Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House proudly opened to critical acclaim in south Charlotte in May of 2007. We are the eighth location of our legendary concept founded in 1989 and honored nationwide for exceptional cuisine and gracious hospitality. We feature USDA prime beef, fresh seafood, and incredible cold water lobster tails. Our breads, salad dressings, sauces and desserts are all made from scratch daily from traditional recipes. "Made reservations for a family of 6. 3 adults and 3 kids for Father's Day. They were able to create kid friendly options for our 8, 10, & 13 year old. The lamb was superb and so was the crab cake & lobster Mac. I will definitely return! The art art work and staircase was simple yet elegant. I enjoyed the location too!!! Only down side is it took them about 5 mins to seat our party even with a reservation and the waiter was slow to poor our wine and didn't open up our napkins as most places of this rating would."

"Del Frisco's is a must do, when we travel from Charlotte to the Dominican Republic, 5-7 x/year. We drive from Greensboro to a lodging in Charlotte, then on to Del Frisco;s for dinner the night before travle. Our favorite restaurant in the Charlotte area. Food and service are outstanbding as is the ambience. Have recommended it to others who have had simnilar experiences there."

"To start off, the hostesses weren't particularly friendly, so that wasn't a great first impression.
Our server was attentive and polite, so that made up for it somewhat. We tried the onion rings for an appetizer (yum!) and then each had the "Prix Fix" menu, which was pretty affordable compared to ordering off the regular menu. Salads were good and very fresh, steaks were delicious and cooked perfectly,and for the sides - mashed potatoes were great (a tiny bit spicy, so that was interesting), mushrooms were boring. We had the chocolate lava cake for dessert, and it was OK, but nothing really special. Regretted not ordering the lemon cake after I saw a mammoth slice of it pass by! Nice place for special occasions. Pricey, no surprise there."

"Del Frisco's is Perfectly Amazing in every way, service, food, decor, outdoor patio all great. We had some of the best filet mignons we have ever had and the scallops and crab cakes are out of this world too. The sides are fantastic tasting and the service was perfect. The desserts are also incredible if you have any room. The 7 layer Lemon cake is a must!!! Also one of my favorite salads at any restaurant worldwide (the Del Salad), two crispy strips of bacon on top of a mixed green salad with delicious Avocado dressing!!"

"Wonderful find - was looking for an upscale steak for a 24th wedding anniversary. Read reviews from Zagat and Urbanspoon and the reviews on Del Frisco's were significantly higher than those for Ruth's Chris or Morton's. We were not disappointed - the service was exceptional from the beginning, when both the hostess and the waiter congratulated us on our anniversary and presented us with a card signed by multiple members of the restaurant staff. Wine list was impressive (although my wife and I do not drink). Excellent shrimp cocktail, my wife's fillet was melt-in-your-mouth, and the strip I had was excellent. Sides were wonderful too, as was the fresh-baked bread. Dessert was a lava cake with ice cream on the side, gratis."

"The steaks were quite good but teh rest seemed just above average. My Ling Island Iced Tea was outstanding as was the wine selection. The service really left a lot to be desired as we were an early reservation at 5:45 but still didn;t get out of there until near 9pm - seemed to take 30-45 minutes for everything including the check - which for the service and overall experience was very disproportionate."

"We wouldn't go here weekly or monthly, but to celebrate our son's graduation with out-of town family members, it was perfect. The service was fantastic, and our family proclaimed these the "best steaks they had ever eaten."

"Due to the Pre-Fixe menu, it appeared as though our patronage was not as important as other guests!
The famous wedge salad was more blue cheese dressing than lettuce. And the main course took an eternity to arrive. On top of the late arrival, one of the Filets was not cooked to order. At these prices, there is no room for a slow kitchen or incidental errors!
We have dined at Del Friscos in NYC many times, and they never miss a beat! This experience was at best a disappointment!
In these economic times, When a meal costs in excess of $225 for a Thursday night, it should be nothing less than 5 stars!!!"
The famous wedge salad was more blue cheese dressing than lettuce. And the main course took an eternity to arrive. On top of the late arrival, one of the Filets was not cooked to order. At these prices, there is no room for a slow kitchen or incidental errors!

"Service was awesome(Bobby was our waiter). Steak was too perfection, baked potato wasn't, very flat taste to it. Dress is suggested business casual, seen blue jeans, and others not properly dressed, looked like people you'd see in fast food place running in for a bite to go. This is my biggest complaint. Dress code should be enforced, regardless if they lose business or not. Who wants to go out for dinner and pay upward of $150.00 to $200.00 and share the place with slobs."

"We normally go to Del Frisco's for dinner and are always happy with the food and service, however we were all a bit disappointed with the 2013 Mothers Day Brunch. It was pretty obvious that they weren't prepared for the day even with the Prix Fix Menu which should made things easier. Food was slow to come out and not what I typically expect from Del Frisco's in terms of flavor/taste. We noticed several tables around us have food come out in partial orders or just plain cold. While I haven't given up on them for dinner I don't believe we will be attending their Mother's Day Brunch again."

"Hard to not love this place. Top shelf food, service and a beautiful space. The bar scene even hops on certain nights. One of the best wine lists in town if you bring your cash. The location is a smaller version of their Manhattan masterpiece. Del's salad is off the chart (how can it not be with 2 slices of bacon on top), crab lump in a martini glass appetizers along with shrimp with different sauces were amazing, bone in filet was spectacular and a variety of shared sides like sweet potatoes, and veggies made the meal a night to be remembered. I will be back."

"We decided to take out daughter and son in law out for a special dinner to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. They chose Del Frisco's. The food and service were both excellent. Just the right amount of attentiveness without hovering. There was never a need to search out a waiter. They seemed to sense just when you needed something. Everyone ordered steak, which is a favorite for all in attendance and we all thought it was fabulous. HOWEVER, the noise level was incredible. We had to practically yell at each other in order to be heard. The bar was full of people having a great time, but the noise level was way more than we expected to encounter in a restaurant of this caliber. We will probably not return for that very reason."

"The initial service was very good with the exception of server coming back twice and stating they were out of two of our selections. After the main meal was served, i ordered coffee to have with the desserts, however, this is when a major disconnect occurred. We sat for 30 minutes waitingon cheesecake and chocolate mousse. several servers passed us numerous times and saw that there was nothing on our table and no one even asked us about our desserts--all the other tables in our area cleared out and then the servers became busy changing tablecloths on these tables--still no one said a word to us--finally about 15 more minutes went by, now into 45 minutes of waiting and i got attention of one of the servers and explained."

"Wife and I live 30 miles away and only go to Del Frisco's occasionally but enjoy it every time. We make a special point of going on our anniversary every year. The food is always outstanding and the staff is always personable and knowledgeable. The steaks are cooked perfect and the asparagus is unlike anywhere else. The calamari appetizer has a little "kick" which is welcome to us! Ending a meal there with the lemon cake is always perfect, but save room and share because it is huge!"

"Wonderful, as usual...one of our favorites. Zack, our server, was great. Food arrived at just the right times, cooked just right and was delicious from the oysters to the deserts. We were well taken care of and felt no pressure to hurry. We sat upstairs this time and enjoyed that also. Can't wait to go back."

"Disappointing trip to del friscos. Probably my 10th time at DF and the first nine were great. The steak I was served was as thin as something I would have been served at long horns. Much thinner than the steaks I was served in my previous trips and I highly dought it was the ounces advertised on the menu. Not what I would expect from DF. I will be back because when they are on their game, they serve the best steak in charlotte."

However, the over-relaxation of dress requirements resulting in customers wearing sleeveless t-shirts, torn blue jeans with holes, rally format baseball caps, etc. results in an uncomfortable atmosphere when dining in the evening at a high-end restaurant. This was a dress code expected at a Ryan's Steakhouse, not Del Frisco's.
Although casual is expected, minimum standards, such as "collared shirts", etc. should be established and enforced for the benefit of other customers."
