"Our server was very engaging, and guided us through our meal selections with a thorough knowledge of ingredients and overall taste. Apparently our ongoing dialog about the appetizers prompted the couple at the table next to us to say they regretted not ordering any! Our main dishes provided us with just the right combination of fresh and savory ingredients. Trust your server when they suggest dessert - we'll be talking about popcorn ice cream for weeks!"

"Brunch was enjoyable and totally worth it. I noticed there were two families with multiple children in the restaurant (well-behaved children). I didn't realize how family friendly the Grange was until this week. I hope more people take advantage of it, the brunch at the Grange is good no matter your age!"

"Restaurant was very accommodating to a wide age range group for Easter Brunch. Food was well prepared and attractively served. Service was a little slow with no apparent cause for the lengthy wait after ordering. We will go back for other meal times and have already recommended the restaurant to friends."

"We have always enjoyed the eclectic and creative dishes offered at this restaurant. As they focus on locally sourced ingredients, the menu varies virtually every day. The atmosphere is what I would characterize as casual elegance. While there are table cloths, I've always felt comfortable in "dress jeans." Service is consistently excellent as the waitstaff is not burdened with too many tables. We've bee here three times in the past six months and have tried the so called Tasting Menu on two occasions. If you like the items on the Tasting Menu, I highly recommend that approach."

"We had a wonderful meal including the charcuterie platter, fig/chorizo/blue cheese appetizer (wonderful), duck, salmon and dessert. The bread was delicious and the Gggggrange cocktail was fabulous. We felt sorry for the Easter Bunny with all the rabbit on the menu but it's a lovely place well worth a visit."

"Amazing service and menu. The chef did some intriguing things with the menu, and they worked well. I won't go into details, except to say it was wonderful fine dining in a quiet atmosphere that allowed me to enjoy the food and company."

"Wonderfully fresh and perfectly prepared food. We enjoyed every course of the 5-course chef selection menu which was paired nicely with a beverage flight that included 4 wines and an lovely beer selection. The use of seasonal and local produce was outstanding and we would love to try the 5-course tasting menu in every season. We also thank Grange for offering a Living Social Deal that made our date night a bit more affordable."

"Brunch was delicious. We had farm fresh eggs cooked to order, good coffee and excellent service. We went early so it was not too noisy, but we could see that as the morning went on, it could be quite noisy. We would definitely go again."

"I really try to eat local, so I was anxious to try this restaurant. While on the pricey side, it it well worth going for a special night out. The chicken and shrimp dumplings were delicious, as well as the New York strip. I will return on another special occasion and try another offering from the menu. The Wait person wasn't sure about all of the menu, which was a little disappointing(he had to go check to see if the Salmon offered on the menu was wild or farm raised...the answer: farm raised)...So another choice was made by my daughter)."

"As a foodie locavore I love many things about the whole concept of Grange, and I wanted the food to be one of them. But my brunch omelet was merely fine, while the potatoes were on the rubbery side (they'd clearly been sitting around for a while). The fritters, however, were out-of-this-world delicious. Service was knowledgeable and personable, but the food a bit slow to arrive and the coffee rarely refilled. Still, I'll hope this was a fluke and give them another try soon; they're doing many things right."

"We were greeted by very friendly faces and shown directly to our table. We had a reservation for 2 chef tasting menu's; however, our server took time to explain the other menu offerings and highlight house specialties, both food and drinks. Throughout our meal, our server was very attentive and thoroughly explained each dish that was brought to us. The ambiance was peaceful and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that asks!"

"This was our second time at Grange. Although we were anticipating a leisurely brunch, the time between ordering and receiving was uncomfortably long. When the food did arrive, one order was completely incorrect which left one of our starving party sitting and watching everyone else eat. My husband"s Grange Breakfast Burger bun was ice cold as if it was just defrosted. The bacon needs to be specified "crispy" or it will look barely cooked. The food was tasty, but nothing special. Friendly staff. We sat at a round table in the middle of the room which when others arrived had us donning our coats to stay warm as there is no secondary door to keep out the cold. Overall disappointing."

"The food and wine was, as always, superb. The portions are rather small, but I suppose the quality more than makes up for the quantity. I suppose what put a damper on the evening was the server: very professional and knowledgeable, but a real stick up her behind. Which often tends to be the case at The Grange: I find the staff there exceedingly stiff. But the food is so yummy..."

"I think Grange is trying way too hard to be unique--and falling way short. We did the four-course Valentine meal three years ago and loved it. This year only the dessert was good. Portions were skimpy and tastes uninspired. One of my dishes was very salty and when the server asked, I shared that. She came back and apologized and said it had been accidentally salted twice! However she didn't offer another selection or an adjustment to the bill-- a $55/person tab.I would call Grange a former rising star in the Ann Arbor restaurant scene. We won't be returning."

"three negatives.........way too much salt in the food............and when we were ordering, one of us asked the waitress to please tell the chef that she can't have added salt in her food and the waitress FORGOT........our friend ate her dinner and that was her fault...she should have sent it back but when everyone else has been served, it's sort of inconvenient to have to sit there and wait another half hour......
also the people at the table next to us were talking way too loud and the acoustics must not be very good, because even after they lowered their voices, they were still too loud.........then another group sat down at another table near us and that one was also too loud....
also, not enough wait staff"

"Wife and I went here with groupon in hand for their Chefs Five Course meal. Our third trip here and each and every time we leave full, looking forward to our next visit. It's a Farm to Fork restaurant so their menu changes often. Well worth it!!"

"This place is fantastic. Had a company holiday party on the second floor (about 30 people) and it was wonderful. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive (not in a hovering way). Food is always excellent (dessert is always my favorite, props to the pastry chef!). Have been back many times since and it's always as good as the first. Highly recommend!"

"We had a very nice brunch at Grange this morning. It was quieter than when I have been there in the past and felt a little dead. However, the food was still delicious (particularly the lemon pancakes). My husband says it's the best omelet he's ever had. I highly recommend it for brunch in the Ann Arbor area."

"The appetizer course was excellent and so was the soup. The entrees were not as good as I thought they would be. My husband got the chicken fried pork steak and it was nothing spectacular. The breading needed more seasoning. The lake trout was good but a little over-cooked."

"We were seated right next to the kitchen (right behind the curtain) which detracted some from the ambiance. It was Monday of Restaurant Week, and it was an extremely cold night. Unfortunately, we were chilly inside, even way in the back. Drinking tea. (1 of us)
But the food was inventive, delicious and pretty. Elegantly set table. Friendly and informed waitress. We 3 women thought the "uniform" of the waitstaff a bit too casual for the fancier surroundings. No need for formality but jeans and a tee?"

"Great food, but the space was really cold! We went for restaurant week and the best choices would be the chicken liver (and I don't like liver!), the salad, and the trout. One improvement: they need a curtain to keep out the winter wind every time a customer enters the restaurant."
