"Fred and Steves staff was professional and friendly from the entrance to the exit!Our meals were phenominal!and although the entrees may appear expensive they are well worth it and the sides can be split (nice size portions) so all though it is a la carte you can get a wide variety.ABSOLUTELY DELISH!!!!! "Greeted and seated quickly. Server was a little slow to arrive. She explained that it was a team approach and mentioned 2 others but they never introduced themselves. She didn't seem to know much about ingredients, an item on the featured drink list and the dipping sauces that accompany the bread. She did eventually come back with an answer. Bread is fantastic (especially the cranberry nut) and we skipped the appetizer because we enjoy it so much. Entrees are ala carte and a little pricey but we enjoyed the prime rib and lamb chop special. Sides are minimum $7 and are large enough for 2 to share. There are a number of them to choose from.

"This was not our first visit to Fred & Steve's. The food as always was delicious and cooked to perfection. If you have a special occasion to celebrate or just want to go out for a nice leisurely meal at at restaurant with great atmosphere then Fred and Steve's is the place to go. The food is great and the wait staff is wonderful, friendly and very helpful."

"The food was good - not great - and overpriced. I ordered the Cowboy Steak - for $68.00. If I'm paying 70 bucks for a steak, I expect it to be perfect. Long story short, the server asked me to cut into it to see if it was cooking to my liking. I ordered it medium rare, warm red center. What came out was clearly Medium, bordering on Medium well. I told the server that it was NOT cooked to my liking and he responded, "Well that's what our Medium Rare is" and reluctantly took it away. The manager brought it back cooked nicely, however he was so rude and unaccommodating that he actually told me that I should have ordered it "rare - medium rare." He made me feel like I was THAT annoying customer. I work in fine dining. We will never go back."

"Our seitcond time there, and the food was as good as we remembered. The lobster bisque and French onion soup were delicious. I had the surf and turf. The stuffed shrimp were tasty, and the fillet was nicely seasoned. My husband had the fillet, which he said was also tasty, but overcooked (medium well, instead of medium). They did have us check our steaks when they first delivered them, so I'm sure they would have fixed it if he had said something. But he still enjoyed his dinner. The lobster mashed potatoes were also excellent. We didn't gamble at all... just enjoyed a great meal."

"Overall the food and service was good, but the management and operation of the restaurant was poor. The food did take an unusually long time to come out (over an hour) and my wife's food had a sauce added that was not requested. But the main problem with this establishment was the management. My wife made a reservation requesting a booth, but when we got there we were seated at a table. We informed the hostess and she contacted management then returned to tell us that there were no booths available (there were 3 empty right behind our table). We informed the hostess and she told us that they are reserved for larger parties. Within 10 min. two of the booths were filled with couples."

"The restaurant is always a treat to visit. My wife and i had made reservations and my table was waiting for us when we showed up 10 minutes before our appointed time. The Host at the front desk was very pleasant and friendly and seated us right away. The Host identified who our servers would beand explained the wine menu and dinner menu to us.
The two servers were very good and made suggestions about that nights specials. Overall, the food was great, service was excellent and the atmosphere was very good.

The only comment I have inregards to the food, which is excellent, I would like to see extra large shrimp to be used on their Baked stuffed shrimp. I dont mind paying the price, but I think the price warrants the best !!!"

"Not worth the full price, will only go back for the specials during the week. We got the filet steak which was very pricey and it was very dry. Very disappointed. Have been there before and liked it, that is why we went back."

"Our party of four had a very enjoyable evening at Fred & Steve's. The food was good, but not outstanding. Portions were generous, and presentation and service were excellent. However, one of our steaks was overcooked and the tailgate salad was relatively tasteless. Both soups (clam chowder and French onion) disappointed-cheese was too thick on onion and few clams in clam chowder. Food not what was expected for the price."

"We dined out at fred & Steve's for my husband's birthday. We chose the 3 for $33 menu. This is a great deal! Glass of sangria, appetizer, entree, side (enough for 2 to share) and a full size dessert for $33! There was also fresh bread with a trio of toppings - butter, pesto sauce and a red pepper dipping sauce) on the table. We both had the steak. While it was not the best steak you have ever tasted, it was a just right portion with all of the other courses. No fat, very tender.My only complaint was that we had dined here previously last May and the menu was exactly the same except for maybe 1 or 2 entrees. I would like to see the menu change more frequently and maybe 1 more appetizer choice, dessert choice, side choice, entree choice"

"This was our third dining experience at Fred & Steve's. The first time we went there, we were thrilled at how delicious everything was. The second time, we wondered if it would be as good as the first--and it was. This time, somehow, it seemed to be even better than the first two.
My husband and I both had the sirloin steak. Perfectly cooked, tender and juicy, a truly fine cut of beef. The sides--while a bit expensive, with the menu a la carte--were very tasty with generous portions. We did not indulge in dessert since the meal was more than enough to leave us feeling satisfied.
Can't wait to go back for round four!!!"
