"Our party’s steaks were cooked nicely and were very flavorful. However, the side dishes and an appetizer of Calamari were rather tasteless. The service was very good, especially for Mother’s Day. That said; for a higher end restaurant the food should be much higher quality."

"We went to the Chart House for Mother's Day brunch. We had a lovely table with a spectacular view of the river! The service was great. Our son has a couple of allergies and the chef came to our table to talk with us. The food wasn't great. I would recommend the salad bar which has a nice caviar selection and there are raw oysters on the menu. We would go again but wold sit at the bar for drinks and oysters."

"For the price it is not worth it. Two of our party ordered garoupa, one grilled the other breaded & fried. When our entrees arrived neither the server nor the waitress knew whether the fish was grilled or breaded, we had to demand that it be taken back to the chef to identify the dishes. It turns out we were correct and the waite staff incorrect."

"I made reservations for my cousins birthday online... i noted in the special comments section that this was for a birthday and would love view of the water... Chart House did that and more! Our menus stated "Chart House wishes you a Happy Birthday" with the date printed beneath and gave them to my cousin to take home. The server was knowledgable, the view was spectacular (of the st johns), and the ambiance was more than i could ask for my cousin to have a really memorable experience. I'd recommend this restaurant for any occasion!"

"The best comment I can give is that I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. I've only dined there on a couple of occasions, but the food has always been very good. There are window tables with a view of the river, which can be very romantic in the evenings; yet it is a place you can take your children. The waitress, Marisa, is awesome."

Seemed to cater to last minute business men, instead of taking care of regular customers( and we're Landrys select club members) who had reservations for birthday. "Just to be clear on this review, Chart House had been our favorite location in Jax for 20 plus years but that is no longer the case. My wife worked at Chart years ago and she has loved it since. Our past visits have been memorable and enjoyable, however that started changing last year on Mother's day. It was then we noticed the change. The food was not up to par, the service was not as should be for this type of location. We actually spoke to the manager on Mothers Day 2012 in regards to this. And then, upon a visit this past Easter Sunday 2013, we decide we will no longer return. Service was below par. Our food was no where near perfection. Prime rib had no flavor, was not med rare. Soup was bland and luke warm. Salmon was overcooked."

"We made a reservation for 7:00 and had to wait standing up for another 45 minutes, always with promises that a table would soon be ready. We waited because we knew on a Saturday night we wouldn't have a chance elsewhere. Won't make that mistake again."

"I hadn't been here for years, but my partner's girlfriend was in town so we thought i'd be a blast. And it was. Since I live out in Fruit Cove, it's a ride, but worth it, and we got to show her around downtown. We downloaded the menu so we were ready to order and starved by the time we got there. "My wife & I went to Chart House with my parents after attending show. My parents are long time residents of the area, but had never ben to Chart House. This was the 2nd time for my wife & I. All of us were impressed.
Between us, we sampled a wide range of the menu options : Prime Rib, Stuffed Shrimp, and stuffed flounder. We were all very pleased. The prime rib meals were both outstanding. A great crust and roasted to our specifications. My wife LOVED her shrimp and finished every bite. Finally, my Mom had the flounder and was also knocked over.
The only downside is that if this part of a romantic evening, when you finish, you may be a bit too full for comfort!
I give Chart House a strong recommendation!"

"As usual ..chart house was wonderful. Beautiful view of the river,all the night lights as the sky darkens. Oscar was our server..he did an impecible job. Salad bar is the best Ive ever seen..from caviar to fresh fruits to specialty pasta salads. Main course was superb..stuffed talapia with crab meat and my husband had the grouper. All in ALL...a great experience."

"Great place, good food, this is not my first visit and on both occasions, enjoyed the menu choices. My first visit was a business dinner and the second was a pre-show dinner. In both cases, I was annoyed by the table layout, you can not have a normal conversation, everyone has to speak so loud to overcome the next's table conversation. We had a "loud" lady at the next table, trying to impress her spouse/friend, and it was not pleasant. Made for some funny moments, but not an enjoyable dinner. For sure, the tables layout is part of the problem. Feels very claustrophobic. Lava cake was delicious on the other hand (that was after the loud lady left!!)"

"This is my 2nd year to celebrate my birthday at Chart House. I have visited many Landry restaurants across the U.S. and particularly like the local one here.
One of the best chopped salads on the planet and if you prefer to fix your own there is a salad bar bar. Our party ordered a variety of foods and it all was presented perfectly prepared and timely.
Service was outstanding with a knowledgeable server who answered all our questions. We will be back before my next birthday and look forward to another enjoyable evening."
