"My girlfriend and I really enjoyed the ambiance, food, and service. Oevrall, I would recommend this place to all my friends and plan to go there more often. The seabass was amazing and service was great!"

"We came here for the OC Restaurant week menu. The ambiance is great for an intimate dinner for two. There is a separate bar area that gets a bit more rowdy. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the food comes out with a beautiful presentation. The taste is hit or miss. I've been to Kimera before and the lamb chops were top notch. The hanger steak is just ok and the sea bass was good. I'd definitely recommend it to friends."

"The food was great, the wine flight and the cheese tasting are great values. While everything was fine, the choice of tables was odd. The restaurant was not full by any means and they placed us at the first table by the entrance. The table was for two, with a couch in both sids of the table- interesting, but a little strangely large setting for two."

"Excellent service and presentation. Felt like the taste of the food did not live up to the presentation. Three course meal as a whole was a perfect portion. Music was maybe a little loud but had good selection and was not overbearing. I did enjoy this restaurant a lot and would definitely visit again."

"The newest, least well-known restaurant of the local "Dining as Art" Collection group. The food & service is as good as its more-established siblings. Genteel quiet, & sophisticated (but dark) decor contribute to a romantic mood. No Valentine's Day zoo, for our early dining hour. The ladies were each given the standard red rose. The special 3-course menu for V-Day offered adequate choices except for dessert: a very good, mousse-textured chocolate cake. The cream-free tomato soup and the sea bass entree were standouts. The waiter was attetive to the fact that we had theater tickets, and the check arrived promptly. However, this was easy, since the restaurarant was far emptier than it deserved -victim of its location, or the recession?"

"This place is best described as "hip." The prix-fixe menu at lunch is a good deal for a meal just under $15. Delicious food for reasonable prices (for Irvine). Complimentary valet is a plus. However, this is not the place to go if you want quick service. You need at least an hour for lunch if not longer."

"Given my familiarity with the other restaurants in the same group, I was disappointed with Kimera. My expectations were higher than the experience turned out to be. The food was "okay" but the service was extremely poor. I don't plan to go back in a hurry!"
