"Modern, chic, excellent tasty portions and amazing service. Aside from the fact this old beautiful building is preserved perfectly, Rose water is such a great dining experience. The perfect place for a date. I find that the waitresses’ goal is make sure our evening was great – well at least our waitress’! The tenderloin was perfect and my date enjoyed the rack of lamb. Everything came timely and never too long. Drinks came 5 minutes after we ordered and our waitress was super nice and attentive. I’m not much of dessert person but my date did enjoy the Belgian chocolate molten cake.
This place is stunning, CHECK OUT THE WATERFALL, definitely an exquisite dining experience. Totally recommend Rosewater and I’m totally going back."

"attentive friendly service. a mediocre app of foie gras which resembled turkey giblets . presentation of our mains was as expected. My wife's surf and turf had a perfectly cooked sirloin sadly offset with a tepid tasteless piece of lobster. Asparagus and carrots were perfectly done My Quebec duck breast was a colourless chewy almost cold diasppointment accompanied by a puck of roesti which was barely crisp on the outside and had the consistency and colour of window putty on the inside. Creme Bruele was perfect in taste and texture, however the rasberry and strawberry and blackberry look like they had been sitting under warming lamps for 2 hours. This is not the Rosewater that we remembered from a few years back"

"I go to Rosewater on a regular basis and I have always been very impressed with the food and service. I recently took my husband for his birthday and once again, we were blown away by the restaurant. The staff was so friendly especially Andrew, the General Manager! The food was delicious and you can never go wrong with the wine selection. If you have not tried Rosewater yet, it is a MUST!"

"Took my colleague here for drinks on Thursday night. It was great! We heard that Rosewater was a good spot for drinks after work and everyone was right! We sat at the bar, which was really energetic - but the staff's attitude never let on that they were really busy. Everyone was really friendly and welcoming. I had a beer and the tiger prawns and they were delicious, perfect for a snack at the bar. My colleague had chicken wings and raved about how good they were. We both really enjoyed ourselves and we will be back with more friends and colleagues!"

"I took my best friend to Rosewater last night for her birthday and it was amazing! It was the perfect spot to have a special night out and we both really enjoyed everything from the moment we walked in. The wine was great (wonderful selection) and everyone was just so nice to us. The manager even came over to ask how the meal was and to wish my friend a happy birthday! I tried the spiced tuna and salmon tartare and it was so yummy! Ive never had anything like that before and it was just amazing. I'm so glad i brought my friend here and she was so happy with the experience! Thanks Rosewater!"

"My Wife and I had a wonderful time at Rosewater! From the moment we walked in the door, we felt welcomed and the staff was so friendly! There was a wonderful wine selection and my Beef Tournado was delicious and I even stole a bite of my wife's Cornish Hen and I could have eaten the whole thing! We finished off the meal with the sorbet trio dessert and it was a perfect way to finish off our experience. I will be returning as soon as possible and I think I may even bring my work friends for cocktails on Thursday! Great job Rosewater!"

"The food is mediocre and expensive. My salmon was cooked too well. These days most places undercook it. The beet risotto was tasteless. The dessert menu was uninventive and we didn't try any. My appetizer was a salad and it was fine but too big.For a place this expensive I expect a fabulous meal.

"A romantic dinner for the lady's birthday... We very impressed and equally satisfied. The lobby was filled with an energetic, classy crowd, but the dining area was very neat and about 75% of the tables were filled. The crowd at the bar as noisy, but from where we sat it was a nice buzz and not at all a nuisance. The food was delicious and the selection of drinks was impressive. The lady was honored with a special birthday treat and a friendly visit from the manager. I recommend this restaurant for any well to do diners or for a special occasion."

"My husband and I went to Rosewater for a night out and we could not be more pleased with our experience! It was our first time spending an evening at this restaurant and from the moment we walked in, we were instantly impressed. The decor was stunning and the overall atmosphere of the venue was so welcoming. The staff was friendly and extremely inviting. After enjoying a wonderful glass of wine (recommended by our server) my husband and I ordered our dinners. I really enjoyed the Seared Atlantic Salmon and my husband raved about his "perfectly done" Rack of Lamb. While finishing up our dessert we were visited by the manager who wanted to ensure we enjoyed our meals and had a great night! Overall, our evening was simply perfect!"

"The atmosphere was wonderful - beautiful decor and an intimate romantic setting that is great for couples. The food on the other hand - that could use some improvement. I had the steak and my partner had the salmon. The salmon was not bad - slightly dry and the risotto was bland but ok. The disappointment came with the steak, the most expensive dish on the menu. I asked for my steak to be cooked medium and it came to the table medium well and by the time I was finished, it was almost well done and tough. The vegetables were not steamed long enough and were still quite crunchy, and the potatoes were bland and I found the cheese added no value to the dish. My partner also ordered the Rosewater Punch which was flat and had no flavour."

"Liked it more then I thought I would. Love the room on the 2nd floor with windows over looking the resto. Great for group lunch/dinner. I went during Winterlicous and on a regular day and think the service is about the same. But on Winterlicous they were a bit hurried. Understandable though. Food is good. Definitely recommend.

"To be honest, this restaurant is not that good as reviews. The service is good and you got a fancy ambiance. However, the food is way more worse than my expectation. They don't have a lot of selections on their menu and they only have one soup- onion soup on their menu. The soup is not tasty at all and u feel like u are eating a 1000 cals fast food. Totally disappointed. Average $70+ per person."

"We had the chicken taggliatelli. The artichokes were pickled and over-powered the dish. I expected fresher ingredients and better flavour overall. The bread was stale. I expected a better quality of food overall. There was nothing special about the meal. The service was good and I loved the location.

"Fourth time to Rosewater over the years. Previously dined here a year prior. While the food and quality is good, it seems to be falling behind current trends. The menu (whether revised or not) seems like it has not been refreshed in awhile. The restaurant was not full for a Friday evening nor was the bar busy at all. Service is professional but the excitement of dining at Rosewater has fallen by the wayside. Would love to return again but something definitely has to change in order for the restaurant to avoid becoming a forgotten memory."

"Me and my wife went up to Toronto for the weekend and decided to give Rosewater a try. Let me just say it was an excellent decision! The ambiance and atmosphere was really cool and it set the tone for a nice romantic dinner. They had a pretty decent wine list and the food was just excellent. The service was also above and beyond as well. When we were finished eating the hostess offered to call us a taxi, she let us have a drink at the bar and said to just give her signal and she will call the cab for us. Sure enough as soon as we were done with our drink, the taxi was outside waiting. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and we will be eating here again when we return to Toronto."

"My husband & I were in Toronto to celebrate Valentines weekend, and we wanted a nice spot to dine before the evening performance of the Wizard of Oz. We were seated in a lovely booth on the main floor. The building is beautiful, adding to the ambience of a romantic setting. Our server couldn't have been better! She recommended a wonderful wine, was very helpful with our food choices, and was a delight to visit with. Our dinners were presented beautifully, and were absolutely delicious! I wish we lived closer so we could visit this wonderful spot more often!"
