"We made a return trip to this restaurant on our last night of a recent trip to AZ. We were seated on the patio, at the rail just in time to see the sun go behind Pinnacle Peak. The gathering dusk and twinkling lights of Phoenix came up and provided a spectacular view and romantic ambiance! The corn and lobster bisque (done to my dietary needs) was as spectacular as the sunset. My husband's salmon and tuna appetizer was fresh and delightful. The bison which we both had was delicious and perfectly cooked (again to our request)-as were the vegetable sides. We ended the meal with a luscious chocolate souffle to die for! With attentive and professional servers we could not have asked for more for the end of a lovely vacation.We will return....."

"Lovely restaurant located in the Desert Ridge Marriott. One vegan diner and the salad with grilled veggies was outstanding, You say, "what is the big deal with a vegetable salad?" The fresh veggies perfectly grilled had that great grilled taste and the homemade dressing was outstanding. Trust me, as a vegan, it is hard to get something that delicious unless I prepare it at home! Dining partners thought the pasta dishes were 'just ok.'"

"We sat outside on the patio, on a beautiful Spring evening, with great views and music from the wedding being held below. Great venue. The food was just OK, in fact two of us ordered the NY Steak which was less than impressive quality, not prime grade and cold by the time it was served. One comment was "No wonder they were smothered in Bluecheese" The scallops and Salmon were very good, but the salads and soups were nothing great.
I will say that the wine recommendations for reasonably priced wines were very good, and the wine list was pretty good. I may come back with friends more into wines, but only to sip and enjoy the view...not for a complete meal."

"From the beginning, our appetites whetted with a wonderful Lobster Bisque, our anticipation of the main courses was not disappointed by the savory petite Filet Migon or the creative Striped Bass. The perfect conclusion to this meal was, without a doubt, the chocolate souffle, so rich, so decadent. With food of this caliber and a view so breath-taking, this makes Talavera a true destination of worth to all those with a special someone with which they would love to share a fine dining experience."

"My family and I had a great time at Talavera celebrating my sister's birthday! We recieved great service from the moment I walked in to the time we left. The person who made our first experience at Talavera really special was Mirra our server. She was amazing with the way she treated us and the extra effort she put in to make it really special and enjoyable for the whole family, including my 2 year old niece. The food was great too, and the view and ambiance indoors and outside of the restaurant was so pretty."

"We held a business dinner and everyone at the table wanted to lick their plates. The view, the fireplaces, the serive - all outstanding. The bread is baked on the spot/daily and you can taste the difference. Menu has great options with fresh ingredients. Highly recommend! ;)"

"Food was very good, but overpriced for the quality. Ambience was nice but a bit noisy and again not comparable to price (example, no tablecloths). There was a large pary there which contributed to the noise factor. The service was good, but confusing as there were several servers. Would have preferred one contact person."

"This restaurant was absolutely amazing in all ways. My bf was here and we went for dinner the other night. The decor, ambiance, quietness, location was wonderful. The staff was impeccable and the food was indescribably delicious. We were also greeted by both chefs to ensure that our visit was to our liking...I must go back to this place, it was a very memorable evening!"

"We live so close and have never tried this restaurant. It rivals our favorite from our hometown in Columbus, Ohio, The Refectory. Although not French, the quality of service, food, wine and food presentation were top notch. The wine list is top notch and we found the perfect bottle for what we wanted to spend, and it was NOT the Screaming Eagle for $6250!! The Foie Gras was melt in your mouth wonderful and included the small dollop of peach preserve that goes so well with seared foie gras. I enjoyed their version of a caesar salad with tiny tempera shrimp and the horseradish crusted filet mignon, medium rare to perfection! We also shared the chocolate soufflé with our coffee. Truly a wonderful winter evening out."
