Our location brings out the best in fresh local seafood, dry aged beef, world-class wines and waterfront views - making The Restaurant at Alderbrook a destination in itself.
The interior setting of The Restaurant at Alderbrook takes its inspiration from the outdoors with warm colors of chocolate brown and sage green representing the gardens and lawn of the resort. Floor-to-ceiling windows and multi-levels amplify views of the brilliant shore and snow-capped peaks of the Olympic Mountains.
The cuisine showcases local seafood harvested from Puget Sound and Hood Canal. After all, our shores are encrusted with oysters, our docks lined with mussels, and our sea teems with salmon.
"We have had two memorable brunches at Alderbrook this year, Easter and Mother's Day. Easter was a wonderful day and the hotel is to be congratulated for making it such a wonderful time for the kids. The egg hunt and decorating made it extra special and the events were enjoyed by all. The buffet was wonderful and the seafood (shrimp, oysters, salmon, mussels) was particularly good. Because of the great time we had on Easter we returned for Mother's Day and we were all glad we did. The food was as good if not better than before and we were delighted to have the same server, Aleiha. She was extremely personable and helpful as before, keeping our drinks topped off and readying our table for the next serving- many thanks!"

"Over the years we have enjoyed quite a few meals at the Alderbrook, where we stay when we visit old friends in the area. This evening was no exception. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, enough that we took a reverent moment to enjoy the visual impact of each dish before digging in. The restauant's setting is incomparable, and we are glad that they work to maintain a menu and service that are worthy of the setting. Our server was attentive, patient, and refreshingly droll. All in all a delightful experience."

"My husband and I went to Alderbrook Resort for our 19th wedding anniversary so we wanted something that was romantic and that served great food. Alderbrook is the perfect place, a perfect view of the Olympic mountains with great food and the service was excellent. A up scale place but dress is very casual and a must to visit. We are planning to rent a cottage at some point. A++++++++ across the board."

"We ate three meals in the restaurant and ate a buffet lunch provided on the lawn at the resort and devoured great snacks at cocktail hour. The food and service was great at each of these sittings."

"Had we been ravenous, we could offer a better review. As it was, we had a late lunch in the lounge earlier and weren't able to try a more robust dinner. It was a fabulous menu, however! The chef must be very inventive and well-versed in cuisines from all over.
We had shrimp and Caesar salads and they were very good. The chicken was warm on the Caesar salad, which I appreciate but do not often get when ordering. My husband thought his shrimp salad was excellent, plenty of food there.
Tables for two are a bit small-ish, but the view is utterly breathtaking as we watched dusk approach over the mountains and water.
Thank you for a delightful meal, served by knowledgeable staff."

"With the high prices we were expecting exceptional food. In our party of 6 no one was overly impressed. One of the greatest disappointments was the beet salad. We felt it was completely misrepresented. It was, in fact, nothing more than a plate of spinach with a very few pieces of beet on top. Crab cakes were however, exceptional."

"Absolutely beautiful scenery here at the Alderbrook (breakfast & dinner). I ordered the duck carbonara of which was very tasty & a pretty good portion size. I happen to order dessert but was unfortunatley too full to finish (Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp). As for the bar, they were pretty busy but they didn't cut short on the alcohol. Very strong drinks & not for the light hearted. Overall, I had a great experience at the Alderbrook & would attend at a later time."

"My husband I loved The Restaurant at Alderbrook. For dinner I started with the coconut black bean soup and had the filet mignon as my main course. Both dishes had amazing flavor and stood out as featuring fresh ingredients. My husband enjoyed his mussels and elk chops. The elk chops were the most tender elk chops he had ever had. The lemon huckleberry tart was good, but not particularly memorable. For brunch we shared the Northwest omelet and blueberry french toast. Once again, each dish had tons of flavor and the freshness of the ingredients really stood out. The service was perfect and the staff were very professional."

"It's a nice restaurant that seems to be balancing the need to be a special occasion & romantic restaurant as well as family friendly. We visited the resort for a romantic getaway, not realizing how kid friendly it has become there over the last few years. We sat next to a table with a kid watching a iPad movie while the family was celebrating a birthday, there was another adult birthday a few tables away, and several families with kids, mostly well behaved. The food was really good, but again, they are balancing that line between special occasion, high-end food, with comfortable, family-friendly food. The wine list is extensive... and expensive. Hardly anything under $40. The staff was really friendly, . All the hostesses where friendly."

"We had the largest lobster I've ever seen in my life! It was cooked to perfection, which is no easy task with lobster. I've been here a couple times, and every time it is amazing."

"As in the past, we had a wonderful peaceful afternoon at Alderbrook Lodge. This was not our first time to eat at the restaurant and once again we were not disappointed. Our server was friendly, and provided just the right amount of guidance and coffee! My husband commented how much he appreciated how she didn't hover over us while we were dining. The seafood cocktail was delicious and we both enjoyed the fish and chips. Thanks Alderbrook for making a belated birthday, anniversary and valentine day perfect!"

"While staying at the resort, we ate at the restaurant several times, and were never disappointed in the food or the service! The breakfast dishes were inventive and so filling that we didn't need lunch. The dinners were delicious, and I will never forget the incredible coconut curry soup!"

"On Hood Canal with a view of the Olympics directly across the water, the Alderbrook Restaurant is in a beautiful location for a lovely evening. The food was just as beautiful, and wonderfully tasty. The service was perfect, and my friend received advice needed for her gluten free diet. I can't wait to return!"

"Enjoyed a romantic dinner one evening and brunch on Sunday morning. Both were very enjoyable. The staff was very attentive, knew the menu well and made excellent recommendations. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious! Don't know that I would take children there, but for adults it's highly recommended."
