"We decided on dining here for Father's Day dinner. Needless to say, the restaurant was busy, the service was a little slow and the food was not as good as usual. The waiter was a bit frazzled but was happy and polite. As I have found on these special days, this is normal for any restaurant so I would not hold it against the service or food. We have had a much better experience on previous visits and will visit again."

"We enjoyed the entire experience. I have a very vibrant unique family some that have dined there and for others it was ne experience but everyone in our party was delighted with the server, food and atmosphere. We were celebrating 4 graduations and everyone felt special."

"We had gone to a play in town and was earlier than expected but it was no problem we were seated right away.
The food was very good and portions just right in fact there was enough for some of us to take home. I had a salad Maggiano's special very good and tasteful. I had the salmon it was done moist and very good. I don't live in the city anymore but it is great to dine at a place that reminds you how great the city was growning up. The prices was what I expected for a great restaurant"

"We enjoyed our time at Maggiano's. The service was very prompt without being overbearing. The food was very tasty, although one of us had to have their food re-heated. The only drawback was with the seafood platter I ordered. There were some broken mussel shell pieces in my dish that I accidentally put in my moutth. Otherwise, the food was good. We would definitely go back there."

"Maggiano's has a terrific location and their great food but their service is never quite as good as the food. Went for lunch on Sunday for 2PM. Perhaps it was because there were many large groups, but our service was poor, including having dishes that were not completely clean brought to the table for our appetizers. Everything took longer than expected including the wait time to get the check. I return to Maggiano's because the food is always tasty and the portions are generous, but this is not the first time service has been an issue. This could be an outstanding venue if the service was improved."

"As career girls from different offices once a month we gather at Maggiano's to discuss how out lives are going - we have grown from 3 people to now 6 sometimes 7 - we meet either at Maggiano's in Philadelphia or Cherry Hill - we have been doing this for over 2 years and each time it's FANTASTIC - the food, the service, the mood and everything is always GREAT - We just love coming there to meet. A better way to say it is, "Maggiano's fits us""

"The ambiance was nice, but not great, actually the restaurant could use a bit of a "touch-up".
The food was very good, but not outstanding. I got the salmon with crab; on the menu it says: the salmon is served with the crab on-top, instead everything: crab, asparagus, sun-dried tomatoes came mixed together in a cream sauce, which personally I thought was a bit thick.
I checked in, told the host I had a reservation with open-table, he said nothing, and then it said I was a no-show for my reservation on open table.
Since then the open table reservation has been rectified, not before the manager called and said he had mixed up my reservation for another day."

"Maggiano's are all over the nation. However the experience present the ambiance of a classic Italian family owned hot spot that is nestled right in the heart of the city. The place was busy because of the time and holiday weekend. I would suggest a bit more privacy for the smaller parties. Group of 20 people room up most the room in the dining hall."

"We were at maggiano's for our daughters graduation dinner with a party of nine. Our server was excellent , the food was amazing the whole night was wonderful. My daughter pick your restruaunt it is one of her favorites, she was extremely happy with her choice and so were all of our family. "The food was amazing, the service was terrible. Don't anger your waitress (ie. don't ask for an explanation on menu items, or ask for a dessert menu and then decided you don't want anything). My friends requested for the restaurant to sing Happy Birthday to me, and then right after had a group of your waiters/waitresses burst out of the banquet room with a cake singing the very song we requested. The explanation that was given to us was the fact that this other person was an employee of Maggianos. Employees rank over customers. Message received."

"I went to Maggiano's for my graduation celebration dinner. My graduation ended early and I called to request that we move our reservation up to an earlier time. The hostess was happy to comply and the restaurant was ready and accommodating when we arrived. The server was excellent. Our family enjoyed family style dining with unlimited portions of appetizers and entrees and that was the best option! It was affordable and everyone knew exactly how much to pay towards the bill. Phenomenal service!"

"One of the worst experiences we've had at a moderately-priced restaurant. I recognize that everyone has "to be new" to a job at somepoint, but not having enough courtesy to even introduce herself and ask if we'd like a drink before taking our order, is inexcusable. You would think that a restaurant like Maggiano's wouldn't hire first time waitresses/waiters, but this appears to be the case.
The service was so poor that it ruined a decent meal for our special occasion - our daughter's college graduation."

"A party of five celebrated a college graduation at this place and it was fantastic. We asked for a quiet table in the corner and that is exactly what we got to celebrate and enjoy. The waiter was attentive to every need we had. The food was delicious, plentiful, and more importantly hot! The parking is limited but we found a side parking lot for 20 dollars and we did not have to worry about tickets or towing. We booked a reservation through open table, they were great confirming 2 days ahead of the date and we ran a little late we called they were great and just made a notation and held the table. A great time had by all and plenty of food to take home! :("

"Our service was horrible! We went to this Maggiano's because the King of Prussia restaurant was booked for the weekend and we were taking our child back to Drexel University after visiting for the weekend. We thought let's go to the Philadelphia Maggiano's since we were heading in that direction. We were able to make a reservation and were seated shortly after arriving, however that's where it went down hill.....Our server did not introduce herself and we sat for about 15 minutes before anyone even poured water. When the server did come over, she took our order, but never offered us anything to drink. We selected the family style and it took almost 1/2 hour before the appetizer portion of the meal came out. As I went to look for the manager"

"Four of my best friends and I had just graduated from the University of Pennsylvania. To celebrate our "Last Supper" before heading our different ways we had a giant dinner with our friends and family - 22 guests total! Everything from making a reservation to sitting to ordering food was perfect. And the food was delicious!! The wait staff was very flexible and understanding with our large group!! "In an attempt to maintain reasonable costs Maggiano's has dramatically decreased the portion size of many of its entrees. For example the eggplant parmigiana that we were served was ludricously small. The staff was incredibly generous in trying to rectify the situation (bringing another portion, offering a replacement entree, even bring a complimentary dessert) and that was greatly appreciated. However we will think twice about returning for fear of being served another entree of shrinking size.
Of note, the pasta entree was still reasonable in amount."

"Due to the location of this restaurant in downtown Philadelphia, use public transportation to get there. The walk won't be more than 2 blocks. When we arrived, we found a very busy restaurant, We were about 15 minutes early, yet, they were ready to seat us. Our server, Dominic immediately came over to our table with ice water. Then, he asked us if were wanted anything to drink other than water. When he returned he took our food order while delivering bread to the table. Our food came out in a timely manner, drinks refilled as needed etc. The food was excellent. The order size was more than enough. Everything was great. We had no room for dessert. 3 of the 4 of us took food home. The price is not cheap and not expensive but worth it."

"Normally it is a great place, never had a problem until Mother'sd Day. OUr food was fantastic but our server forgot we were there. He was awful! I would recommend that place to anyone at any time, I love it there. But this one time was not good. Server didn't even say Happy Mother's Day to my wife!"

"I realize I may spend tons of money at your restaurant. But it is no cause to ignore me and my mom. I made a reaervation online for Mother's Day dinner. "I brought a group of six guys for my brothers bachelor party. I had decided on the family style menu before hand and ordered a good variety of food for us. I hadn't ever eaten at maggiano's before, but had a good expectation due to a recommendation by my uncle. We were not disappointed. The food never stopped coming to our table. "I am soo pleased with Maggianos. My mother, sister and i had an outstanding mothers day celebration.
