"We were on a tight schedule and wanted a good meal. Menu choices were good and location was great. Early reservation gave us quick food and much attention by the staff. We had the chef's special and it was great. It is street level with a good view of 14th. Slightly misleading by the name and photos on the web page."

Review 2 for Altitude Restaurant - Hyatt Regency Denver
"My family had brunch for Mother's Day, the food was average at best and the dining room is extremely noisy. The price was completely ridiculous, $200 for 4 people and none of us ordered drinks. I will never make this same mistake twice."

Review 3 for Altitude Restaurant - Hyatt Regency Denver
"The made-to-order omelettes, prime rib and salmon were wonderful, however the price was much too high for a brunch. $125 for just the food for 3, plus mimosas on "special" for $8 each adds up to over $300 with a 15% gratuity. Next time I'll ask about the price. We've eaten there pre-theatre before and don't recall it being nearly as spendy. The "ambience" was not worth near the price this time."

Review 4 for Altitude Restaurant - Hyatt Regency Denver
"To start off my wife and I were late about 10 minutes for our reservation and totally accept responsibility for that. On the other hand, what I was not ready for was poor service. We were seated at our table nicely but did not see our waiter for 10 mins. So that instantly put us in a certain type of shock. Finally the waiter arrived didn't greet us but simply said good morning are you ready to order? Well of course we are we've been here for 10 mins without anyone stopping to check. Service was terrible and ruined the dining experience. He forget multiple requests and had to ask more than 3 times before he made it a priority.
Next celebration of any kind will be spent elsewhere as I cant justify the money from the service."

Review 5 for Altitude Restaurant - Hyatt Regency Denver
"Are reservation was at 7 pm, the restaurant only had 2 other customers. It's not a fancy Dinner place people were in jeans and had there kids with them. Food was good, the lamb fell off the bone and was delicious. Wine was moderate. Wait staff was very attentive. Overall it was a good experience."

Review 6 for Altitude Restaurant - Hyatt Regency Denver
"Three Stars, but on the lower end of that grouping. The risotto appetizer was well prepared and the Cobb Salad is a good choice, but would prefer options to chicken. The lamb was a large portion, and done well. There is limited selections with the menu, so do check the menu to make sure there is something that everyone will like."

Review 7 for Altitude Restaurant - Hyatt Regency Denver
"Enjoyed our evening at Altitude. Our server was very pleasant and took care of us very well. Dishes were interestingly prepared but there could be a little more variety in the offerings. We were sort of captive at the hotel due to a snowy, messy night and didn't quite find what fit us that night on the menu. What we chose was fine but expected more options in a hotel restaurant."

Review 10 for Altitude Restaurant - Hyatt Regency Denver
"We had an overall good experience, most notably because the food was quite nice. Service was a bit slow - our server was as attentive as he could have been, but they seemed understaffed and running the folks they had on that evening a bit ragged. Food took a while to come out, but was delicious! Well appointed restaurant and nicer than your average hotel restaurant. I loved that they had a special menu for Healthy Options offering both smaller portions of their regular mains with healthy sides, as well as a "create your own" menu with ample selection. We missed out on dessert - will just have to come back!"

Review 11 for Altitude Restaurant - Hyatt Regency Denver
"My husband and I went there for Easter Brunch. You would think that if you are paying $100 per couple that there would be an assortment of food choices. I could name all 8 things offered. You would assume there would be pancakes or french toast at brunch, but there wasn't! There were triangles of waffles at the omelette station that were the same quality as your local grocers frozen waffles. We enjoy holidays and special brunches, but don't waste your money here. Go to Brown Palace or to Inverness and feel like you are getting your money's worth because you won't at the Altitude Brunch Buffet.
I can't even tell you how disappointed my husband and I were. We thought there was another room, but there wasn't. Ruined our Easter."

Review 13 for Altitude Restaurant - Hyatt Regency Denver
"There was a prime rib buffet the night we dined (I guess every Friday and Saturday night). There was a great selection and the price was very reasonable. My two children ages 9 and 10 loved it an definitely got their fill for only $15. We would come back."

Review 14 for Altitude Restaurant - Hyatt Regency Denver
"As a first-time visitor to Denver and to the downtown it was a terrific surprise to find Altitude directly across from the Convention Center. The salad and other choices on the lunch buffet were nothing short of wonderful and I had terrific service.
One suggestion - reduce the amount of oil on the grilled vegetables - some were so saturated they were unappetizing.
My waiter was terrific - I went to the manager to let him know that his employee really added to the positive experience."

Review 15 for Altitude Restaurant - Hyatt Regency Denver
"Altitude offered a good 5280 menu, plus their regular menu and buffet, at . Fun being same price srructure. Excellent service throughout our experience. We did book a room at the Hyatt Regency, so we enjoyed Peaks, for late drinks, and the breakfast buffet, the next morning. Fun being downtown."

"We went for 5280 and found out they offer a prime rib buffet on Friday and Saturday nights. It was a great buffet, what the miss in quantity they make up for in quality. We had a great time and will definitely be going back."

Review 18 for Altitude Restaurant - Hyatt Regency Denver
"went there with a friend for 5280 and everything was so nice. We were able to have a wonderful dinner and converation. We said it is a place we would go back to again. It is cetainly a huge restaurant but we got set in a booth which I requested and it was very comfortable and quiet which is one thing we like when going out to eat so we can visit. Food was excellant and the service was perfect."

Review 20 for Altitude Restaurant - Hyatt Regency Denver
"I wasn't real impressed with Altitude. The service was quite slow - we had to ask for our drinks to an employee who happened to be walking by. While the food was good, I don't know that it was good or inventive enough for the prices charged. It was a typical hotel restaurant, and based on other reviews on various sites I had anticipated something slightly more. It is conveniently located next the DCPA, so it may be a good stop prior to going to a show."

Review 21 for Altitude Restaurant - Hyatt Regency Denver
"The dining room is no more than a fancy coffee shop. Even though the web site shows a view of downtown Denver, the picture is taken from the lounge on the 27th floor, not the restaurant which is on the first floor."

Review 22 for Altitude Restaurant - Hyatt Regency Denver
"There was not a great menu selection, so we opted for the buffet. The prime rib was delicious and the desserts tasty, but the rest was uninspiring. The other buffet items were lukewarm, and there were no choices for sides.
Because of the buffet, this would be a great restaurant for those in a hurry to get to the theatre."

Review 24 for Altitude Restaurant - Hyatt Regency Denver
"Service at our meal was excellent: attentive, friendly, efficient, not too intrusive. The food was as good as it gets. We had New York Steak and there was no problem with a request to replace potatoes with vegetables. We had to leave to get to the Symphony. After the Symphony, because of our earlier experience, we returned for coffee and dessert. This was when we experienced our slight disappointment: the coffee was lukewarm and very weak (totally unlike coffee with dinner), and the service was not as prompt or friendly as before. The dessert, however, a cobbler, was superb."
