"With out of country guests, I chose the Chart House and was not disappointed.
The waitress ("Sarah") was outstanding, present when needed but otherwise, inconspicuous.
Sarah suggested Calamari & Friends and the Crab Avocado Mango Stack. The two appetizers complimented each other and was a very nice start.
The entrees were well prepared and nicely presented. My Macadamia Crusted Mahi was cooked perfectly.
Meal ended with Chocolate Lava Cake, Key Lime Pie and Mud Pie.
Chart House again did not disappoint and my guests thoroughly enjoyed their dining expereince."

"Sadly, I was a let down, general appearance is showing some wear, staff uniforms looked dingy. It was over 5 minutes before we were greeted, although 3 empl were at the desk. Seem to be working on a computer problem. I finally said excuse me, we have reservations. The food is good but it doesn't match the prices. My snapper was overcooked and the rice was reminiscence of something from a box. The lobster bisque was good as well as the spring rolls. The deserts were just ok. The view is the only reason I personally would ever return. Maybe just have wine and appetizers and enjoy the view. Our bill was just under $200/3 people before tip. The food should have been exceptional and it wasn't even close. Honestly it didn't even seem fresh."

"The location is beautiful. The service was very good, the food was great. The salad bar is a waste of $7.95 (with your entree) Ruby Tuesdays has a better selection. It should be included with the meal considering the typical entrees are all around $30. Something needs to be done about the noise. It was hard to talk to the person next to me let alone across the table. Only as it approached 9:30 did it become acceptable as most of the people had left. We will probably go back- we will skip the salad and buy a couple of appetizers for the table and hope we are late enough to pass the rush."

"I haven't been to the Charthouse in years. I attended a Retirement Dinner and I was extremely surprised at the valet parking, the ambience, the food and the extremely well versered waiter. We were treated like royalty and it was a nice change. Beautiful restaurant, views, fantastic food and romantic setting."

"The service was fantastic as always and the food was delicious. My husband had the clam chowder for an appetizer and we shared the hummus trio. The hummus did taste like it needed a little salt, particularly the edamame one, but they were still good and that might just be a personal preference. We each had the salad bar as well and that never disappoints."

"Very good food, great service. Very attentive staff. I was especially impressed when one of he employees called ten minutes after we left informing us that one of our party had left a cell phone at the table. Then hung around long enough for one of us to get back and pick it up. That is top-notch service in a non-food related way. My compliments to the professionals who serve here."

"The food was TERRIBLE and the waiter was annoying with his up-selling which is a bit of a pet peeve of mine. (When we ordered dinner, he asked if we would prefer soup or salad with our dinner, indicating that this option was included with dinner. I knew it wasn't, but it always annoys me when servers do this. It RARELY happens because it's flat out dishonest. A good server would have some something more like "would you like to add a soup or salad?" When it's an $8 additional charge on top of a $30 meal, the server should NOT indicate that the salad course is included!)
I got filet Medallions and my husband chose the Mahi. Both were really BAD. DO NOT waste your money on this overpriced restaurant!"

"We were so excited to go to the Chart House while in Florida, but sadly, we had our Golden Retriever with us. Happily, the valet was so nice, caring, and professional, in regards to our Golden, I was floored. They parked our SUV up-front, lower the windows, and kept an eye on him while he slept. What a wonderful place and what wonderful people. The valet couldn't be more kind and professional."

"100% Quality all the way around! From the service to the food! Chart House carries a little hirer price tag then most places but dont let that be a deterrent. If your looking for an amazing experience and atmosphere then look no furture! All in all Chart House is a great value and served me the best steak that I have ever eaten! It was our 6th Anniversary,so when I made the reservations online, I mentioned since it was our anniversary, we would love to have a great table. Not only did we get a river view table, but at the end of the meal, we were presented with our menus, which had been scrolled. At the top of the menu's was writen" The Melbourne Chart House would like to wish you both a very happy 6th anniversary". That made us feel special."

"This is our goto local restaurant for special occasions. The salad bar is iconic, the best available ingredients are well stocked and meticulously maintained. Waitstaff is experienced and knowledgable. The bar can get a bit noisy around the 6 to 7 PM time frame but it doesn't detract from the other elements of this standout restaurant."

"I've been dining at the Chart House in Melbourne for over 25 years and ordinarily would give it high marks. My most recent dine last week was a terrible disappointment!! Although I had a reservation I had to wait over 20 minutes supposedly for a table in the dining room. My 12 year old daughter and I were starved by the time we were seated in the LOUNGE!!! Parties were coming in after us and being seated but we were supposedly waiting for a good table. Not so. The manager did comp an appetizer for us but I felt it was too little too late. Big disappointment especially since we could've gone to a number of places but CHOSE to go here after driving down from Atlanta. Next year I'm planning on trying a new place."

"My wife and I had 7:00pm reservations for our 30th Anniversary Dinner together. It was our first dining experience at the Chart House. We arrived at 6:50pm and weren't seated until 7:35pm however this was the only disappointment of our experience. Our service was provided by Pat who was gracious, courteous and knowledgeable of both the wine list and menu. The menu provided to us was printed wishing us Happy Anniversary, which was a very nice personal touch. We ordered a bottle of wine, appetizer (lump crab with mango, red bell pepper and avacado), the Filet Mignon and Salmon with a side of asparagus finishing with a serving of Key Lime Pie and coffee. The food was all impeccable."

"I never got to eat my entree. My steak came out over well done, I ordered it medium and I never got a new one. Our waiter stayed away did not come back to our table for over 1/2 hour and we had to ask for a manager from another employee."

"We had a early reservation at 5 pm during the week. Our server was professional, helpful with answer questions about the menu, brought our food and drinks in a timely manner. My husband had the salmon, which was cooked to perfection. I had the shrimp and artichoke over linguine and it was very good. We both ordered salads, mine was a ceasar salad and my husband ordered a chop salad. They were both very fresh and fairly large. We highly recommend this restaurant."

"Even though it was Easter Sunday, I was surprised we had to wait 25 minutes for a table when we had a reservation. If they had a place for us to wait, then it wouldn't have been as inconvenient. However, there were so many people waiting, there was no where to go but stand. It was after all a holiday, what can you do?
The food was splendid. We haven't been the Melbourne CH in a long time, but the food and scenery are always good. The Caesar could have been a little more crisp, but again, it was a very busy holiday! The desserts were fantastic. We ordered the Mud Pie and Lava Cake (ordered with the meal). Both were perfect!"

"This restaurant is well worth visiting. We were there for Easter Dinner and it was wonderful. They make you feel comfortable and not rused even with a big crowd. The food is excellent. Everything was cooked exactly as asked and the presentation is beautiful. It goes without saying that the view is spectacular and very relaxing."

"Chart House in Melbourne is a wonderful place to dine. From the valet to the front desk to the servers, everyone is gracious! Their Chefs are excellent! Must try the Lava Cake for dessert. This is my favorite restaurant and always look forward to dining there."

"Nice location, the food is dependably good and the wait staff service is fine. However this restaurant must have its own concept of a reservation. I have been here many times and routinely find that I have to wait 20-30 minutes after my reservation time to be seated and it is not unusual for the delay to be upwards of 45 minutes on weekends. To add additional insult the waiting area (including the bar) is cramped and you will find people waiting outside. Being a skeptic I suspect they intentionally delay seating to increase liquor sales and bar tabs. Being a bit more kind perhaps the front of the house is just disorganized and incompetent - they certainly aren't apologetic about the delay and treat it as business as usual"

"While we enjoy the salad bar and the view, the Melbourne Chart House continues to disappoint. The Maryland crab cakes were primarily filler and tasted nothing like crab. The prices do not reflect an inferior experience and we were told by the management that when we return, we will be given a nice window seat and they will try to get it right. Unfortunately, we have heard this response before.
If you merely desire a view of the water and a fairly good salad bar at the price of an entree anywhere else in Melbourne, this is where you want to go. So close to the water, but so far from fresh.
On Palm Sunday, there were only 3 tables occupied while we were dining."

"Everything was very good except for two things. We came in for early bird and initally were seated way in the back away for everyone else. It was very warm back there as well.When we asked to go back in the main area we got a lot of attitude from the person seating us. She said "I will have to go back and check" with a lot of attitude. I really felt like we put her out.Second issue was the waiter taking our order. He asked if my wife if she wanted veggies or another side and she assumed he was talking about what came with the meal. Instead they charged us for an extra side of something that came with the meal already. It was only $8 but really? These things sound petty but for what you pay I expect perfection."
