"I recently took my Mom to Black and Blue Steakhouse for Mother's Day as we were staying at Valley View. We have been before and enjoyed it, but it was even better than when we ate there before. I would highly recommend it."

"Surf & Turf while pricey is an excellent overall deal and playing the card game for the meal is really fun! Our 70. meal we got for 20.!! The king crab dinner was less compelling, no sides, no soup or salad & somewhat small / thin legs compared to other places where we have them where they are fat & fabulous. At 65. a plate, they were a 7.5 - 8 out of 10. My favorite of the night was the apple pie & ice cream with this delicious caramel honey that was fun to eat and I wanted more! We also enjoyed the filet, the green beans & the buttery mashed potatoes that came with the surf & turf. Also the banana bread dessert was yummy but not as much as the apple pie one! It was a great experience. The service was very good by all."

"My family has come back several times for special occasion dinner because the food is great. Even though it appears pricy, the portions are generous and so good we are happy to take leftovers home for another great meal. The prime rib was the best I have ever had and our vegetarian diner loved her roasted vegetable rigatoni. The fresh baked breads are worth the trip alone. The only downside to the experience is having to walk through the smoking part of the Valley View casino to get to the restaurant."

"Me and my wife came here to celebrate her first Mother's day and my 39th Birthday. We enjoyed our self's immensly. We had a great dining experience with super food, presentation, and service. Whenever we had a question it was answered right away by the knowledgable staff. Our waiter took good care of us and had our dishes at our table in a proper and quick manner. He had everything planned out and kept us informed. The whole staff there took care of us like we were their family and we enjoyed ourselves immensly. Thank You for a very unforgetable evening."

"If you haven't been there the menu is small,varied and expensive. After a few visits there is nothing else to try and nothing so outstanding that you want to try it again. They have in the past changed their menu every 6 months. We were pleased with the dinig experience but until the menu changes we will not return."

"Often times when we visit a restaurant it doesn't live up to expectations based on the reviews. This was not the case with Black and Blue. Food was excellent: appetizer, entrees and dessert, good wine and cocktails too. Ambiance was ok, a bit noisy, however food more than made up for this. Wish we would have tried it sooner, did not know what we had been missing. Will definitely be back!"

"The steaks I ordered was not cooked as requested. I ordered medium rare; it came out medium well. The server was nice. She took back my steak and replaced it with a new one. She also gave a complimentary desert for the mishap. Overall dining was good. The steak was a bit chewy though and a bit dry."

"We dined on Valentines' day and I understand it was a very busy night, but our service was extremely slow. We ordered two filet mignons, one medium and the other medium-well. When our food finally came out, the steak prepared medium was very good and cooked what I would consider medium. The other steak which was ordered medium well was extremely overcooked. There was no pink at all and it was very tough and the outside slightly burned. Considering we had waited so long already to get our food, I was inclined to ask the waitress for a different steak, but rather just decided that I did not want to wait another hour for another steak or put a damper on our special evening. I left half the steak uneaten and decided I would just not return"
