"My experience at Sullivan's steak house was wonderful. The staff was very accommodating and helpful when making our food selections. I would definitely go back here again. There were 10 of us out for a business dinner. We were put in a private room which made conversation very easy to hear and share with each other. Overall great experience."

"We had a good experience here, but the waiter got a little busy and did not give us the kind of service we have enjoyed in the past.
Steaks were good, but they were not as good a quality as we have had at a good steak restaurant. Not the smoothest texture, but tasty. overall, it was a 3.5/5.0. Not sure I would go back. Too many great places to go in Chicago."

"I had a group of 11 that arrived at the restaurant at 7:45pm and left at 10:15pm. It took 45 minutes to get bread at the table. It took 1 hr and 30 mins to get our food. The server was too preoccupied to take of our group. He constantly referred requests to his "assistant." When it was time to get our checks, the waiter said it would take 15 minutes to provide individual checks. The reason was the waiter did not keep him order sheet in proper order to know who got what. The food was great when you got it but the service left more to be desired. Use caution with a large group."

"Celebrated a friend's bachelor party here. Service was outstanding from the moment we arrived. Waiter even made sure that he got us in and out in time to get to our other plans for the evening. Food was top quality. Succulent scallops wrapped in bacon, spicy and perfectly done calamari, and oysters made for an amazing start to our meal. If they offer it, the dry-aged tomahawk cut rib-eye is perfection and comes highly recommended. They even correctly made us Moscow Mules. This was my second trip here and I'll definitely plan a third, a fourth, etc... They have definitely found a life-long customer in me after two excellent showings."

"Sullivan's definitely provided what I was looking for. A great atmosphere for an important business meeting. We had a table for 5. The table was actually big enough to sit 5 comfortably. I really appreciated that. The place is well decorated. They have a good selection of wine. Food was GREAT. Service was also good. I definitely recommend this restaurant

1) Our server was a little too pushy on up-selling. Even though I appreciated his recommendations I though he was overdoing it.
2) We drank the first bottle of wine before we had our dinner. I told the server that we'll decide on the next bottle later. He asked me 3-4 times whether I made a decision. It felt like he was rushing/ pushing me to drink more"

"I was really shocked at the less than impressive aged NY strip. Also our creme brûlée was super overdone.
Everything else was amazing. But we were disappointed in the steak, it is a steak house. Worse, this is the 2nd time we have been disappointed. Don't think we need a threepeat, chicago has much more to chose from."

"It's been a few years since I've been to Sullivan's, but unfortunately the restaurant just isn't what it use to be. The service was great! The food sides-dishes were great, but the steaks were a huge let down. Most of our steaks were over cooked and dry. A couple of them were OK, but the inconsistency is simply inexcusable when we all ordered medium or medium-well and ended up with mostly very well done. Some of us ordered the trio-steaks and each steak was cooked differently. When you're paying $600 for a steak dinner it should be perfect! This wasn't! so kudos to the service staff, but I'm not returning back to this restaurant."

"My husband and I went to Sullivan's for our anniversary, and it was perfect. The steak was amazing- best New York Strip ever! Our server was fantastic, and made great recommendations. The jazz was a very nice backdrop but not too loud. We do not agree with the reviews that said the restaurant was too loud. The restaurant is beautiful, modern, and romantic. We were very happy!"

"Very happy that we decided to eat here. Had been to the Ruth's Chris across the street the night before, but found this place better (though maybe a little more expensive). The staff was excellent and very open to having our kids decide what they wanted to eat, the 'manager' even comp'ed the kids desserts, which was completely unexpected. The wine list was considerable, and the waiter was very helpful helping us make our decisions."

"We have dined at this facility many times in the past. We (party of six) were not seated in the server's area that we had requested and been assured we would have. Our server had a very soft voice which was hard to hear in the VERY loud dining room. She confused our order from the outset and we did not see her from the time she took our order until the table was cleared. We were missing a side order of potatoes - notified the servers delivering the entrees (our server was not among the group) - still no potatoes. After the server we had requested stopped by to say hi, we told him of the potato issue and they appeared as the table was being cleared. A person I assume was a manager stopped by and served us a round of port and "comped" desert"

"I would probably go back to this restaurant again, our meal was lovely, just as I would hope, every bite delicious and our Waitress, Kasey ( sorry if I spell your name wrong) was exceptional. One of the best waitresses ever! And we loved our big luxurious booth....but otherwise the dining room is nice, just maybe could use a tad more character ( I love design and work in a related industry, so ambiance and the room are important when I'm dropping a major dime!) The bar looked fun, tho not my cup of tea, ha, but the music that night was simply annoying. Not the usual jazz I'm told. The duo sang every old worn out song the same as the last, we decided to have our nightcap elsewhere...but great restaurant overall! Love the lemon martinis! YUM!"
