the crying children. Food, however, was great. Service was attentive. Loved the standard TB decor/atmosphere."

"We enjoyed our dinner at Tommy Bahama's, though it was pricey for the quality. We felt the kid's meals were very overpriced (the list price does not include drinks - so our daughter had a plate of macaroni and cheese with no sides and a lemonade -and before tax and tip that came out to $11.50!). We sat in the bar area during Happy Hour to receive the specials, and our bill still came to about $75 before tip (for two kids and two adults), and we ordered some of the cheapest items on the menu (for example, I had a cup of soup and one happy hour appetizer, which were both excellent). We enjoyed the ambience and the steel drums. There were mistakes on our check, which our server corrected when we pointed them out."

"The restaurant did not honor our reservation time. We were told when we arrived it was still an hour and a half wait. This was even though the restaurant was 70% empty. Our server was very friendly and prompt but the manager was gruff and rude. He frequently called our waiter away when he was talking to us and did not want to seat us.
It seemed to me that the restaurant did not want anyone eating there that day and they turned everyone away at the door. Like I said it was 70% empty. The food was delicious but I wouldn't go back because of the rude manager."

"Seated very quickly (had a reservation). Sat by an open door to the patio, which provided a nice breeze. Server was attentive without being overbearing, and was knowledgeable of the menu. Crab soup and crab cakes were some of the best we have had. Fish entrees were very good: blackened fish tacos, beer battered fish, and Reuben fish sandwich. Even the kids' Mac and cheese was really good (but should have been for the price). We would definitely go back."
