Andaluca, located in downtown Seattle, is a nationally recognized culinary oasis. Resonating with the romance of the Mediterranean, its food and design have been a winning combination since 1996. Throughout the handsome space, mahogany mill work, hand painted murals and plush, deep-toned fabrics work together to conjure up a sun-baked Mediterranean grotto. Begin your meal at Andaluca with a selection from an array of tapas-inspired sharable plates and pintxos. One of the hottest restaurants in downtown Seattle, Andaluca features fresh seasonal Northwest foods influenced by the flavors of the Mediterranean. Chef Wayne Johnson combines strong and aromatic tastes that complement, rather than overpower.
"I had not been here for many years, but remembered it was good in the past and took some out of town friends. Loved it. The service was wonderful, all the food we had was great, and the atmosphere was cozy and warm. I will definitely be going back."

"All the staff were friendly and attentive. Our waiter made good food and wine recommendations. He worked hard to make sure we had a good time. It was comfortable and the low noise level allowed my group to have a good visit."

"Great dining experience. The staff attentive and friendly. The food pleasing to the eye as well as the palate. So many enticing menu offerings we will have to return soon. May become one of our favs for downtown Seattle."

"I have gone to Andaluca a lot through the years, it used to be my favorite place. Not any more. The new head chef Sarah has failed to keep up with times. I have been going there for six years and although the staples pretty much remained the same they used to do more seasonal dishes. The small bites have not changed in the last 3 years, not only that, they are not as good any more. I would recomend sitting at their bar and having a drink and maybe trying a couple light bites. Such as The scallops or potatoe croquett. But beyond that Seattle has far to many other Fantastic restaurants to make Andaluca your one stop for the night."

"We had a terrific dining experience at Andalusia. The food was excellent...both well prepared and presented. The service was also exceptional, providing good information about the food and wine list and being appropriately attentive.
This was our first time at the restaurant and will definitely return."

"Delicious food prepared in accord with special requests. Generous servings with hot food served hot. Good timing based on our needs. It was a quiet night and I expect the noise level rises to moderate when the place is full. The service - from the beginning until the end - was responsive and not invasive. The place was wonderful for a long visit with a friend, would be good for a romantic dinner. The menu and ambiance are such that I wouldn't want to bring young children here. Older children with sophisticated food experience would probably be just fine!"

"The food was delicious here - excellent lamb meatballs I am still raving about! Enjoyed the North African touch. Very good Paella - not always a guarantee at any Spanish restaurant. Charming waiter and decent wine list. Cozy booth, decor a little out of date but the food made up for it. Validated parking always a plus!"

"Excellent, tasty food. Lots of small plates, so it's easy to make a meal out of two or three of them. Three of us ordered a salad plus a protein dish and that filled us up. One had the pork chop entrée. Everything was very tasty. The lamb meatballs were especially good."

"Andaluca is a charming Spanish restaurant tucked into the Mayflower Hotel building with an entrance on Olive. The food is first rate, including an excellent gluten-free menu. We enjoyed the sangria, the Spanish red wines, clams and chorizo with pasta, and beet risotto. The beet salad was divine, as were the two desserts, an almond cake and a molten chocolate cake which was also gluten-free. The staff is knowledgeable and unobtrusive, yet pleasant and attentive. The setting is romantic and intimate without being too dark to read the menu. We celebrated a friend's birthday, and this was the perfect place in which to enjoy conversation and good food. We will definitely be coming back."

"We went to Andaluca for our monthly date night and enjoyed our experience greatly! I had the mahi-mahi and roasted carrot and avocado salad and LOVED it. My husband had the paella. It was good, but we both agreed that the mahi mahi was even better. It was a cute romantic spot. Service was warm and helpful. Bonus that they have complimentary parking (which we didn't realize till after we parked). Service was great. We would really recommend for anyone looking for a nice spot for a date night."

"We were seated promptly, had a very attentive wait staff. We both had the specials of the day, (mussels over Moroccan chickpeas, and herb-crusted tenderloin wrapped in grape leaves, both of which were very good. Wine selection ranged toward the pricey."

"Appetizers were very good. My spouses pasta meal more than met expectations however my Andaluca Paella was very overcooked and not acceptable. The creme brule came with grapefruit & other fruit on top which was just bizzare & it tasted like day old vanilla pudding. Must say the worst I have ever had. At no time did our waiter ask us how our meal was although she did spent quite a bit of time chatting with us. We waited to give feedback directly but did not get the chance. We would not recommend this restaurant given the range of alternatives."

"The food is good, but the best thing about Andaluca is the service and ambiance, which are excellent. I don't feel like I need to have any of the items we ordered for dinner again (apps: scallops, kale; entrees: pork chop, mahi, strange burnt brussel sprouts), except perhaps the kale and the chocolate desert. They were all fine but not compelling. On another visit here I had extremely good mussels though."

"Food was outstanding, I got the quail and the paella, my wife got the beet risotto. Waiter was average at best, slow service and not that professional, does not belong in a restaurant of that price range. I will definitely go backs for the food though hoping the waiter was a fluke."

"This was my 3rd or 4th time at Andaluca, and it was kind of disappointing. The food was just....ok. Tenderloin skewers had no seasoning and VERY little blue cheese sauce on them. And since there was no salt or pepper on the table--they remained tasteless. If you're not going to put salt & pepper on the table, that's a huge fail. Our server was great and our cucumber/cava martinis were the highlight of the meal. Too bad."

"Our first visit was great. The food was good. However, I ordered a roasted carrot and avocado salad but did not taste any carrot or avocado. There were little bits of something that looked like a carrot but no avocado and too many greens. Overall, service was excellent. Cocktails were perfection. We will definitely return."
