"Was very surprised at how good this brunch was. I don't usually like buffets but food quality and selection was fantastic. Went for Mother's Day and restaurant was well equipped to handle the crowd. Food was kept stocked and was warm and tasted great! Kids loved the make your own omlettes and waffles; they keep asking to go back! Service was great, water glasses were kept full and empty plates were removed promptly. This was first visit to Gaslight Grill and will be going back!"

"We dined in the late afternoon on Mothers' Day. The restaurant had held a brunch earlier in the day that had obviously worn out and depleted their wait staff. The main dining room was quite noisy and the loud background music made it difficult to carry on a conversation. Once the live jazz entertainment began and the background music was cut, the atmosphere changed for the better. Not sure if I would ever eat in the main dining room again."

"Had a group of 10 & had requested a table near the entrance as several people were quite elderly. We were given the wine room which was perfect for our elderly and the active 2 year old! The variety of foods ordered were all good, cooked correctly and enjoyed by all. My only suggestion would be - I am aware they did a Moms Day Brunch, but it would have been nice if they had a flower for each Mom or a special 1 bite dessert-like a brownie pop. Just letting people know that they recognize we chose to come to their establishment for a special holiday"

"This dining experience was one of the best that my wife and I have had in quite some time. Even with a nearly full restaurant, we were able to have a comfortable and somewhat private conversation. The tenderloin and scallops were particularly good and my wife enjoyed the risotto. Our server, Sarah, was very personable and attentive to us during the entire meal. We definitely plan to return and try other items on the menu."

"We visited for the first time for our 41st Wedding Anniversary. Everything contributed to a special evening out. The greeter was friendly and welcoming, the waiter was cheerful and not intrusive, and the food was excellent. I already wrote to the restaurant to thank them for a great dining experience. The jazz in the background was soothing and not overpowering in volume. Would highly recommend for a place to celebrate special occasion and enjoy a delicious and varied menu. The beef was superbly done."

"My husband and I were celebrating our 37th wedding anniversary and were looking forward to a wonderful evening. Unfortunately that didn't happen...starting from when we received the confirmation call in the afternoon to where we were seated to the final bill problems. It was one thing after another. Music was too loud, server was overwhelmed, service was very slow and we were double-billed for dinner (our credit still hasn't hit the bank yet!) We have been to Gaslight numerous times and have always enjoyed great service and delicious food...despite all the problems we feel this was an "off night" and we still intend to return to Gaslight Grill."

"Food was magnificient. Quiet, enjoyable music. a bit on the pricey side, especially the wine. $105/bottle for average selection. They were out of what we ordered, but replaced with a comparable steak selection, but added additional cost to our bill. Service was fantastic. We dropped about $275 for 2 for dinner, so come prepared. Not saying you have to spend that much, but it adds up rather quickly. I would definitely recommend to a friend, but not to a friend on a budget."

"While the service was very good with great crab cakes and good wedge salad the steak was tough,the rissotto watery with a strong fishy taste. That tall open room feels like a barn. Would not return."

"We were celebrating our 8th anniversary. They had booth waiting in a more secluded area. The table was candlelit and they had scattered pink & silver hearts, on the table, like you see at weddings. That was a nice touch.
We don't drink so I cannot speak of the wine, but it looked like they had a large selection.

"We had a wonderful time at Gaslight Grill. The food was delicious, the service was excellent. It was our anniversary and the staff took special note of that. We were treated like royalty. Thank you for making this day special and memorable. The only reason I didn't give the food a 5 star was that I found my steak a little bit too "chewy". However, my husband loved the salmon and the overall taste was excellent

"The Sunday brunch was very disappointing. We'd been to dinner here and the brunch didn't seem to fit the image of this restaurant that came through during our evening visits. The evening meal were high quality and the service was excellent. The brunch seemed all about quantity. Both my husband and I decribed it in a similar way...nothing was bad but we couldn't come away saying anything was good. Everything was barely warm. Big disappointment. It has been a while since we have been there for dinner...maybe that has become inferior as well. Not sure we are going to test that out."

"This restaurant attempts to be a high-class place, but only has middle-class food and alcohol selections. When I pay $150, I expect the common and simple things to be there plus there are "minimums" that should be at a high caliber restaurant. NOTE: Gaslight Grill is NOT a high caliber restaurant. The minimums are things like dry-aged steak, quality taquila, and addequate selection of dressings.
Everything available at the Gaslight Grill is also available at Outback Steakhouse, but Outback has better selections, better food, and is half the price."

"Was very pleased with the servers attention. Business mtg conducted during dinner, my only complaint was the noise level in the private room across from the bar was a bit loud.
Food was served promptly as the plates and the food were very hot - but they way it shld be when dining out.

"Good food. Pretty good selection of fish and steaks available. They also have a good variety of wines available. The noise can be a bit high but you can reserve some secluded rooms for larger or business parties. one is surrounded by wine racks and has a good atmosphere."

"My husband and I ate at Gaslight on a Sunday evening, and the food was excellent. Varying flavors mixed together in combinations that were very unique, and I loved the salmon dish that I ordered. Our waitress (Shai) was wonderful and really helped us select our app/dishes. The owner himself even came to check on us and see how things were going. It was a great experience.
My only negative is the ambiance. The tall ceilings would be nice if it didn't feel like a cafeteria or church. Perhaps if the wall-color was darker, or the light fixtures more grandiose? There was also a fake-flower arrangement didn't "fit" among the dark leather booths. The main dining area just needs a little something to make it feel more high-end."

"We enjoyed a lovely dinner here. We ate late in the evening (9:30) and nearly had the place to ourselves. The food was good resturant-quality, nothing spectacular, but nothing unexpected either. Our service was fantastic, (server Sarah) with plenty of time to decide and advice when we asked. We caught the last set of live standard jazz which was good quality. We thought the prices were a little high compared to other experiences in the KC area."
