"Not really much else to say other than it was a nice evening out for my wifes birthday. Be sure to call ahead with your special occasion and they will print that on the top of the menu (e.b., Happy Birthday [date] or Happy Anniversary [date]...the couple next to us was celebrating their anni) Food for thought for those that use Open Table, drop that in the notes section of your reservation."

"Went there for our 18th anniversary. The food was only so-so. Didn't particularly enjoy the waiter (Scott). We felt rushed and he was lacking personality. The entire staff seemed disheveled in their attire. Ties weren't tight, shirts were hanging out, and just getting to our table was like playing a game of dodge ball. Just didn't seem like a place where you drop $150 for two. Which we did."

"Our second visit to Chart House was 9 years after the first, and lived up to the high expectations that developed after all that waiting. It was just as beautiful, the food was amazing, the waiter was helpful and definitely a professional. It is one of the only places we highly recommend to others. To us, the food stands on it's own, but to go to the Chart House is to enjoy a great wine list, amazing staff, and a one of a kind view as well. The main dish is cooked perfectly, but the side dishes are more than just plate filler. We both cleaned our plate and ordered dessert (don't ever stop serving the lava cake!), which almost never happens. We do want to return soon to let our kids experience the amazing seafood."

"I have ate at this Chart House many times over the past 30 years. The food is always reliable, even if it is not spectacular. The Prime Rib is excellent, even though it seems to be a smaller portion than years ago.
The fish is always good.
Our waitress this time wasn't friendly and seemed to be reading from a script trying to get us to order items to increase the bill, without telling us each item she was recommending was going to be extra."

"For the first time, quite disappointed with the food. Ordered short ribs and scallops. The short ribs were terribly over-done, to a point of being desert dry. The scallops, portion size was supposed to be 2 scallops, but received 1 and barely a half very very small scallops. Not their best effort. Hope this is not view of what is to come but merely a bad night."

"Great food, great service, great views, poor choice in music. It was not conducive to romantic dining environment. The din of the early dinner crowd drowned out the strange techno pop music. But as the crowd thinned it became more and more pronounced. Bad choice! All in all a very enjoyable dining experience. The food, service and great view over shadowed the music. Had I noticed the music earlier it would have been a different experience."

"Once upon a time this was a good franchise. Now there a number of francises like this. I would not reccomend this resturant for a special occasion. The food is ok. The wine prices are very high.
I would reccomend Riva Grill any day of the week.
As for the view, its ok.

"The Chart House is a chain of upscale restaurants long overdue for a major overhaul. This one in Nevada is no exception. The ambiance is straight from the 70's with old furniture, and decor ( with the clear exception of the bathrroom s wihich are indeed sparkiling new). The menu is probably the same offered since the restaurant's opening. For example, they have no oyster menu and the oysters offered where the most common, tourits appeal from BC..( try to offer Kumos of Prince Edwardss). No fresh shellfish in sight either. Just frozen South African lobster taail instead of fresh New England Lobster. It is so 1970'

"Wonderful food and service. My wife and I were in town for our honeymoon and all of the locals and frequent visitors to the Tahoe Area said that this was an excellent location. We had Matt as a server and he was very friendly and personable. I had the swordfish and my wife had the Ahi both were cooked to perfection. We made sure to be there during sunset and the view of Tahoe is amazing. Strongly recommend this venue for great food, great service, and splendid view."

"Great view of Lake Tahoe from the windows. We had six people in our party, two families on spring break. Most of had some form of prime rib, from kid's meal to prime rib & lobster tail which was prepared excellently, great flavor and perfectly tender. The lobster tail was prepared excellently & had great taste & texture. Other people had salmon and chicken where complementing how well it tasted and prepared. We visited during a weekday and we where surprised the amount of people that where there since most places have lighter crowds.
We visited other Chart House restaurants in Cardiff, CA and Palm Springs, CA and this location matches in quality & ambiance but the views of Lake Tahoe can't be matched by another restaurant in the area."

"For a corporate chain restaurant, the service was superb and the food was spectacular. We started off with a Brie dip that was off the menu. Let me tell you, it was a taste of heaven. My boyfriend also said the mini crabs cakes were the best he's had in awhile. The mussels appetizer was delicious as well. We chose the white wine tomato sauce. Our server was fast, responsive, and very good at upselling. We got everything he suggested and we're glad we did."

"The tuna appetizer was delicious. They have a wonderful salad bar. We had the scallops and shrimp for dinner. Our server, Nick, was fantastic. Would come back if we visit Tahoe again!!"
