"We ordered 5 dishes for 6 people and asked to have it presented family style. We all loved all the dishes. We had penne with vodka sauce, veal parmesan and chicken parm, veal saltimbocca and a lemon shrimp dish. We also had stuffed mushrooms and bruschetta for appetizers which were delicious and a house salad--also very good. Portions are large and we could have had 4 main course dishes and had plenty to eat. The service was also very good."

"The best eggplant salat I have ever had. Be prepared to share as portions are huge. NO pizza which is fine. The staff is very attentive. The way some of the people dress there is worth the trip. The clear plastic was drawn out side as it was cool and windy. We sat inside and had a great glass of Cabernet (house). Total bill was a bit pricey but we had a great time. Then the wife checked out the LuLu Lemon shop accross the street and more eye candy."

"We had a very large group for mothers day and the bus boys made sure everyone was well taken care of the entire time. The hostess was also kind enough to accommodate us for a garden table which was requested - but not guaranteed. She went out of her was to make sure we were in the area we wanted to be when we arrived. The food was fantastic and they made sure the food was always fresh and available."

"Had a great time. Had 2 bottles of 2009 Ramey Cab to get things started. Our server Danny was not only on point but hilarious too. We ordered as he called off the menu food, square noodles in Viska sauce sprinkled heavily with sausage. Tremendous. Some other food we ordered was the skirt steak, and linguini with clams. All in all a great time, great scenery and a great vibe. See you Next time Chi-Town!"

"Had a great time at Carmine's this past weekend! The food was delicious and the service was wonderful! The scene is warm and cozy,but definitely very energetic and actually pretty loud, especially with the piano player by the bar. The staff was great and very accomodating - we had a 2 month old baby with us, but they were able to put us in the quieter garden room - it was perfect. As for the food - the spicy calamari was so tasty! And the brick chicken was so moist and flavorful. We will definitely be returning!"

"Food is reliably very good. Sat upstairs on a weeknight at 7:30 and there was barely anyone there. Service was very good and everybody liked their meal. Was nice that we could sit and talk without having to strain to hear over a large crowd."

"This is our 4th time going to Carmines, each time bringing different people with us to experience it. We love it. The food has always been wonderful, and the service is always great. I wish I could recall our waiters name this last time, but it's been about a week. He was so friendly and so knowledgable. My husband always gets the skirt steak(soooo good!) and I got the Tortellin Carbonara, it was voted the best dish at our table :) It's a very nice and comfortable atmosphere. I definitely recommend enjoying dinner here!"

"We had a group of 6 guests, every one of our guests reported the best food ever, portions were more than expected and talked about it for days.
Note; they spotted Gary Sinese during their visit.

"I live in the immediate vicinity of Carmines. I have always thoroughly enjoyed my experiences there. However, on this occasion my wife, a guest and I suffered through a "seating dilemma".
Although not particularly busy the hostess initially escorted us to a table adjacent to the kitchen door. When we told her that wasn't what we had in mind, she hesitated and then brought us to the outside cafe area. This appeared to be better, so we seated ourselves. There was a wood room divider next to our table, which initially blocked our view of the busing station located behind it. During the course of the meal, it seemed liked that the staff was tossing plates and silverware. I stopped myself from asking if they could possibly be any loude"

"first time at Carmine's - went on recommendation when we received a gift-card to Rosebuds' Restaurants. Expected to be "out-priced" but was proved wrong. SO much food, and such great presentation along with quality. My husband had pork-chops, and, boy, was he impressed- huge! Deserts are not be passed-by."

"We are parents to a toddler and had a much-deserved date night. We both have had a variety of high-end to low-end dining experiences fr the US to Europe. Carmine's was excellent in service, ambience, and food quality and variety. Loved the appetizer (grilled Octopus, shrimp and calamari). Our entrees were also excellent! We will definitely go back."

"We have been there several times in the past and this was by far the best. The front host staff was awesome and accomodating of my special requests for my g/f's birthday. Food was outstanding, although we both had the Brick Chicken and felt it was very heavy on the salt content. Even still it was great. Server was excellent (Hugo).

"Went for Easter Brunch, since we have been many times for dinner....It was terribly disorganized !! We had reservations for 6 and were crammed in a small table for 4 and had to walk from 2nd floor to lower level to get food...Stairway was crowded with wait staff and guests...way too far too walk for a buffet. Buffet itself was totally disorganized...people were criscrossing all over the place....waited for refills on several dishes... Carved beef was well-done and chewy, food warm not hot...pasteries dried up and tasted old (except for delicious cheese cake) Very disappointed, as I said, we have always enjoyed the food and service."
