"I was disappointed in the recommended "light" Pinot Noir wine - too acidic. No, I did not complain about it - too busy talking to a friend. The special noodle-chichen dish with a non-creamy sauce mixed with a few vegetables was very nice. The beer-cheese soup was just okay."

"Service was not very good. The waitress either was too busy or not organized. After an initial wine taste, she took the bottle and forgot to fill my glass. We asked for refills and had to leave before she came back. I had told her we needed to leave at 7:20 to make and 8:00 p.m. performance at Kauffman. I don't think that made any difference. This is the first poor service we have had. However, she did give good information and description regarding the menu items."

"My wife and I took my parents there for Brunch last Sunday, it was great. I had never been before, but loved the setup with an appetizer bar for brunch that you could have as well as the entree you ordered. I had something new on the menu with over easy eggs and baked torillas in red sauce, it was amazing. Definitely be back!"

"We went to Sunday Brunch and loved it. Took the grandkids who loved the food. It was our first time on Sunday and we couldn't have had a better time. One of us had the special Short Rib Benedict and everyone loved including the kids. They said they were going to make it a regular entree. We will be back again but this time we will bring the parents along. Great place for the whole family."

"For the life of me I don't know why cooks in Kansas City are unable to cook a steak rare. Told the waitress my $33 steak was over cooked, mid rare bordering on medium and she smiled and said dessert is on me. Well I didn't want dessert I was hoping for a steak cooked properly. My other half enjoyed her Sea Bass so maybe she will go back, I won't for $33 pot roast."

"We arrived and were immediately sited. Generally the waiters bring water and bread to the table quickly but we had to wait(15 minutes), but after that everything went smoothly. We had Matt who confessed that this was his first night. He did a very good job. My wife had the grilled salmon which she said was excellent and I had the seafood Linguini. My wife frequently has the grilled bass which she knows to be excellent, but she wanted to try something different. Generally I am a little concerned about seafood dishes, but mine was excellent and the shrimp were fine. I think we both would have the same dishes again. However, I had to bring about half of it home to enjoy another day."

"We usually love this place. while my husband loved his crab legs, my supposedly medium-cooked veal should never be dry or the least bit chewy, but unfortunately it was, as well as the broccolini. Not such a "special" Valentine dinner."

"We had reservations for 6:30 and I was surprised at how busy the place was that early. We were seated promptly and felt fortunate to be toward the back area which was quieter. Lovely presentation and tasty meal -- consistent as usual. One of my favorite places to dine."

"Good food, ok service. We were seated in a high-traffic zone, so it affected what we thought about the whole experience. Would come back for the food, but would like to sit in a booth or in the back where it is more quiet and fewer people walking around."

"As always, the Grand Street was very good. The wine list could use some expansion but the overall quality and price of the food and wine selections is outstanding. We each had something different and there was something special in each entree including the Prime Pork Chop, the Bill's Salad (always a favorite), the Roast Beef Stack sandwich and a Lasagna special that was running that night that was full of meat, cheese and flavor. We will definitely be back."

"I always love coming to grand street. Our waitress was great, she was young and energized, we talked a lot about her biology major and my husband even gave her his card to get in touch after she graduates. The food was terrific as always and the remodeling looks perfect!"
