"My husband and I had our first date here in 1992 so we try to get back here every year to celebrate. We were seated right away and our waiter asked us what brought us here tonight. When we told him the occasion, he thanked us for coming back to see them. They were so nice to us and made us feel very special. The chef sent out a complimentary appetizer AND a beautiful fruit "soup" for dessert. WOW! The food was delicious and we were not rushed. Great waiter and I feel bad that I can't remember his name but he was friendly, professional and infiormative."

"Came here for a combination Mother's Day & Graduation brunch- the Crab Benedict and Biscuit & Gravy Benedict was absolutely delicious! The bacon wrapped biscuit was alright, but not nearly as good as the other two which was a little bit of a disappointment. I would highly recommend the restaurant again for it's food and ambiance! However, the service was odd. Our waitress was very out of it. She couldn't speak English very well, which is normally fine, but she couldn't even recognize what we ordered until we physically pointed to the item on the menu. We also had to remind her that we ordered an appetizer and drinks because she forgot those too."

"We've walked pst Bridget Foy's dozens of times and finally decided to give it a try for Mother's Day dinner. We arrived about 30 minutes early for an 8 person reservation, they seated us without a problem. Our waiter was with us in no time, he was very personable and knowledgeable about the menu. The chorizo meatballs and cheese plate were the highlight of the appetizers we ordered; the meatballs were golden brown with a mild smokiness and just a bit of spicy heat. The entree selection was perfect for the eclectic group of diners we had, a great deal of contemporary American choices with some Italian and Asian selections mixed in. We were so stuffed from the great dinner that we skipped the enticing desserts. Great beer and wine selection."

"The food here is the best. Took the wife and kids for Mothers Day brunch and we all enjoyed the menu. Service lagged a bit but I'll chalk that up the crowd. It was very crowded so I take that to mean its a well known spot and others agree that the food is great."

"We went for happy hour and had some drinks and bar snacks. The food was okay, not great but the happy hour prices were a good deal. My gin and tonics were extremely weak and tasted like sprite, not tonic. Service was fine. It was pretty quiet for happy hour."

"My friends and I spent the day in Philly for our "Girls Day Out". There were six of us. We went to a show and then had dinner afterwards at Bridget Foy's. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The atmosphere was energetic and fun. The service staff was very friendly and attentive. We sampled many of the appetizers, had some drinks and then split some dinners. Everything was delicious. Definitely have to try the mac and cheese. Best of all, you didn't feel hurried even though it was a Saturday evening and you couldn't beat the prices!"

"This is a standard for my wife and me. The food is good although I think they could offer a few more specials. The menu hasn't really changed for a while. The beer list is pretty good too which i especially like. South Street is busy most of the time and if you don't like that, you wont want to sit outside, but on a nice day, it's hard to beat."

"Easter- as none of the family can agree on a menu- we tend to eat out on holidays- This meal was a great experience from the point of view of the service- they had our table for 7 on the 3rd floor and we had it to ourselves. People could not have been more accomodating despite having to go up all the steps to serve. What was disappointing was the 'special' Easter menu- the staff were not even aware of it and once we got it we were sorry we asked. The entrees were simply not at all inviting.
We enjoyed what we ate from the regular menu and the time spent and we will continue to return to this ' no muss no fuss' place eagerly. I would only suggest just a pinch more inventiveness to holiday menus."

"At a recent get together with friends for lunch, staff was attentive, informative and never rushed us while we caught up for 2 hours in the booth. Two Bite sandwich along with salad and soup were delicious, reasonably priced and season friendly. I'd go back in a minute!"

"The first time we went to Brideget Foy's, my husband and I went with 2 other couples and all of our kids (6 adults, 8 kids in all). We had a blast. The kids had fun and we enjoyed our complimentary bottle of wine!!! My husband and I decided to go back again on Valentine's Day and try their 4 course Valentine's Menu. Once again, we were very happy with the food, service and ambiance."

"Mac n cheese was amazing. Restaurant week was worth it for the most-part at $35 per person. Pistachio encrusted salmon was cooked perfectly, and the salted caramel cheesecake was a great way to finish the meal."

"We went for Restaurant Week and were not disappointed! Their special menu gave us a variety of choices, the serving sizes were very generous and the staff were friendly and helpful. The fresh cut flowers on our table were a lovely touch and very much appreciated. Well worth the trip - and we can't wait to go back!"

"This was our first visit and everything was good. The service, including the Host and Server, were excellent; friendly and attentive. The restaurant wasn't crowded (Wednesday evening) so we certainly were not rushed but also not ignored. The food was good. Appetizers included a salad, soup and lamb meatballs; all tasty. Entrees included the filet, lobster pappardelle and pistachio crusted salmon. Desserts included chocolate mousse, apple empanada and cheesecake. Nothing was disappointing but nothing was spectacular either. It's definitely a place to get a good meal at a reasonable price and a place worth going back to; just not what I consider a "special" place."

"Pistachio crusted salmon was great, but both the lamb meatball appetizer and the mousse cake dessert were a bit disappointing. The meatballs were dry and the mousse was so sugary that it lost its chocolate flavor. Service was great, atmosphere pleasant."

"Great food, good atmosphere and friendly service. I like to sit at the bar and eat and almost always see someone from the neighborhood. The rotating beer taps always have something perfect to go with whatever I choose to eat. (the harvest salad and Duck/barley soup are perfect with a nice IPA.) All in all, a very nice place to have in my 'hood."

"Understanding it was an above average night as far as customers: We had to wait awhile (20 minutes?) at the bar despite having a reservation, not a big deal but a bit annoying. Same with our waitress, stretched a bit too thin.
Food and beer selections were good, nice staff despite the issues."

"we dined at bridget foys last thursday for restaurant week and it was thouroughly delightful. the place was bustling, and had a nice neiborhoody feel to it. the starter, aracini balls, were delicious and not too heavy, and the wild mushrooms were a nice and welcomed twist to the typical risotto ball. next was the apps course... HARVEST SALAD rocks ! main dishes were tasty (filet, perfectly cooked),and lamb shank was delicious and had a nice presentation. our server was friendly, knowledgable, and efficient. oh, and dont miss dessert !i will dream of that salted caramel cheesecake for weeks to come. great service, great food, awesome value and a welcoming environment. thanks !"

"I've come here 6-7 times. I always try something different and the food is always delicious. They serve a lot of locally grown fresh food. Some items change seasonally and some staples (burgers and delicious fries) stay the same. They have a rewards program that you should sign up for b/c you get a $25 credit on your birthday. I came here for restaurant week and it didn't disappoint (+including a cocktail in the prix-fix is always a plus)."
