"We enjoyed the meal very much. The service was good but with too many refills on the ice tea. When I reviewed my bill there was a charge for wine which was not mine. The waiter apologized and reworked the bill showing me that she had taken off the charge that did not belong to me"

"Overall, a great experiance at Bob's. The food was very good as usual and the steaks are hard to beat. The service was solid and helpful. We brought our 9 year old son and they offered a small 3 oz filet for him which was nice and about the right size. The chocolate cake for dessert was terrific and the best 'deal' on the menu as it was easily shared by the 3 of us. Would recommend. Of course, your going to spend a few bucks to get all of this!"

"My wife and I chose Bob's Steak and Chop House in Grapevine to celebrate our 14 year wedding anniversary. We loved the decor and dim lighting. The only complaint about the food is that our ribeye steaks were cooked unevenly due to the uneven cut of the meat. I ordered mine prepared medium, but parts of my steak were medium-well while the thicker portion was closer to rare. My wife will not eat steak cooked less than medium-well so she was not able to eat half of her steak because it was in between rare and medium.
Water glasses were filled promptly and frequently, but alas our server only stopped by two times and was slow bringing the check and settling the bill."

"We have been to Bob's several times but this time was a little off. Service was good but steak wasn't quite there and we were seated at a tiny two top even though we made a reservation and our server/hostess knew we were there for our anniversary. We have always had a booth. A positive was that even though we were stuffed, or server sent us home with 2 pieces of their delicious carrot cake on the house."

"Dined at this spot several times with relative success. Chalk this bad experience up to the server. Several large groups in the restaurant. Did not get our order in prior to theirs even though he could have if he would have been even mildly attentive. Overlooked the steak then argued that it was done as ordered. Manager was no help although he comped the steak.
One note: smoking allowed in the bar so it spills over into the dining area.
Going to be a while if I try them again."

"Been a fan of Bobs for years, but they had a bad,bad night. Starting with a cap fees salad that was so cold the tomatoes had no taste and the mozzarella was hard. The prime rib had to be sent back due to poor perpetration and the service was a disaster. 20 minutes to get a waitress to fix the steak and the. Another 20 minutes to get horseradish.
Yikes!"

"We were looking for a special place for my wife's birthday. I specifically asked that they 'do something special', but not sing/dance, etc. The manager came over, wished my wife a happy birthday, thanked us for coming, etc. It was a really nice touch! This is now my favorite restaurant. Oh, and by the way, the food was unmatched!"

"My recommendation will include the following information, both bad and good.
Smoking in the bar. Had to walk through smoke to get to a mostly smoke free dining area. The restaurant was very noisy compared to other similarly priced establishments. Apparently there is no dress code other than "business casual" which seems to include middle aged men in bermuda shorts and t-shirts.
The wait staff was knowledgeable and attentive. The wine list was quite impressive, but no descriptions of the wines.
The fried calamari was tasty and tender. The 9 oz filet mignon was tender, but needed a speck of salt to awaken more flavor. We will not dine there again because it is NOT smoke free. Too noisy and crowded for the price."

The food at Bob's is truly amazing. an englishman and does love good lamb. However, mint jelly is NOT on his list for his lamb. Before we come we always visit the British Emporium to purchas MINT SAUCE then he requests malt vinegar at the restaurant and mixes his own. So, we suggest you add MINT SAuce and leave out the mint jelly."

"Prime Filet was great and what you would expect from a steakhouse of this caliber. The side dishes ( tomato & onion salad , mushrooms, asparagus) didn't fully support the quality of the prime beef. Service was attentive and was seated as my reservation requested."

"Excellent food and service overall - the establishment was clearly well taken care of. My girlfriend and I were stuck with an overly enthusiastic water refill server, which actually proved to be quite an annoying distraction from an expensive romantic date when someone is leaning across the table to grab your drink after a single sip every 5 minutes. Other than that - our waiter/waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly."

"We always have a great meal at Bob's. It's a birthday destination for my son. Steaks and sides are great. There was a mixup with the shrimp appetizer. Our server suggested we substitute the special bacon-wrapped BBQ shrimp with the other shrimp on the shrimp platter so that we could try them out. Sounded like a great idea until we got the check and were charged for both appetizers ($25 and $35). Didn't complain because it was clearly a misunderstanding,although pricy one. That was the only issue. The server was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly and offerred desert to our birthday guest(s)-we had 2 that night. The GM came out to add toppings to our baked potatoes. If you haven't tried Bob's, you have to go."

"i was very disappointed in their "surf and turf." it was 2 medallions of filet, which looked like they had been hacked to death, and three very bland and blah scallops. i prefer lobster or shrimp, at least, for the "surf." i think their offerings are very "old-fashioned." My husband ordered steamed broccoli that tasted like it was steamed in water, no flavor and no seasoning. I don't get the gigantic glazed carrot in the middle of my plate. the only thing i did enjoy was their blue cheese salad, and would recommend it to blue cheese lovers!"

"Other than a very snobby and condescending hostess, everything else was excellent.
Great bar area where you may smoke sigars if that is what you do, I don't but I understand that they have a great selection and you can't smell the smoke from the dinning room. Very attentive wait staff and brilliant food, everything was superv, from the salad to the steak. I didn't have dessert but I understand that those are great also."

"Great steak. Daughter got the oscar topping - which was $30.00 extra dollars! That made hers a $74 filet. Ouch. I like this place. The filets are great. Wish it were just a little more affordable. $10 "well" cocktails, $15 - $20 glasses of wine."
