"What is not to like about this restaurant. The food was wonderful, the service was even better and upon arriving we were greeted and show immediately to our table. The sommelier was very helpful in our selection of a wine and we were amazed by the dessert.
The only thing that I will say is that the prix fixe menu is a little pricey, and the addition of a nice bottle of wine will cost you."

"My wife and I enjoyed our evening, receiving the food and ambiance that one has come to expect from Masa's. The problem was with the waiter. While he was superficially pleasant, he really did not listen to our needs. After taking our order, he asked whether we had food allergies. We told him yes, to walnuts, and he confirmed that the food was free of them, and that he would also inform the chef. The two of the four dishes arrived with walnuts! He asked us this question, wrote down the answer, and then proceeded to himself deliver food with walnuts. He also asked how we wanted the squab prepared--we said medium, but it arrived medium rare/rare. Although his service was below average, others were excellent."

"We were in San Francisco all last week. We dined at Masa's, Gary Danko, Benu, Atelier Crenn, and Spruce. Masa's was the most perfect and satisfying evening of them all. However, it was the least patronized of them all as well. There were only five tables seated while we were there. We left hoping more people hear about this place and give it the support it richly deserves. We'd hate to see San Francisco lose this gem."
