"My teenaged daughter and I celebrated my birthday there on a Thursday evening. It was busy but not crowded in a casual, expansive, diner-type main room. Service was excellent, attentive but not intrusive. The menu, on just two pages, had several good seafood choices plus a few alternatives and at least one gluten free choice (that I noticed). The wine and beer list is much longer than the food menu and rather pricey. There were several nicely dressed families (besides us :-) with well-behaved kids that looked under 12.
I had the avocado ceviche (yellowtail), Alaskan halibut over portobello mushrooms and a rich Caesar salad. My daughter had crab chowder with a big salmon salad. We shared a chocolate brownie a la mode at the end. Very tasty."

"we had the April tasting menu, which the staff let us try even though they usually don't offer it on weekends. Everything off of it was delicious - crab cakes, chowder, sea bass and berry cobbler. The other options that my friends had were also delicious. The space is a little cold; there is too much space between tables to create a good atmosphere, but the food more than makes up for it."

"Everything was top notch just like our last visit!
They have a very good happy hour special with 1/2 off appetizers, $5 martinis, etc., but this is only in the bar. My visits have been on Fridays around 6pm, and the bar has been packed every time.
In April, they ran a $25 tasting menu! Excellent! I hope they do it again!

"My husband and I were celebrating a romantic anniversary, and we ordered the 4-course tasting menu, and each dish was special and superb! Portions were the right size so that we could taste all four courses without feeling too full. The Prawns in the yummy red sauce for the first course were the best flavor and texture I've ever eaten! Salad and soup were excellent, and the sea bass and salmon were mouth-watering! And the desserts - creme brulee (perfect)and the berry cobbler a la mode (succulent) were the ideal ending for such a fabulous meal."

"We dined for Easter brunch, and while the food offered was good, they had lost power an hour before we arrived. We were not informed of this when we were seated, only when we walked back to the buffet area (which was dark) and asked the server handing out plates. Because of this, they were unable to cook in the kitchen, and thus could not make any omelettes, pancakes, etc. They still had a lot of food available, but none of it was hot. Even with the limited menu, they did not offer a discount of the price of the brunch. My husband ate his fill of chilled seafood offerings, which made him happy, but I would have liked an omelette which was advertised. Overall, good food, but disappointing customer service."

"We had reservations for Easter Sunday Brunch at 12:15pm. Upon arrival we learned that a nearby problem caused Oceano to loose its power. So it was a 'candlelit' brunch for us. In spite of challenging conditions, the managers, the wait staff and the bussers should all be commended for exhibiting grace under pressure.
And the food was terrific too, even though the low candle lighting only preventing us from being able to see what each of the buffet items were!
We will revisit Oceano again very soon."

"I hosted a party for my step-daughter and her husband. We arrived about a half-hour earlier than our reservation and with additional guests, total 12 people. The staff of Oceano was incredibly gracious and re-arranged the table set up to accommodate all. Table service was outstanding and did not interfere with the festivities. The food was incredible. We had appetizers and meals. I cannot say enough about the quality and breadth of the food. Everything was outstanding.Kudos to all the staff of Oceano!"

"Had a party of seven. Everyone had a different entree and all plates were empty. I'd say that all my friends really enjoyed it. Patrick, the waiter was a class act. Service was great. All entrees seemed reasonably priced and were fresh. I had thought there might be a wider selection of fresh fish but nevertheless, what was on the menu was all great and satisfied everyone. The decor is very lovely and fresh with a lot of art work and fancy lighting. It had a nice ambiance,enhancing the dining experience. All of our wines were hand picked by the service staff and were outstanding. We'll definitely return."

"We have visited many times for various reasons including food quality, our favorite champagne, and one of the best bloody marys we've ever had. This particular visit included too much of all three, and a much needed afternoon nap at home. Although I am aware that cows don't live in the ocean, I would love to see more red meat options to pair with an impressive list of red wine."

"Excellent service,food, and atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Oceano and would highly recommend it for special occassions or just a night out. The seafood was very well prepared (Mahi~Mahi,Swordfish,Risotto) and affordably priced. Sincere "Thanks" to the friendly staff and management for taking care of us!"

"How wonderful it was to have a fabulous meal served in a restaurant where you can actually hear everyone at your table talking. We were seated in the enclosed street side porch, which was nicely heated. Our waiter was informative, pleasant, and not pushy. Our salmon and sea scallops were fresh and perfect -- as usual. Even the rolls were totally yummy! We will be back."

"Excellent food; excellent service. Owner stopped by table to say hello which was nice. Very busy Saturday night crowd. We came early - 5:45 reservation for 5 people -- and were immediately seated in a half full restaurant, but by the time we left at 7:45 the place was packed. Our only complaint -- and it's not really a complaint -- we wish we had a little more time between appetizer and service of the entrees. That felt a little rushed. Overall, GREAT dining experience."

"Great service! Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgable of the menu with excellent reccomendations. The manager sat at our table and talked with us for a couple of minutes! We really had a wonderful experience. The food was amazing! Every bite was flavorful. Will definitely go back and have already started recommending to friends and family."

"Our orders, delivered by someone other than our server were not correct. It took far to long to get his attention and to correct. Likewise, coffee service was slow and refills offered only after the check was paid.

"We were looking for a place not too far from the Fox to dine after a matinee with a group of 8 celebrating a couple birthdays. Also a twist was a few diners were dieting and one was NOT a fish lover. The great thing was the menu offered so many options. We are all foodies at heart and the menu accommodated with wonderful options for all. As one of the 'dieters' I could stick to something with condiments to the side and wonderful long green beans and golden beets. It was fantastic. Our meat lover said the steak was to die for and likewise the Caesar salad. It did not disappoint. The staff handled the large party with ease...never want for a clean utensil, a full glass of water or an empty dish cluttering the table. Would recommend!!"
