"I saw this restaurant while driving through Warren NJ, and I was intrigued by the outdoor gazebo area. Looked it up online and decided to give it a try since it looked so nice from the outside. We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful atmosphere inside and the great food.

"The food was fantastic, did not get dessert out waiter was very slow and after the dessert menus came we sat for quite a while before he ever cans back, at that point we just wanted to leave. Hopefully next time service will be better."

"The food was generally good, but overpriced. $11 for a flavorless romaine lettuce appetizer salad and $33 for a small piece of Sea Bass over a small portion of greens. Really? The dessert was great, but again small and expensive.
The service was horrible. We ate outside, so maybe that was the issue. Rarely saw our waiter, and when we did it would take 15 minutes just to get another glass of wine. The people at the next table waited 20 minutes fo their dessert."

"Originally we were seated right next to the open kitchen. The cooking odors were realy intense-I thought I would leave smelling like food. However they were very accomodating when we asked to be moved and gave us a much better location. The food was very good. I decided to try the sushi rolls as an appetizer. While it was not the best sushi I ever had and they don't have as big a selection as a regular sushi bar, I would say it was very good and definitely fresh. We had soft shell crabs for our entre that were a special that evening. They were excellent! Very flavorful. Service was excellent. Our waiter was very helpful. They had a good slection of wine at reasonable prices."

"Our server was not aware of the menu and was lacking professionalism. He also had an overall "edge" attitude-wise. Next to us the server dropped a drink on a man who had to eat dinner in his undershirt. The reception staff and wait staff did not match the vibe of the restaurant and the good food."

"It's a nice place. Drinks were good. Our table was a bit too dark for our liking, but it was workable. The food was good, a nice selection of breads, an interesting plate of assorted goodies is brought out with the bread. Complaints would be one entree came out with clams that didn't open. This was taken care of as soon as it was brought to their attention. The service was spotty at times. Will definitely go again."

"Review of stone house
Just came back from Sunday brunch at this place. Never been so disappointed at any restaurant. To be fair, here are the good and the bad.
1. The setting is very nice indeed.
2. The food is at the level of Golden Corral at best, but the price is more than five times. And OJ is not even included in Sunday brunch! It cost $4 for a glass of regular OJ. Food quality examples: fish is full of bones, omelet is tasteless (cooks at the omelet stands do not appear to be experienced), sushi rolls are dry and rice grains chewy, ...
3. The reservation process was daunting. The restaurant called to confirm multiple times after the initial reservation as if it would be cancelled any time. They apparently don't trust people."

"Went for an early Mothers Day brunch and it was a pleasant surprise! Food was great-calamari is a must! Had the crabs Benedict and it was awesome! My brother ordered the steak sandwich which he deemed "the best steak sandwich he ever had". My husband's egg white omelet was very healthy if u need a lighter choice. My only complaint is that one waiter, when asked what kind of sparkling water they served, answered with an emphatic "I don't know" and left it as that! He could've offered to find out but didnt. All others provided great service!"

"We went to the Stone House at the recommendation of a friend for our anniversary. The service was friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. The only thing I will say is after brunch we sat at the bar and the bartender dropped a container of something and it went all over her and the bar. She was very unprofessional in her language and then began to throw more objects around behind the bar. Again, we did not really care but it was TOTALLY unprofessional and had one of her managers seen her actions she probably would be at unemployment right now!"

"I came for dinner with my mother, and the food was wonderful, the service great, and the ambience in the dining room was wonderful, with the large fireplace and soft lighting. The chatter from tables around us was a pleasant background noise, accompanied by soft jazz music, and we were able to talk easily. It was a wonderful evening."

"Great for our group of 14. Food was excellent and they pay attention to little details like special menu titles recognizing the guest of honor. 2nd time we've been here and both times all three courses were great. Clams and mussels are delicious to start, along with tuna. Steaks were all tasty with a variety of sauces to choose from. Kids loved desserts too, blood orange cheesecake and homemade s'mores. Will definitely go back when warmer out to take advantage of the patio. Great evening at a very reasonable price."

"Based on our one and only experience, I would say the food was very average. The portions were small, which is OK if the food is exceptional. It wasn't. Enjoyed the complimentary toasts and eggplant spread. The bread is delivered table side and you get to select what you want from a variety of breads. My wife had salmon which was small and nothing special. I had a black rice and seafood dish which was tasty, but did not really stand out. The bread pudding for desert was very average.
The service was exceptional. The atmosphere is really quite nice. The wood fireplace is rare in restaurants in these parts. Very nice touch. The lighting was a bit bright in the central area where several booths are. Valet parking was nice."

"My wife and I went here based on a recommendation from friends of ours. We walked into a fantastic looking main dining area with a bar set to the left and live music playing. The appetizers were delilcious but the main courses were terrible. Our steak was badly overcooked and the seafood rissotto like dish was flavorless. The cheesecake dessert was quite good but the Banana bread type dessert was watery and inedible. Finally, it took almost 30 minutes to find our waitress to get the overpriced check. Unfortunately, we will not be returning."
