"We love dining at the Chart House and always is a delight. My wife and I enjoyed our time this past Saturday night and thought everything was great with the exception of one entree. My wife ordered the Crusted Salmon and found it to be really dry and over cooked it seemed. The Snapper with Lump Crab entree I ordered was truly an amazing dish. Enjoyed it greatly. I'm sure the Salmon dish is prepared to be better than what she experienced. I just hated it for her. We love to celebrate our special occassions at the Chart House because we know from past experience you pay attention to detail. Thank you for that! We did not say anything about the entree but wanted you to be aware of this on account of others who may experience the same."

"Eric was a very good waiter and quite attentive. We always eat at your restaurant when we come to Savannah. We had a very nice evening as we celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary. Other than my steak not being cooked the way it was ordered, we had a great time....and always do."

"Overall the experience was outstanding, and memorable. I have never been to a place that serves such fine food and such wonderful service. The menu is limited but there is something for any taste, from steak to seafood. This restaurant is one reason I visit Savannah, GA. not to mention I drive four hours just to visit makes it a hot spot for fine dining in my book."

"As always the meals was 5 stars. However the service was less than adequate. It took an unusually long time to get service. Once he took our drink order we did not see him for a long time. Since we ordered unsweetend tea he never asked us if we needed sweetner and never brought any until we saw him again and got it later. I had Clam Chowder which was excellent but no bread or crackers which would have been nice. Again we had to request bread or we would not have gotten it."

"The food was absolutely terrible. I had been there about 10 years ago and I was excited about returning. We had the Lobster Spring Rolls for an appitizer. They were gross and the deep fried cabbage tasted like burnt lettuce. My steak was over cooked and had lots of fat. And their famous Choclate Pot Desert did not have the presentation or flair it once had....it looked like it just came out of the microwave and was plopped on a plate! I was just very disappointed in the food and I know I will never return."

"The Chart House is one of the best restaurants we have been to in a while. Everything was terrific, from the reservations to paying the bill. This is one of our favorite new places to dine. There was not a single flaw in our experience. The view of the river from the second floor was relaxing, the Yellowtail Ahi was wonderful, the prime rib was cooked perfectly, the port wine was excellent, and the Maitre De and manager were very professional and took care of our every need. We have only a couple places that we enjoy for special occasions, but Chart House has just made the top of the list. Thank you so much for a exquisite experience. We will see you Soon! Perfect! "I only had one night in Savannah and my daughter goes to college within an hour so she and her boy friend and me and my wife (not my daughter's mother) met at The Chart House which I had been to years before. What an excellent choice!! The kids really enjoyed it and my wife who had never been agreed it was wonderful. Food, service and ambience were very condusive to relaxed conversation. Best evening I have had with my NEW wife and my Daughter."

"We were very disappointed. We have been to 4 other Chart Houses (one in Maui, 2 in New York and 1 in Virginia)and were so happy when we spotted the sign while on our trolley ride. Chart Houses are where we traditionally celebrate our anniversaries. The food here cannot compare at all to the other Chart Houses. My Snapper Hemingway was nothing special, although the price was. The rice was so-so. The only exception was the clam chowder, which was excellent. There was no salad bar as there is at other Chart Houses. Overall it was very overpriced for the quality. There are many restaurants in Savannah that are better, including the River House right down the street,where desserts are fantastic."

"The food is great (esp. the seafood), the view overlooking the river and passing ocean-going ships is picturesque, the ambience pleasant and not loud, and the service top-notch. A big, varied menu (go for the fish, but watch out: the desserts are extremely delicious and also humongous!) and extensive wine list (wines costing from $25 to over $100 per bottle). Lots of positive energy from both staff and other customers, who are immediately made to feel comfortable and at ease. One of the best restaurants in Savannah--a city already filled with great restaurants!"

"I've been to the Chart House in Lake Tahoe several times and couldn't resist trying the one in Savannah. Our waiter was extremely attentive--I was impressed with his efforts to ensure we had everything we asked for as quickly as possible. The seafood was, as expected, wonderful--perfectly prepared, seasoned well, and well balanced. The lobster bisque was excellent. Everyone in our group enjoyed their dinner."

"We visit Savannah quite often and always stay in the historic area. We love eating at the Chart House Restaurant on River Street because of the overall atmosphere - it is warm and friendly and the river view is beautiful. Their steaks are great - seafood outstanding and the service is the best - the staff is always friendly and accommodating. Cost is pricey but worth it. I highly recommend eating here."

"My filet was cooked perfectly but, it wasn't the greatest piece of filet I've ever had -a little tough on one edge. In fairness to the chef, there was probably no way to know that without eating it. We had a very enjoyable dinner and we really appreciate the complimentary mud pie, since it was my wife's birthday. It was her first visit to the Chart House in Savannah. The server was top notch! He was very helpful in making recommendations for our main courses. We will definitely be back! Thanks!"

"Food was very good. I had prime rib which was as good or better than an recent dining experence at Lawreys in Los Angeles. This was a 2 year wedding anniversary for a couple in their late eighties so was glad it was so good. We also had an excellent waiter."

"We enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant, and our waiter was very attentive (His name was Juan). Our appetizers were quite tasty; however, I think our entrees were just average. I ordered the lobster tail, and it was dry and small for the price. I assumed that it had been either pre-cooked and then reheated or overcooked. My husband ordered the "Dynamite Grouper." The portion was very small, too, for the price. My dessert was delicious as was my specialty coffee. Overall, we thought it was definitely overpriced, and for that reason probably would not dine there again."

"While reservations are recommended, for lunch on Christmas day they were not necessary. The restaurant was less than half full. The menu was heavy toward seafood (it is a seafood restaurant) but offered little else. One member of the party tried the prime rib and was extremely disappointed. The meat wouldn't cut with a regular table knife and was difficult to cut with a steak knife. The shrimp was excellent. The fish (grouper) was a mild fish with little flavor. This restaurant was on the expensive side ($100+ for 3 people without alcohol). I probably would not go back."

"I brought the family there for a holiday meal (christmas) and we had a wonderful experience. Service was top rate, food was excellent and staff were all friendly and helpful. The lobster bisque was so good and all meals were cooked to perfection."

"Our table was near the kitchen and a direct path to and from for everyone in the place. I have never seen so many staff running back and forth constantly. It was very distracting and spoiled our experience."

"We have been to this location several times and never had a bad meal or bad service but this time it took forever for the food to come out and when it did nothing was right. Lobster overdone, sides not correct and missing sides. The manager did apologize and take off the lobster tail but with the tail dinner taken off the bill was still $144 before tip you expect more at these prices. Why we will at go back again seeing how we've only had 1 bad experience out of 10 I still think more could have been done as far as the check and communication with what was going on in the kitchen."

"Reliable food as you find at any Chart House. The service here though is lousy. The servers are young and inexperienced and either too intrusive or too absent. And the restaurant is on 3 floors with no elevator, so not appropriate for those who have trouble with stairs. We entered on the 3rd floor - I was with an elderly person - the wait staff made us walk down to the first floor, and then we had to walk back up to the 3rd floor to our table. You'd think they could come up with a system..."

"I was disappointed. I took my boss and his wife there for a Christmas present. We were all ready for prime rib and there was none. We were there at 6 PM and they did not open until 5 PM. How could this happen? I ordered the filet cooked medium rare. At best it was a very good medium. I did not complain since I wanted this to be a good experience for all since it was my present, but I probably will not go again."

"I did have a take out order the Sat., 11/21, and I ordered claim chowder, and I did not receive any crackers and/or bread, and a spoon with my take out. Otherwise, the food was magnificent!. The next day, my husband and I celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary at the Chart House and we were 100% satisfied. Thank you!"
