"We love this restaurant and we had a great Mother's Day dinner at Via Luna on Sunday night. The service and the food were exceptional. We were with our 2 sons (3 and 6 y. o.) They loved the kids menu and were very happy and quiet during the entire dinner. We enjoyed the fabulous atmosphere, great decor and tasty dishes. Fried calamari appetizer was very good. The signature margaritas were delicious and good size. My husband had the duck confit w pasta for the main corse. It's his favorite dish at this place and it was perfect, as always. I had New England scallops and it was also really tasty. Kids Mac & Cheese and Chicken tenders were homemade style and our picky eaters were really enjoying both meals. We will definitely return!"

"The food and service were great. If you go there, ask for Michael he was an outstanding waiter. We had ordered a Pinot Noir which was out of stock so Michael had recommended another Pinot Noir which was fantastic. The name of the wine was Cocabella. We ordered a variety of food all of which were great. I would highly recommend Via Luna."

"This was a big disappointment for a Ritz Carlton. My wife ordered fried calamari to start which came out mushy instead of crispy. My octopus and pasta dish arrived grossly overcooked. The wine we ordered was unavailable. The servings were so large they were offputting. We eat at our local Ritz Carlton in Amelia Island frequently where all three restaurants, including sports bar, are superior to the Via Luna in Fort Lauderdale."

"A great view of the Ocean, outdoor seating raised off the walkway, and a service staff that is top notch, Via Luna is a great location within a great location, Ft Lauderdale. The only complaint is the outdoor lighting, which we were told was due to the sea turtles. Evidently, if the lighting was anything but the awful yellow bulbs, the turtles would try to cross the street and risk death, rather than spawning on the beach. Long story short, the yellow lights make the food look horrendous, but the taste is superior... I suggest eating indoors, and having cocktails on the patio."

"My meal was EXCELLENT from start to finish. The olive oil whipped potatoes are to die for :-) Sitting on the patio of Via Luna is the only way to dine here. You get to watch all of the people on the boardwalk."

"The food was ok, the server was tremendously friendly, attentive and knowledgable. One complaint is the outdoor lighting - we sat as a party of four on the 'patio' facing the ocean - was very nice. However, the outdoor lighting, turned on around 7 PM was absolutely horrific. The idea of Via Luna is a moonlight guide for birthing turtles; I get that. However, yellow overhead lighting is absolutely awful for food service... If you are eating, stay inside. Having cocktails for a fantastic ocean view, sit outside."

"Do not sit outside in the dark (or really ever). The patio is adjacent to a busy road and thus lacks some ambiance. At dark, the lights to protect the turtles make everything look weird. Eat inside - I wish we would have.
The food was amazing - as was the service. I enjoyed the lobster risotto."

"Service in both the bar and dining room were excellent. Atmosphere was very nice but food was poor. We only had entrees but both dishes were meager portions (think tapas) and little flavor. The pasta specia was described as baby shrimp and truffle. The shrimp were diced into little bits and there was no truffle to speak of in any form (oil, shaving, etc.). The lamb was 3 ounces of meat at best. Expected the food at the Ritz to match its service. The back of house needs to catch up with the front."
