"Super friendly staff. Awesome sushi. You pay a bit more but it's worth the atmosphere. $30 person (that includes a super tasty cocktail). You have to try their captain crunch role with some type of peanut sauce. It's brilliant."

"We went on date night and tried the date night special. The food was good and the new server was friendly but even though we had reservations they still sat us at a little table that was an extension of the kitchen. I almost felt like we were the test table. I would recommend they remove that table as an option for seating."

"Walked in and stood around for a while because nobody was as the hostess stand. When the host arrived, he seemed more bother by our arrival than anything else. However, that was the only negative aspect. Our waitress was fun and very attentive. The food was absolutely amazing...try the egg roll s'mores! Had to get our own coats upon leaving as nobody was at the hostess stand again. They definitely need a designated hostess. There is something to be said for a warm welcome and nice send off."

"My husband and I were in the Cities visiting my son, who is a student at the U. We were there to take him and his older brother out for dinner. They had been to The Social House a few times before and raved about it ~ "The best!!"" So we decided that we would give it a try, though we don't have a lot of experience with sushi. Our "boys" selected a variety of items from the menu and we kept adding to them. It was a great variety and quite delicious. We had a very nice evening and would certainly go back again next time we are in town."

"The staff was outstanding! We were 30 min late for our reservation due to the whether and they were so completely understanding of the situation. When we got there they seated us right of way and served us right of way in a manner that made us feel very important. Never did they rush us and let us have our fun. Loved the experience at Social House and I would definitely recommend this spot."

"Went for Tuesday $30 date night. Choices were limited and portions were pretty small, but overall it was still a good deal. Happy hour seemed like a good value too, though it's too bad it doesn't include any of their craft cocktails. Overall, I would definitely go back, especially for happy hour, or as one stop during a night out in uptown."

"You want the motion of the busiest intersection in the city as a backdrop to your hot date's fine apparel? You want to be close to the uptown bar scene so you can get your sushi and sake before making the rounds? This is your place.
I had the cheeseburger egg rolls (which tells you this place pokes fun at its own menu) which were surprisingly good. And now I've probably lost credibility with you fine diners, and that's okay, because this place is more about atmosphere, decent asian-american appetizers, great sushi, and a sake menu unlike any other. A great bar scene and service without snobbery. Go for the environment and bring your party pants."

I specifically requested that the restaurant make the reservation under "Charlie Belz" and they failed to do so which made a bad first impression. Other than that I have no complaints about my experience at the Social House."
