"As always, the steaks here are very good and the service - by Anna - was terrific. BUT - three issues kept me from giving Sullivans a hgher rating. (1) the paper/cardboard menus were ripped and dirty. This is NOT what you would expect from a place like Sullivans... we have eaten here before and we have always received hard "leather' like bound menus. In fact, the hostess said to us. 'here are the lunch menus'... but we were there for dinner. Hmmm.... (2) In the ladies room the towel dispenser was out of towels, but on the counter was dropped a bundle of paper towels - in the torn brown wrapper. (3) our complimentary desert for the birthday information was not given to our server - but Anna did remove it from the bill."

All this and you are also in Downtown Naperville, which has plenty to offer as well...The Riverwalk, Shopping and Bars."

"The food was good, but we were seated next to a large family birthday party for a six year old. They were very loud and based on the number of staff stopping by, very familiar to the restaurant Unfortunately it spoiled our evening as it was more like going to a more casual restaurant than I would have like. I would probably not go back. For a long time."

"Our recent visit was a disappointing experience. The wait staff was friendly but inexperienced and inefficient. They crammed everyone in one section of the restaurant placing us at a table by the kitchen and in between 2 tables with high chairs that were poorly placed casing the wait staff to keep bumping into my husband. The restaurant was not even 1/3 full. There was no reason for that. The food was ok, but quite frankly you can grill better steaks at home from Costco than we had here. They were noting special and not particularly warm we got them. For the prices charged food and service should be impeccable and it was not. We will not return."

"Was not my idea of a brunch.. Got a call on Friday to confirm my reservation and was informed it was a limited Brunch Menu and a full Diner Menu. OKAY so on a Friday before mothers day try to find an opening elsewhere. We were seated after about a 10 min. we were presented with the Brunch Menu card. I was told that the Chef could do mine without the mushrooms in the omlette and my wife ordered scrambled eggs soft Food arrived 60 minutes later COLD with mushrooms and overcooked scrambled eggs no toast and uncooked english muffin."

"Mixed review from latest vist. Service was friendly and courteous but food was cold. Secondly they did not serve kids first. We waited for 20 min for meal. Kitchen and floor are not coordinated. Either kitchen did not prep or over prepped. Bacon was so over cooked is crumbled. Eggs Benedict were cold. Potatoes cold. How hard is breakfast. Seems like kitchen is setting up waiters and waitresses for failure. Cute tricks like hot plate and cold food.need to put someone in place ASAP that checks every single plate AND food for proper temp. We had this happen to our steaks 6 months ago n a Friday night. Surprised this is still happening."

"We had a party of 12 for Mother's Day. Our reservation was for 1:45. The hostess, who seemed very passé, didn't seat us until 2:30. We had 2 waiters. They took our orders immediately and we were given drinks, bread and our salads in a reasonable amount of time. However, our main meals were not served until 4:10. Completely unacceptable. Two of our guests had their steaks cooked incorrectly but they were afraid to send them back for fear of waiting another hour to get them back. The food was very disappointing. The waitress kept apologizing for the wait, however we were not comped for anything, not even a drink. And when she gave us the checks, they were incorrect. The consensus of our group is that none of us will ever return."

"Sullivan's is absolutly amazing. I have been to Eddie Merlot's, Gibson, Hugo, Catch 35, Maggiano's, Rosebud and Morton's. All of these restaurants should aspire to be as amazing as Sullivan's. Oysters Rockerfella, Calamari, Lamb Chops, Sea Bass and Coconut Cream Pie are a few of the best dishes on the menu. When it comes to service, you can't ask for a better restaurant. You never want for anything nor do you ever have to ask. The team at Sullivans - hostess, busser, server, chef's and managers work in sync like an orcherstra.

"Had reservations for 7:15 and in Sullivan style was seated at 7:50 -Our booth was next to the ailse by the kitchen - a table of 6 was right next to the aisle which caused the aisle to be extremely narrow. Our waitress Courtney was constantly being bumped and interrrupted by other Sulllivan employees trying to get past her. This was extremely annoying and NOT was you would expect from Sullivans.
Suggest Hugo's or Catch 35 if you want a better experience"

"Sullivan's is the best steakhouse we've found in the Naperville area. The wedge salads are amazing with fresh delicious chunks blue cheese. The New York cut was cooked to perfection and the peppercorn bourbon sauce sealed the deal for an amazing dinner. Since it was our anniversary, we were kindly given a complimentary dessert; We chose the creme brûlée and were not disappointed."

"Our adult son's bday celebration. The food was very good. All four of us were pleased with our meal. Unfortunately, the service was so poor, it overshadowed our experience. We had a 730pm reservation, and didn't get salads until 915! Only feedback from Hostess on delay in being seated (that occurred at 810pm) was "sorry, we're very busy tonight". If you do the math, it then took over an hour to get our salads. As someone who travels and eats out often, no reason to select Sullivan's again over other fine dining restaurants in the suburbs."

"Once again, Sullivan's exceeded our expectations. While we had to wait longer than our 8:15 reservation, the steak. white cheddar potatoes and chocolate cake were incredible. The team of servers in the area we sat in were very attentive and provided great service. We will definitely be going back to Sullivan's in the future."

"We were celebrating our anniversary. Our server, Cristal, took our picture and brought us the photo in a folder signed by many staff. She had even added a quote from me. It was a great touch and I was upset when I realized that I had left the picture on the table when we left. I called the restaurant they were friendly and understanding. I was able to pick up the phoo the next day. What a great night thanks to Sullivan's."

"We chose Sullivan's for dinner to celebrate our 18th wedding anniversary. The food was excellent, but what was more important, and what we remember the most was how we were treated by the staff. Our server was Beth: Best. Server. Ever. She was attentive, friendly, respectful of our celebration and above all, did everything possible to make our visit memorable. Also, when Caroline was coming over to take our drink order, she recognized that we were sharing a quiet moment and waited until that had been completed."

"We picked this spot to celebrate my son's Birthday, it wa a good choice, he loves steaks, service was outstanding and the food was very good, the calamari were to die for, the steaks were juicy and tender, but i would have skipped the butter sauce too overwhelming.

"Went to celebrate my 45th birthday with my husband. Drinks were fantastic! Loved the knockout. Food was okay, nothing to rave about but perhaps that had to do with our service. Our waiter never gave us a wine menu or told us the specials. I watched servers all around us do this for their customers. It took forever for our appetizers and salads. Start to finish it took 2 hours, which would have been fine except we felt we were always either waiting for food or for another drink. Water was refilled regularly so that was a plus. The food was fine but I think due to the poor service of our waiter it diminished what would have been a good meal to a fair meal. Not the kind of experience I expect to have at a very expensive restaurant."

"The food, drinks, service and decor of the restaurant was excellent. Our waitress was very pleasant and she explained the specials and knew the menu when asked about different items. She did not rush us through the different courses and we were greeted by the manager. We had a bad experience many years ago and finally decided to return…. We should have returned a lot sooner than we did. We will defiantly be returning."
