Lindey's is a high-energy, white tablecloth restaurant serving the finest American cuisine in an upper east side New York bistro setting. The design incorporates original artwork, bentwood chairs, polished brass railings and hardwood floors. With its exciting, theater-like atmosphere, Lindey's has three dining rooms, private party rooms and an outdoor terrace and courtyard. Lindey's has been voted one of Columbus' "Top Ten" restaurants 18 years in a row, and has been featured in the Washington Post, USA Today, the New York Times and Gourmet Magazine.

"It was our first anniversary and we got the quietest table in the restaurant. They put a candle on our table and included a candle in dessert. As always, the service was wonderful!"

"Overall, my husband and I enjoyed our dinner at Lindey's. I had mushroom ravioli and he had Fillet Mignon...both dishes were very good. The restaurant was low to moderately busy and was pretty quite and comfortable. Our server was prompt and friendly. The only service complaint that we had was, my husband was offered the wine he ordered when his fillet was more then halfway gone... by then he did not want it anymore. Also, when I called to see if I could push back our reservation a bit the hostess was clearly irritated. At the restaurant the hostess was very cold and ambivalent. Despite a few minor service flaws, it was a nice experience and one that we would do again."

"Lindey's is a wonderful, warm, environment with excellent food. Recently, I returned there with a small group of business partners for dinner. Everyone enjoyed the selections with the scallops and brussel sprouts being the 'winner' at our table. Service was excellent as well and wine selection was good. I will definitely be back next time I am in town."

"Lindey's brunch is always a special treat. Date had the Eggs Lindey's (eggs benedict with filet). I had the crab cake, over potatoes with soft fried egg and hollandaise. You just can't go wrong. Creme brule dessert was good, but I would prefer it to be served with fruit, instead of a cold cookie that was not warm like promised on the menu. We will be back, we love Lindey's."

"Lindey's was wonderful--my fiance and I chose it to celebrate a late Valentine's dinner and it was a perfect setting. The valet parking was great, as we are from out of town and didn't know where to park. The waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable and gave good wine recommendations. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was romantic and for such a nice restaurant it was not as expensive as I expected! I would highly recommend Lindey's to anyone looking for a fancy dinner or romantic evening out."

"Dinner was excellent. The mussels were flavorful and tender. My filet was tender and tasty and my partners scallops were delicious. Charles W. was a stellar waiter and very handsome. Even the GM stopped by to make sure everything was ok and he was very nice. We will be back very soon."

"We were there for Valentines Day-perfect in every way. We couldn't have made a better

"OK, so white tablecloths and waiters with white shirts and ties and a comprehensive and expert wait staff that is friendly, not flippant (as in, "Hi, Guys!"), may not be "in" any longer, but they sure make a big difference to us. With all that AND great food, Lindey's is a wonderful and fulfilling experience. I recall that there used be lots of nice restaurants like Lindey's around, but they are nearly all gone now. Too bad. Thank goodness Lindey's is carrying on the tradition. BTW: on our last visit, there was a very nice and eclectic mix of customers dining: young and old and everywhere in between, all nicely dressed and seemingly polite and well-mannered, no backwards baseball caps or shabby blue jeans!"

"We had a wonderful brunch/birthday celebration at Lindey's. In the heart of German Village, the restaurant is warm and inviting. The staff is attentive and the food was wonderful (hint for brunch try the Croque Madame...tasty and filling. "The food at Lindey's is always prepared imaginatively, delicious, and offered in portions that are not excessive but that satisfy a hardy appetite. The bread is GREAT - seeded flat bread is their specialty.

We always look forward to going there for brunch on Saturday or Sunday and to eat out on the patio in warmer weather is a relaxing, soothing, magical occasion. We never have the feeling that we have overstayed our reservation. Service is excellent."

"This was our first visit to Lindey's. The food was very good. The house salad & the ceasar were nothing special. However, the portobello ravioli, filet mignon were outstanding! The wine list was great and the desserts were fabulous. One person at our table had the prix fix with the 3 samplers, one had choclate moton cake, and one had bananas foster, all of which got great remarks. We will definitely be back. It was a busy night and the service was a little slow in regards to getting drink refills."

"Overall the food was excellent. The butternut squash bisque was outstanding while the baby spinach salad was average. Entrees were again excellent. I had the duck while my wife had the beef, both were prepared well. Desserts were good but inconsistent in that my creme brulee' has not set and was runny. The wine we chose was excellent. Overall a good experience that will prompt our return."

"I had the Pecan crusted chicken salad. The lettuce and dressing were excellent, but I felt the chicken was a bit of a disappointment. The chicken was extremely thin and the breading somewhat greasy. The bread was wonderful, tho', and the hazelnut dessert was too."

"We have been to Lindey's before but decided to try it again because of the Restaurant week special 3 course special. We were pleasantly surprised! My husband got the duck, I got the steak. My steak was perfectly cooked (med well- which can be tricky). I asked our server Eric about the appetizer and he recommended the fish tacos which were perfectly spiced, nice presentation and very tasty. We were pleased with the pacing of service and food amounts. I know we will be back again."

"The restaurant and food were fantastic. The fillet was done to perfection! The scallops were also fantastic.

I was a bit surprised when we made the reservation via open table, the only open spot was indicated at 5:15 pm (we would have preferred 5:45 pm) However, when we went to the restaurant it was essentially vacant at that time and didn't begin to fill up until around 6:30-6:45 pm. It was frustrating to realize that we probably could have found a table at our preferred time had we just called the restaurant instead of using the open table web booking."

"The evening we went to Lindey's, we sat in the back room. The noise level from several large groups of people was so loud that not only could we not have a conversation, but our server had to shout the specials to us and get close to us to hear our order. Several tables were actually shouting across their tables at each other and "hooting and hollering." This was such an unpleasant experience. It also ruined our attempt to dine with a friend and catch up with what we had all be doing for the past 6 months. Our server was very good, but we got the impression that there was nothing she could do to help us out on this noise problem. We were surprised management did not ask the other diners to keep a bit quieter."

"Food was good as always but service was less efficient than normal. We waited at least 20 minutes after ordering dessert, including drinks and coffee. Twenty minutes for coffee to arrive!

We were at the larger round table near the pass-through to the rest of the restaurant and next to another round table. Had to keep maneuvering chairs with the adjacent table [it turned over twice]to accommodate everyone."

"Had another wonderful dinner at Lindey's. I had the scallops which were supurb as was the wedge salad. Our table also shared the infamous post mortem dessert which is always a very special treat. "Our meal was outstanding and the service was impeccable. Our waiter was friendly, professional and provided very good customer service. I would certainly ask for him again.

We had requested a corner table in a quiet place initially through Open Table. The table was nice and in a little alcove. It was also in a high traffic area. We asked our waitress if we could move to a quiter table. She was very accommodating to our request and was able to find us a table in a better location for us. Havng dinner in a different location definitely added to our dining experience.

It had been several years since we had been to Lindeys. We will try not to stay away so long next time."

"We just had another outstanding meal at Lindey's. This is the first year that we have gone out for Thanksgiving dinner instead of having a big family gathering at home. "Lindeys has a feel good, welcoming ambiance that lends itself to anykind of a gathering. We attended an engagement party on a summer evening upstairs, it was very romantic. Friends have had high school reunions there; everyone enjoys being at Lindeys. The food is competently prepared and presented and doesn't disappoint. We had a lovely post Thanksgiving dinner with family and everyone was very pleased."

"We were seated in the middle room all by ourselfs and felt we were forgoten. They were not busy. Too much time between courses so desert was not ordered. The food was very good but the temperature was lukewarm. My seat mate had the steak and it was cooked just like it was ordered. Only received one refil of my coffee, but another waitstaff did refill our water."

"We went on a Sunday evening. There weren't very many customers. There seemed to be an adequate amount of servers. Our experience was NOT good. It took 10 minutes before we were served water. After the water arrived, the bread came 5 minutes later. My husband was not givena a bread plate. My husband ordered prime rib medium rare; it was served rare. I substituted spinach for my potatoes, but I was served potatoes. When my spinach order was "corrected" some of the spinach came back uncooked. When the server came by near the end of our meal, her cell phone went off at our table.
I've been to Lindeys before and have had good experiences, but this one was not good."

"Lindey's did not disappoint. Food was excellent and the atmosphere inviting. There are not many places that you can enjoy a glass of wine and a good meal while relaxing. The lack of music that was too loud and energetic was greatly appreciated."

"Lindey's used to be one of our favorite resturants, hence the reason we went for our Anniversary. Unfortunately, our experience this time was much less enjoyable than anticipated. The food was just fair, the salads and entrees were very bland. The only saving grace was the dessert- the post mortem, which was divine as usual. Our table was supposed to be one that they reserve for anniversary's or special occasions. It was in a corner between two rooms and seemed to be the "forgotten table". Servers whizzed by and diners seemed to just stare as they passed our little table in the alcove. Our waiter was either very new or just too busy to check on us often which added to the frustration. Overall, I would say that we will not be back again."

"I met for a networking lunch with Cameron James and had a fabulous salmon salad. The service was extraordinary and the experience tremendous. It's not the first time I dined at Lindey's. It is definitely one of my favorite Columbus restaurants."
