Embark on a cross-country road trip through the main street of America, tapping into the nation’s rich heritage and the historic days of Route 66. Enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner in this relaxed American canteen, featuring menu items such as fried green tomatoes, shrimp po’boys, and chicken and waffles with bacon and bourbon syrup. An old fashioned soda fountain serves up nostalgic milkshakes, or guests can order a hand-sliced sandwich or charcuterie board at the counter. The Proof speakeasy bar highlights small batch and craft distilled American spirits, with an emphasis on bourbon and whiskey, as well as wines from across the United States. Guests can take in the outdoors from every angle with walls that open to views of Pinnacle Peak and extensive patio dining. Televisions, games and a bustling bar bring buzzing energy to the restaurant on a nightly basis.
"This won't be a cheap night out. The burgers are $19! But if you can forget about the prices and enjoy the experience, you won't be sorry. The menu is unique and eclectic. Everything we tried, from the cocktails to the dessert, was top-notch. Amazing atmosphere and friendly service. A rare place that is just as appropriate for dinner with the family or an adult night out."

"Been to proof many times, this time the service was awful. Waited over 30 mins for him to take our order. Finally had to give the order to the manager. Drinks took over 15 mins. Asked for extra little toast for app. should showed 20 mins later brought by someone else. Never once apologized. Restaurant was not busy I would say 40% full, so that wasn't the issue. He walked by every once and while but never made eye contact. You don't think this type of service would not happen in a 5 star resort."

"Theme restaurant that caters to Baby Boomers and their children. Great energy, Four Seasons service and prices, comfort food. Fabulous setting with great sunset views of Pinnacle Peak framing the sky. Music from the 60's and 70's introducing a sense of energy and nostalgia. I would go back."

"Because the indoor and outdoor options for seating offered two completely separate sets of "ambience," I have checked special features that seem opposed to each other. The indoor scene is "livelier" (one could say "noisier") and much more kid-friendly with games and comfy sofa seating, while the outdoor scene has fantastic views and provides a casual, romantic setting with sunset views. I would tell you our favorite table on the patio, but my selfish motivation won't let me divulge it! (There really are no bad seats.) The burgers and homemade chips are wonderful, and service is very attentive without being overbearing. Altogether a lovely evening. We're nearby locals, but this is a great resort restaurant for tourists!"

"Always say something nice. Great location. Good wine, beer and cocktail list. But, mediocre food. Mushy, under-seasoned grits and boring pulled pork. Tried it, won't be back."

"We had dinner here twice in the same week as we were staying at the Four Seasons Scottsdale and it was convenient for our purposes.
The restaurant is fun and energetic. The staff here is spectacular (Keisha the bartender was so engaging and Sherry the manager was so friendly and warm) we felt like VIPs!
The menu is quite varied and there are choices for everyone. Prices are reasonable and the setting is fun and entertaining. I recommend sitting outside if possible.
All of the food choices we had were very good.
This is a fun and fabulous place to enjoy a casual night out."

"This was my second visit to the Four Seasons' newest foray into the casual dining scene. The dinner menu is casual as billed nd food delicious. For some reason though, service was just a notch or two below the standard of the Four Seasons. We were there before the dinner rush hit so am not sure the reason it took so long to get our food. And our waiter was clueless when I asked what kind of greens were in the 'ham hock southern greens'. His answer was 'green leafy vegetables'! Turns out they were collard greens but we had to order to find this out. Overall a great outdoor dining experience in a beautiful setting."

"We had guests from out of town and they enjoyed the outdoor eating in a very nice setting. Our server was a little confused on our orders, but when we finally got the food it was quite good. This is not (and is not meant to be) gourmet dining; so for what it is, it is very good. My burger was over-cooked but onion rings were wonderful. Oyster appetizer is to be missed - not very tasty. But meat loaf was wonderful, fish was good and dessert was passable. Here's a plus - good outdoor heaters."

"The entries were very good. The deserts were a big let down. Expensive, small size and not good!! Also, wine and liqour are priced like you're in Talavera not a coffee shop."

"Almost no outdoor lighting. Terrible service. Food portions small, expensive and menu misleading. Menu was limited with no healthy options. The waiter made a poor presentation, especially for being employed at The Four Seasons Scottsdale Resort."

"We have always loved the location when it was Crescent Moon and wanted to try the new Proof Canteen. It was pricey but we went on a special 50% off all food offer so that was great.
Menu a bit too trendy. Wait staff highly recommended the meatloaf but it was bland and the bacon it was wrapped in was not cooked at all.
Dined outside and loved the view and ambiance. Have talked to others who ate inside and said it was too noisy.
Liked the indoor shuffleboard table!
Hope it makes it but I have my doubts."

"The food was different and very good. The service was attentive and also helpful with choosing our entree's. The only negative was the liquor cost; a simple martini was $19 and a VERY small glass of wine was $11!! If you go have your cocktails at home. Our food bill for one salad to share, two entree's, and a shared dessert was $80; fairly reasonable for a special occasion."

"Went on a Thursday night to celebrate my birthday with a friend. It was a mixed crowd probably due to the middle of the week. We ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes as an appetizer, pretty tasty. I proceeded to order their "We Have the Best Burger". I honestly can say it was just ok. It was a good burger but nothing special in my book to drive that far for. My guest ordered the Chicken and Waffles. Come to find out when our order came out, they forgot to put his in and mine sat cold in front of me while they tried to stifle the wait by putting pretzels in front of him. Took about another 30 minutes for it to come out. They did comp his meal in the end which was appreciated. Our service lacked a lot. We were there almost 2 hours due to service."

"The food was disappointing. I ordered a chop salad that was bland and not dressed properly. My friend ordered chicken that arrived very dry and tough, the waiter made no effort to correct the situation. The sunset and views were great, but no different and less private than what I already have in my own backyard in north Scottsdale. Also, the hostess made a careless mistake and had my guest waiting at the bar for 20 minutes while I waited at our table. Overall, this was not a good value for the money."

"This a great place with a spectacular view of Pinnacle Peak. However, the highlight is the indoor decor. The attention to detail is impressive because it goes to the smallest detail, give a feel that you step back time. It's detail to the past equivalent to that of the Series, Mad Men. I've dined here 3 times and will be back many more. Everything that I've tasted and been delicious. However, most of the menu is for the one day a week when you splurge and leave your low calories meals for the other 6 days. You won't be disappointed. It's comfort food taken up a notch."

"From a Four Seasons restaurant, I expected high prices, great service, great food, and lovely atmosphere. All we got was the high prices. This is a glorified sports bar, very noisy, difficult to carry on conversation. Pork chop overcooked, salmon was fishy. Service was average, took too long between seeing waiter. We had the 1/2-price coupon, and we will not return. What a shame, the previous restaurant was terrific."

"Everything was just great except for the noise. All modern day restaurants seem to be built and decorated to enhance the noise of the kitchen, the activity in the dinning room and of course the music seems to always be earth shattering. We try to find places where the noise factor is somewhere below ear splitting."

"Would I recommend is a Yes and No. The noise level at the restaurant on Saturday night was so high that our table of 6 could not hear the person at the other end. Very distracting. Food was great, service was great, but the next time I go, it will definitely be when we can sit outside on the patio and enjoy the view and hopefully be able to hear the person sitting next to us. Very upbeat atmosphere, but music could have been lower when the place is full of people."

"Proof is the newest restaurant at the Four Seasons Resort. The restaurant was pretty busy on Friday night: lots of people all around. There is no real definition between the "dining room" and the bar, making the room very energetic but unfortunately quite loud. Service was efficient overall while casual and friendly. Food was good, not great but not inexpensive. Proof is not the place where I would bring my wife for a romantic dinner; a great place though with a group of friends for drinks and appetizers."

"There were 4 of us in the party. The wine selection by the glass was very poor; Pinot Grigio & Merlot were not available by the glass! The appetizers were expensive and spicy. The 2 ladies ordered the Salad Louie which was so spicy that the salads were returned. This restaurant does not serve bread; only pretzel knots that you must purchase. The Meatloaf was passable and the Double Cut Pork Chops were cooked perfectly but were very salty. The Corn Spoon Bread had a load of jalapeno peppers making it too hot to eat so the server replaced it with Mac and Cheese that was way too salty. For a restaurant that wants to be known for serving Americana comfort food, they have missed the target. They are one more Southwestern, spicy food restau"

"Overall, I did not see much to recommend Proof. The hostess wanted to seat us by the kitchen when the restaurant was almost empty. She said that better tables were for reservations. My wife said,"We have a reservation." We were ready to leave when suddenly a better table magically became available. We ordered sandwiches. My hamburger was so greasy it soaked into the bun making it too greasy to eat. My wife felt that her French Fries were limp with grease. Proof wants to project itself as a touch of bygone Americana. It does succeed in that it is a "Greasy Spoon!""

"The only complaint was the noise factor. It was extremely loud. There were six us of in our group and we had to yell to hear each other. We really enjoyed the decor, especially the old fashioned soda fountain and candy bar. The food was very good. We were celebrating a birthday and they brought us a complimentary platter of mini desserts to share as well as mini organge floats with vanilla icecream. The portions were small enough that we still had room for dessert, which was all homemade, including the icecream."

"We have eaten here quite a few times and loved it, but this last time was very trying. There was a large group of men at the bar and dining at the bar. They behaved as if they were alone in the restaurant....shouting, yelling etc. no one could hear each other talk, and the service was slow. Mostly, the noise was so terrible that if I eat here again,, it will have to be outside.
This is The Four Season. It's not a sports bar. If people want to yell and carry on, they need a private room. They should have been told they were very disturbing. Instead the restaurant just said they were sorry. That's not good enough. They should have been told to keep it down, or leave"
