"I had an amazing Father's Day dinner with my parents and grandparents at Pearl's. The shrimp au grautin was to die for! And the stuffed flounder with sauteed spinach was prepared PERFECTLY! You must try the salmon on the bed of wild rice with asparagus. It's absolutely delicious."

"We always enjoy the relaxed informal atmosphere. Being repeat diners we find the food and service to be consistently very good whether we dine in the bar or the dining room. "Pearl's was recommended to us by the valet manager at our downtown hotel in Savannah. It was a few miles out of town and the food was very good. The chef was willing to make an added accommodation of the menu items (for a reasonable adjustment in price) and that allowed me to have two items that I could not decide which one to have (the charbroiled salmon or the fried scrimp). Both were very good.
We were able to sit at a table by the large windows that provided a view of the water and a particular interesting water fowl situated right outside the window."

"Outstanding local dining experience only a short cab ride away from the Savannah River Walk area. This is a local gem that is off the tourist track where all the locals appear to go. Straddling the banks of the Savannah River, there is a deck area that extends out to water's edege ... which is a great venue for watching a sunset while cradling your favorite adult beverage. After receiving a phone call that two more would be joining us, we were asked to move from our window seating (fire marshall's order) and totally unwilling to listen to any plan to allow us to stay in our choice location. We moved and allowed to stay with our attentive and helpful wait staff. Overall a good meal and good time. Uncompromising management was the only problem for this evening of business/pleasure.

"The atmosphere is nice and the service was outstanding, but the food seems to be kind of stuck in the 90's. If you're hoping to find something innovative, un-fried, not covered with cheese or a cream sauce, you may struggle with the menu- but, hey, it seems to be working for them as there were very few empty tables. That said, everything we ordered seemed to be very fresh, prepared correctly, and met our expectations. It was as good as (or maybe even a little better than) similar restaurants in the area. I would recommend this restaurant to others and am likely to visit again in the future with friends. All in all, a good experience."

"Pearl's Saltwater Grille was a busy place (St. Patrick's Day in Savannah is a really big day!) but the service was excellent, the food was attractively plated and cooked as ordered and was delicious. Their hush puppies are out of this world and they refill as needed. Even though there were a lot of diners, the sound level was relatively quiet. We enjoyed our meal and would recommend Pearl's to anyone."

"Well worth the 15 minute ride from the historic district. Excellent shrimp (Pearl's Pound) and view of marsh was awesome. Service was excellent other than a long wait for our meal due to a large party of 30 which had placed order just prior to our order. However, the almost two pounds of shrimp that I was served negated the wait for our foods....plus the management apologized for the wait profusely. Pearl' Saltwater Grill is on our 'A' list when we return to Savannah."

"My wife and I enjoy going to locally owned and operated (aka "mom and pop") restaurants when we're at home and so we figured we'd try a restaurant favored by locals on our recent vacation to Savannah. Pearls Saltwater Grill met our high expectations. Our appetizer (fried-green tomatoes and Cajun-spiced shrimp) and our two meals (crab-stuffed lobster tails and pecan crusted rainbow trout) were well-prepared and the service was excellent. We found the wine selections to be decent and were pleasantly surprised by how good our bottle of New Zealand chardonnay was. Although the atmosphere inside the restaurant was not what I'd consider romantic, the restaurant sits on the bank of the Savannah river and offers a lovely view."
