"We had asked for a table in the downstairs dining room. The host assured us that we would be much more comfortable in the upstairs dining area. Ten minutes after wewere seated a party of at least 20 arrived and was seated next to us. This party was terribly loud, obnoxious and quite rude. My wife and I could not even carry on a conversation over dinner. This was out first and most definitely last trip to Lucia."

"The food was really good. The service was slow. Several times we waited quite a while for our drinks to be refilled. We sat on the porch and even though it was not really cold all 4 of the heaters were going at full which made it uncomfortably hot.
Overall, we will probably go back to see if this was a one-time event on the service."

"This is probably fifth or so time we dined at Lucia. As always the food was outstanding, drinks great and atmosphere just perfect - not too noisy, but not so quiet. It did take almost 15 minutes to get water on the table and another 5 minutes to PLACE order for drinks. But the food was outstanding and wines were great as always, which compensated for the slower service."

"We had a great meal. The food was good, the menu choices are varied and interesting and the wine we ordered was delicious and reasonably priced. The service was excellent but they 'hovered' a little too much making us feel rushed even though I don't think that was their intention. We would go back!"

"Second time visiting. We beat the crowds at 430 but stayed until 7 and it was packed. They are continuing "restaurant week" even though it is officially over. They offer 3 amazing courses for $28. They also have an excellent happy hour selection which made it hard to choose. We all enjoyed everything immensely! Pear Gorgonzola baguette was yummy! Even the spinach pear salad. I'll you decide. We also had Sicilian meatballs, salmon and gnocchi. Good luck!"

"We went here for Seattle Restaurant Week. It was fine, but nothing special. I had their "signature" pasta which was nothing special. It was like an alfredo - heavy cream sauce. I wish I had gone with the grilled salmon. I would definitely go again if I were in the neighborhood."

"Went to Lucia during Restaurant week! Ive lived in Kirkland for 2 years, and drive by Lucia at least 4 times a week due to the nearby grocery store, but never went in. Their special menu was really diverse and creative. My meal was wonderful, server was knowledgeable and the restaurant was really fun atmosphere.
We went on a Thursday night that wasn't particularly busy, but seems like it would be a great place to meet for HH or eat on the weekends.
So glad we chose Lucia"

"My girlfriend and I went Lucia's for the first time last evening as it was participating in Seattle Restaurant Week special. So, it was booked up which we were not sure is typical of most Wednesday nights. We sat in the upstair's loft looking down on the entrance area and somewhat removed from the crowds.
The food was innovative and tasted delicious. We both had the pear and Gorgonzola crostinis followed by the wild salmon that came with gnocchi and asparagus. For dessert my friend had the dolce with salted carmel sauce and I had the warm chocolate soufflé as they were already out of the chocolate decadence cake by 7:30 pm, but it was an amazing substitution that I would have again. The portions were good size and we did not leave hungry."

"I went to Lucia's on Saturday night for my 46th Birthday. We had reservations for 10 at 7pm. Our waiter was Chris. He wasn't very friendly, infact he acted like he would rather be doing anything but serving us. Our drinks took forever. We went to the bar to order drinks once ourselves. The food took a long time too and it would of been nice to have the bread to munch on while we were waiting, but he brought it right before we got our food. The bread looked amazing but it was cold and soggy. It would of been delicious if it was heated up. I ordered the pasta proscuito and it was a big bowl of hot steaming noodles that had soaked up all the sauce and were extremely over cooked. Kind of reminded me of top ramen."

"I wanted to rate the food as "Very Good" but I ordered the Chicken Cannelloni and to my surprise my plate arrived with only one. Cannelloni is a plural word in Italian, which I why I was confused (cannellone is the singular). It was a very small portion, so thank goodness I had a bunch of starters. In the end the cannellone was delicious, but I think the portion should at least include 2 cannelloni.
Also, I thought I would mention that every other dish that my table ordered was very favorably sized, so I hope Lucia can just increase the portion size of the cannelloni."

"I found Lucia on a google search hoping to go to a new restaurant. I was directed to it because of the good ratings it had received and rightfully so. The environment was comfortable and romantic, the staff were very attentive to our needs and constantly checked to make sure we had everything we needed. "First time for us, getting the food was a little slow, others who arrived after us were served before us. Waitress, was very attentive, apologized and gave us a complimentary drink. The food was worth the wait. My wife and I shared the Poached Pear Salad, I thought she had the veal, yet, I don’t see it on the menu online, whatever it was, turned out fabulous. I had the Chicken Cannelloni. It came in piping hot, and the first taste told me this was something great. I normally eat fairly fast, not this night. I wanted to savor every bite as this was the best Cannelloni I have ever eaten."

"We went for Valentine's Dinner. Food and service was very average. For Valentine's Day, I was surprised to see that there was no special decorations inside the restaurant not even a flower on the table, especially surprising when I found out the manager was a woman, seeing there was nothing specially done for interior decoration on such a special day. Food was average. It was not bad, but I think it was overpriced for the quality and amount. Service was okay. Was surprised to see one of the servers (not ours) pick up my plate then drop it flat onto the floor which made a VERY loud noise that it scared not only me but the woman sitting behind me but the server just rolled her eyes and then said "lovely!" and walked away. Not impressed"

"Well, let me start off by saying the atmosphere in Lucia is very good. Low-lighting is nice and showing the old movies is a nice touch. We had reservations made a week prior for Valentine's Day and it was so nice to get a phone call ahead. We had wonderful appetizers!!! Halfway through our appetizers we ordered our entrees and we waited a whole hour before we got them!!!! That should never happen, especially on Valentine's Day, but it did. We were in good company, so that was nice. The waitress came to us only two times in that hour and said she wasn't sure why it was taking so long. Pretty sure she forgot. We were not comp'd anything, but yet we didn't complain either. It was just a little disappointing. It was all good, besides that."

"We recently celebrated our 25th anniversary with Lucia. The staff could not have been nicer and we truly felt special for our evening. We did change tables (to avoid having the barside tables right above us) and our waiter was a bit overwhelmed.The rest of the staff saw this,pitched in to get our Prosecco started and our wine opened. The food was delicious, though the seabass was overwhelmed by all of the peppers. Next time, I'll order it again, but have it without the peppers and potatoes and with a side of their outrageous gnochi with pink sauce. Truly a mind blowing dish. The only down side was that our server, who appeared a bit less harried never cleared off the empty bottle/glasses from our table nor poured our dinner wine."
