"We had our anniversary dinner, just the two of us. Was very impressed with fresh fish selection--Wahoo, grouper and Tuna--but the Gem was Triggerrfish. Don't see that on any menus locally and only sparcely on the coast--Excellently prepared--panseared with lumps of crabmeat on top--So moist and absolutely tasty!!! The service was awesome and our menus had happy anniversary on them!! The sides were great, esp the gold Yukon mashed potatoes. Spinach salad was fresh and had eggs--very impressed. We were treated to a complimentary baked Alaska prepared at the table and featured strawberry ice cream.
Definitely on our return list."

"We felt very hurried by the two waiters, even though the restaurant was not full, and we were there early in the evening, on a weekday... Don't go there if you want a peaceful or romantic dinner. You will be constantly interrupted, not only by the two waiters, but also by the two managers..."

"There's nothing more panicky than being out of town (unfamiliar surroundings) and trying to provide a great meal/experience for your clients. Oceanaire in Dallas is very good, so was hoping the same in Orlando; fortunately it was. It was my client's birthday and the staff quickly created a custom menu and served us a huge piece of Baked Alaska that we all shared -- so nice! Service was impeccable and the food was to die for. I had a seafood-foodie crowd, so for them to say it was wonderful was amazing."

"Every time I've been at one of the Oceanaire restaurants the food has been great.This time everything was good with the exception of my daughters entree. She had the barracuda entree and it was not very good but the seafood salad she had was awesome. All in all the dining experience was great. We'd go back again."

"While the waiter was friendly and energetic, the service was just "OK".
The seafood was good, with lots of fresh varieties.
The steaks were disappointing $40 - $50 for "CHOICE" Cuts of meat is unacceptable!

They set it whilst we were at it, didn't add the side plates.
Took drinks order, we ordered sodas - went to take wine glasses away - had to stop them because we were having wine with the Entree's.
Ordered and starters took forever, wine arrived even though I'd asked for it to be served with the Entrees. Calamari was slightly overdone my wife's salad was good. Entrees arrived as we were eating the starters!
Entrees were good - excellent steak, and good fish.
A manager came, asked about meal - he removed the calamari from bill - apologised.
Dessert took longer to arrive than starters - another disaster on serving as well!
Overpriced - not a good dining experience :-("

"Waaaaaaay overpriced. Felt like the staff was hired from Denny's where staff doesn't care to properly greet or pay attention to the customers who are about to drop a bunch of Benjamin's for a dinner. They should be falling over each other with politeness and courtesy. Nonetheless food is good. But only go waste ur money if ur craving a certain menu item."

"Came here for a pre-birthday celebration. Wasn't disappointed. Service was outstanding. Server was attentive and knowledgeable. Food was excellent. We had the swordfish, the halibut cheeks and the salmon. Everyone was very happy. Caprese and wedge salads complemented our dinners. Drinks were well prepared. Dessert (chocolate cake) was shared. In all, Oceanaire is a good choice for fine dining."

"The Oceanaire Seafood Room has become our favorite restaurant for special occasions. From the moment you arrive until you leave you are treated as a honored guest. Their food is excellent!! Everything I have ordered has been wonderful, steak, shrimp and lobster. Steaks are prepared exactly as ordered and the seafood is always fresh and cooked properly. Believe your server when they tell you the sides are shareable, as they definitely are. The hardest part is saving room for dessert, but you need to do so at least once. The portions are large enough to share, but you probably will not want to! They prepare all their desserts in house to ensure the best quality and fresh ingredients. You can't go wrong visiting the Oceanaire."

"My wife and I have dined at the Oceanaire on numerous occasions and always had an excellent experience,both for the quality of the food and the staff. We had not been back in the past 3 years, so this time was special, also because it was our 20th Anniversary. It was disappointing to see what had become of the restaurant since Landry's took over. The shrimp was mediocre, I think Red Lobster makes better shrimp. The appetizers were so so. My soup was cold and was more bisque than crab. The main course surf and turf was half and half, steak was excellent, lobster not so. Overall it was not what we expected and what we have experienced in the past, especially since the prices did not go down."

"I wouldn't recommend this restaurant, the food is overpriced. My Boyfriend ordered a lobster tail for $28 as his entrée and it came with no sides, he had to pay an extra $9 for garlic mashed and another $9 for asparagus, the garlic mash and asparagus was the good but the lobster tail had no flavor. I ordered the new York strip for $39 and had also had to pay an extra $18 for the garlic mash and asparagus because the steak came with no side as well. Oh and we both order Patron Margaritas for $15 each and they were served in a small martini glass. This place is a rip off."

"We have celebrated our wedding anniversary here for the past 2 years, and consider it one of our favorite restaurants. We are foodies with a taste for seafood. So, we have also been here several times in between. The prices are on the high end, but the food is outstanding. We have been fortunate to have excellent servers on all of our visits. We highly recommend the shrimp & grits appetizer, and the fresh fish selections. Joining the Landry Club is beneficial, well worth the initial minimal fee."

"This place was fantastic, I had a steak and my wife had the stuffed lobster, both were simply delicious. When you are looking for a place to satisfy your seafood fix, this is the spot you want to hit up. I highly recommend the clam chowder, it's every bit as good as what you could find in New England."

"This is the third time that I have patroned this restaurant. The first was exemplary. The second was excellent as well. This last experience was disappointing enough to not return. At high end a la carte steak house prices, the food needs to be excellent every time and the service needed improvement as well. If you want to roll the dice, you might have a great experience. "If you love seafood, this is the place for you. It is very hard to find a fresh seafood restaurant in Orlando. "The menu is extensive and food well prepared. The service staff at The Oceanaire is top of their game with expert knowledge of each menu item. I have always found them to be attentive, professional, and courteous.
I find value in my dining experience but cannot frequent often because of the price structure. I feel the portion size of most entrees are properly done especially considering that I find myself tucking in for 2 1/2 hours beginning with raw bar items before moving onto appetizers and salads before the arrival of our entrees. Dessert is a must however 2 out of 5 of my dining companions found their desserts to be quite stale on my most recent visit.
If you enjoy the 4-course dining experience, be prepared for $100 per person."

"Service started off well, when we were greeted, sat down right away - better have there were 3 other tables in the restaurant. The waiter took our drink order - which took us 15 minutes to get our table, don't know why PLUS my husband's drink was served incorrectly!!
My husband had an outstanding swordfish dinner, and my daughter loved her mahi mahi. I was slightly disppointed with my broiled lobster with stuff crab. Overall the place was good... but we thought since Oceanaire is under the Landry group, like Morton's, we thought it would have been better!"

"The only thing I was not happy with is my husband’s fish wasn't cooked all the way and had to send it back.
I finish my dinner 10 minutes before he did. This kind of wreck the moment of a great dinner for us, it was his birthday and I wanted everything right.
When you spend this kind of money you expect perfection. They didn't even offer him dessert or anything for the compensation.

"My sister and I visited on 4/13/2013 for the first time. Our waiter was wonderful and the manager was great. He was very sensitive to our request. My sister and I had pre-selected before we came to the restaraunt but were told they were not serving that particular dish that day, we expressed to the waiter how disappointed we were but he apparently told the manager and he personnally came to our table and assured us that we could order our selected choice. Greaat customer service and a caring manager. We had a wonderful time, our meal was prepared very quickly and was very tasty.....Thanks Ocenaaire for the great experience!!!"

"At least 2 dishes, including a menu staple (brussel sprouts) that we really wanted to try were "sold out" by 8:15pm, which was disappointing. The waiter was friendly but did not come back often, and I had to ask the manager, who happened to be passing by, for another cocktail, after being empty for 10-15 minutes. Crab cake and scallops were excellent but a little pricey. The mushroom risotto that was served with the scallops was tasty but quite sparse."

"Open Table recommended this restaurant so we took a chance. The ambiance was perfect; the valet parking was complimentary; the food was excellent as well as the service. The oysters were the freshest we had ever eaten. The blackened grouper was cooked to perfection. Lastly, the key lime pie is a must have!!
We even changed our plans for my son's birthday dinner and will be going back tonight.

"It was okay. Reading reviews of fresh seafood the place was not unique at all. I live in Pittsburgh and this was nothing special. Also, totally disappointed of having made a reservation a week in advance and walking into the place and getting the fist table as you enter the dining area disappointing!! "What made this restaurant so good was they individually prepared all the orders. The customer could change the way the meal was prepared by choosing the garnish and condiments. The food was superb with special flavors and was adequate in quantity. The vegetables were expensive but were meant to be shared. They were well prepared with delectable seasonings and spices.
