"Second Anniversary was a success. Food is so incredible, service too. It is pricey, so only a once in a while treat. The side dishes are quite large, be warned. The server was knowledgable and offered me a black linen napkin so I wouldn't get white lint on my dark pants. We'll definitely be back."

"Great night out with close friends, wonderful food, wine and ambiance. What I enjoyed is the nice background music that was subtle and not too loud. Service was the best in town and perhaps the best that I have ever experienced. Menu selections provided nice selection for everyone's tastes. Definitely a return visit on very special occasions."

"Despite many good comments from friends, we fond Mahogany to be very noisy, unnecessarily...wait staff seemed very good at slamming doors and drawers and dropping things...running around a lot and moving too fast talking too fast. I was frenetic. No need for that..the place was not that busy...and the fact of the matter is that the work could be done BETTER by backing off just a bit. Our server talked so fast none of us really understood what she said and when she returned we asked her to please slow down...and she did for about 10 seconds.
Food was good, although presentation was nothing special.
Pricey cuts of meat, but tasty."

We Amex the price of the lobster appetizer at $29 which we purchased, asked the price and were pleased with. This is not a steak house but a fleasing operation. The ribeye was not very good and the fruit and berry non exsistant Grand Marnier desert was another bait and switch."

"We were a group of 6 who couldn't believe that we had spent a very enjoyable 3 hours in a restaurant. Service was excellent; it was smooth and didn't disturb us unduly. Our primary was very knowledgeable about the menu and very pleasant to work with. The steaks were excellent but more fresh vegetables could have been available for the sides. Crab cakes were excellent but the scallops were not as much of a hit. The dessert cakes while good were as chilled as if they had just come out of the cooler. However, all in all we had a great evening. Thank you Mahogany Grill and staff."

"Food was outstanding. The scallops in the appetizer are huge and delicious. Our steaks were cooked perfectly. They ask you to cut into the steak while they shine a light on it to make sure it's properly cooked which was a nice touch. Service otherwise wasn't on par with the food. It felt like the servers weren't well-trained. Aside from the first glass, they didn't pour any of our wine, not even for the other person at the table - they literally poured ONE glass.
I recommend trying the restaurant if you want a great steak, but I doubt we'll go back. When you spend over $200 for a meal for two, you should receive service to match, and Mahagony fell flat. There are better high-end options in Omaha."

"Our second trip. Both ordered steaks. Shrimp cocktail. shrimp was great. My steak was slightly undercooked and asked to have it refired. When it came back it had been soaked in too much butter (butter pooled on the plate), making it a little greasy. Wife had a filet that was perfect. Had the corn vegetable which was fresh cut off the cob and amazing. The fresh hot bread loaf was exceptional.
Overall an enjoyable experience. Pricey for Omaha but worth it"

"For several years we have reserved Mahogany for our 2 or 3 special occasions per year. Until now we have never been disappointed and have highly recommended it to friends, family, and business associates. My wife's $59 bone in ribeye was not especially tender and flavorful as promised; comparable perhaps to ribeyes at half that price at other restaurants. My standard ribeye was well seasoned but as tough as most less expensive cuts. The sides of potatoes au gratin, cream spinach, and salads were great, and the service was excellent as usual. Since it was a special occasion, we did not want to spoil the evening by complaining about the steaks, but we will celebrate our next special occasion elsewhere."

"This was my first time dining at Mahogany Prime, it will also be my last. I knew this was an expensive restaurant, and I was expecting a fabulous meal for this price instead I got a very mediocre meal at best. The Fillet was dry and not very tender. Everything was over seasoned with pepper! The beef tips in mushroom sauce was so peppery that a couple time it made me choke. The au gratin potatoes where also very peppery to the point they were basically inedible. The asparagus was cooked correctly but had large clumps of pepper coating areas of it, and while not over cooked or under cooked it also had no seasoning or flavor besides the large clumps of pepper. The absolute worst were the onion strings, they were limp, flat, and tasteless."

"Mahogany is one of my favorite steakhouses in the nation. The food and service is second to none. I have been there on two occasions, once for my parents' 20th wedding anniversary and the second for my mom's birthday. Both times they made us feel special and made my family's special night extraordinary. I recommend starting with the Full Monte which is the seafood sampler platter. The smoked salmon, the trout spread and the crab cake are fabulous. We also had the lobster special which was prepared escargot style with butter, garlic and cheese. For dinner we all had steaks which were prepared exactly to order. Mahogany is worth the splurge and the trip out to West Omaha."

"Had a wonderful father and daughters dinner at Mahogany Prime Omaha. The lobster escargot was a delicious start. Lauren raved about the house salad and Gina loved the crab and lobster bisque. Our steaks were excellent, as well as our side dishes. Our waiter Adam, was able to provide an ad hoc desert of fresh berries and ice cream for me, while the girls split the triple chocolate cake. Awesome all the way around!"

"Share the sides and desserts because they are huge! Beware of adding extras if you don't know the high cost of adding them! These extras aren't on the menu for a reason! It;s a gotcha when the bill comes unless you ask when ordering, but then who does when it makes you look cheap in an expensive restaurant?"

"Was a wonderful experience. Food and service was great. The only thing I would comment about was the booth we were seated at was too small for three people. When we commented on this, the server asked it we wanted to be moved, but it was too late because the table was already filled with too much stuff! That was may only complaint."

"My wife and I go to Mahogany quite often. We also have the privilege of traveling for work and have eaten at some of the finest restaurants in the country. Mahogany is right up there, but much less expensive. We started with the tomato-mozzarella salad. Generous portion. The tomatoes were fresh. The mozzarella and vinegar combination works well and the dish overall was quite tasty. We shared a new york strip that was cooked flawlessly and delicious. My wife had a house salad as her entry which Mahogany unlike most upscale restaurants does not complain about. We had a side of French fries. Hot, delicious, and plentiful. I have nothing bad to say, other than Mahogany should either change its specials or add them to the everyday men"
