"Waiter too hovering - pushy - tried to enjoy cocktail & company & take time studying menu. Restaurant not busy. Waiter hovered & had no patience. We did not want to be rushed."

"This is a favorite of ours. The Insalata Barbietole is the best I've had. Something about the dressing... Their homemade meatballs are delicious, as is their gnocchi. Their soups are delicious too! The service is so friendly; always greeting us with a smile."

"It's hard to find a good restaurant right in our neighborhood without having to venture further out to San Carlos/RWC or up to San Mateo. There are plenty of casual dining spots but if you're looking for something a little more upscale without murdering your wallet, then there isn't much to choose from. I'm glad we ended up stopping in to check out Divino though, as they have some pretty delicious dishes and provide a warm, elegant ambience to eat in. Not the best Italian I've had but a solid choice in Belmont!"

"Nice place to eat for a special occasion. Well prepared food with very tasty pasta dishes. Sat near the kitchen, but the kitchen door was left open the whole time....which was not pleasent. Good service with quick refills of water and soda for the kids. They had a pair of reading glasses handy for my 89 year old mother in law who forgot her glasses."

"Another visit found the food excellent as usual with great service. The special of the nights was truly outstanding: Tagliolini al Granchio, homemade thin noodles with fresh crab done in a Prosecco wine sauce with fresh tomatoes and arugula. The lentil soup: excellent, as always, as was the other appetizer of meatballs with a tomato sauce. It continues to be one of only a few places on the Peninsula to have truly Italian food that is prepared as it should be, just like you're in Italy. Service by our waiter, Juan-Carlos, and his staff was perfection. Bravo!"

"We went there to celebrate my husband's birthday. We were treated like family, from the moment of taking my reservation over the phone, until we were leaving. They have a beautiful selection of wines, and if you ask for a recommendation, will pair your dish perfectly. Perfect place for both a romantic dinner for two, or dinner for a family with young children like ours. If you want an old fashioned and exquisite dining experience by a professional staff, then look no further. We'll certainly be back to treat ourselves to more! Thank you everyone at Divino!"

"Very nice and enjoyable neighborhood place. As yet undiscovered. Recently updated and quite lovely bar. We really enjoyed being able to have nice conversation. Could hardly hear other diners speaking."

"Co-owner Carlos is a warm and friendly person who is always happy to accommodate a special menu request. Everyone on the staff has treated us like family and been very nice to our chidren. They serve very good food in a relaxed atmosphere. We recently were there on an extremely busy evening and did not feel at all rushed through our dinner."

"I am disappointed in Divinos. The food in the past was very tasty, home cooked, and fresh. From the waiters to the entrees, I felt like I was in Italy. The pre-remodel Divinos had a warm, inviting, comfortable ambience which was part of the experience. Now, part of the restaurant is warm and inviting and the other part is sterile, cold and uninviting. The food is very pricey for dishes that tasted like they had been cooked and then rewarmed. I absolutely loved Divinos in the past, but due to the poor quality and pricing, I won't be coming back for awhile."

"We have been here twice now, for special occasion as well as just for a great night out, and the food is always amazing, service is great, and we will be coming back here again and again. We always leave very satisfied and can't wait to come back and try something different the next time. Always good to have a reservation though, as spots fill up fast in this small neighborhood gem! :)"

"Fresh salmon special was excellent. My friends veal scallopine was dreadful. Wine was excellent and the serving generous. The waiter was attentive and gracious. We were served a surprise panna cotta with a candle. The waiter must have overheard me wishing my friend a Happy Birthday."

"Jlast time we were disappointed, bit everything was delicious. We saw the owner Vinchenzo there so we wonder if that was the differece. Grilled caramali with beans, meat balls sea bteam dessert all excellent and the wine wad so reasonably priced."

"I don't know what happened: Divino used to be such a gem. But this time the food was really disappointing. There was nothing Caesar about the Caesar salad: no croutons, no parmesan, watery dressing. And the clams in the pasta didn't taste fresh, and the sauce was uninspired.
I hope that they do better with others; I'd hate to see a great neighborhood restaurant lose its luster."
