"We enjoyed a romantic dinner at Andaluca for a special occasion. The wine list had many great options - we went with a nice Rioja that the waiter recommended,which went well with the dishes we chose. The hummus that came with the tasty bread was a nice touch. We tried the cauliflower au gratin, which was fabulous. The potato croquettes were very good, and the spicy calamari bruschetta was excellent. A very nice dining experience. We will definitely return to Andaluca next time we are in Seattle."

"We dined for Dine Around $30 and this menu was exquisite. The appetizer, three small plates for the center course and a delightful array of dessert choices made this satisfying on all senses. "They were good to manuever around my food allergies (no wheat/gluten). Could have explained that the appetiser I was ordering came with bread, as I didn't understand that. Could have served it with sliced cucumbers. Very small serving, no more than an ounce of cheese and a scant tablespoon of compote. Rest of portions, just fine. Crab tower excellent. Ckn skewer, very good, a bit spicy. Mushroon risoto, perfectly cooked, though had only one chunk of goat cheese in it. Chocolate liquid cake, perfectly complimented with cinnamon ice cream."

"We haven't been there in a long time and we're pleased to see the small plate menu. We will be back soon and plan to take our friends and neighbors. It is the same great chef but it feels new and fresh. When you finish shopping or pre-movie head over. The service is exceptionally accomodating too."

"It was quite an disappointing experience! I had the Tour of the Mediterranean dinner which included a salad, choice of three pintxos and a dessert. The pear salad was on the salty side and barely had any stilton cheese on it. The three pintxos - cauliflower au gratin was way too sweet, mini crab tower tasted like salsa, mini paella was extremely liquidy and mainly came with diced carrots and a few peas and a grilled shrimp on the side. The traditional spanish flan was a definitely a light version. Nothing was spanish or mediterranean at all!"

"Some of the best service I've had a restaurant in Seattle. I really appreciated that the server inquired as to whether we had plans for the evening and thus what time we needed to finish dinner. He completely succeeded in having us out at the time we requested. He was also very helpful with transportation ideas! The food was of course excellent too. Loved the prix fixe menu!"

"Andaluca always provides outstanding service paired with great food. Those are the two essentials for any restaurant. This past visit my guest ordered the lamb burger while I had the chicken sausage sandwich...both were perfectly done. It was a tough choice because they were also offering a 3-course lunch for only $18 that would have been a tremendous bargin. But, we had some time constraints and were already running a little late so we had to pass on this offering. To top off this great location they also offer "FREE" valet parking through the Mayflower Park Hotal...which is also an outstanding gem of a location.

I have never had anything I didn't enjoy from their menu. I'll be back..."

"This was my first time to Andaluca, I was looking for a Lunch date setting downtown and learned of the restaurant via an internet search. While Andaluca received great reviews, it was the fact that they offered complimentary valet service (convenient and free parking down town) that confirmed my choice. "too MUCH WINE not enough dine, I like good food and good service, drinks should not flavor the meal to fake brilliance. Was expecting more. Sent an e-mail to the restaurant regarding a minor in the party and the best Non-alcohol drink they came up with was cranberry juice?

"The food at Andaluca was excellent. My wife and I came here on our first visit to Seattle. The waiter was polite and attentive but not annoying. The tomato soup and the pear salad were excellent. For dinner my wife and I pick small plates of beer, chicken, paella, crab cake, cauliflower and potato cake. All were perfectly portioned, well-cooked and flavorful in their own ways. The beef skewer in particular stood out and being very good. The panna cotta and chocolate mousse for desert were excellent as well."

"We had 10 different pintxos and there were three that were foodie level. The roasted mussels, broken egg papa frites,and the stuffed chorizo dates were notable. The un paella was terrible:I couldn't finish it: overcooked shrimp, too much harissa for my taste. The gala apple salad was a dance of earthy roasted nuts, rich goat cheese, a vinegrette with just the right acid. The other pintxos did not live up to the descriptions. Having said that, I was the foodie in the group. Everyone else loved their bites (except the paella...unanimously disliked). The service was great, warm and attentive, but not "too". I need to give a BIG shout out to the Gluten Free menu, even dessert!"

"I reserved a table for my husband's birthday celebration. The waiter brought us each a complementary glass of sparkling wine to start - nice touch! The service was excellent. I asked for a couple of small modifications to my order (vs. the menu description.) The waiter acted as though it was no big deal. As always, the ambiance was cozy and romantic. The food was delicious! My husband felt thoroughly pampered. It made a great birthday celebration!"

"Three of us enjoyed the 30 for $30 three-course menu offered in November, very satisfying with appetizer, choice of three pinxtos to make up the entree, and dessert. The chocolate molten cake with chestnut cream was divine. My husband enjoyed the dolmas and the bacon-wrapped pheasant as his entree since he is not a dessert lover."

"The restaurant located in the Mayflower Hotel across from the downtown Seattle Macy's is a small intimate venue. It has consistently been one of my favorite choices for a dinner with a few close friends where we can dine and converse in a nice setting. The food is always fantastic and the service is impeccable."

"We love ordering a number of items from the Pintxos menu. Chef Wayne's pumpkin risotto is consistently delicious and we also enjoyed un paella, as well as a couple of skewers - the chicken skewer with aioli being our fave. We appreciate the variety of wines by the glass as well as half bottles. Andaluca is a restaurant we recommend without hesitation."

"Wonderful service with extra attention to me while I was waiting for my daughter and when the waiter knew we needed gluten free menus he brought me several different kinds of spiced olives instead of bread. Food was oooh so good with extensive gluten free choices. To top it off we received 15% discount for seeing White Christmas that night at 5th AVE! Can't wait to take my husband and go back."

"We went for lunch on the November Dine Around program.

The appetizer and entree were delicious. We both started with generous servings of sweet, perfectly cooked mussels.

The ample serving of mussels did not prepare me for the tiny "Pintxo" to follow. It consisted of a duck cake and a halibut skewer, which was tasty but tiny (less that 1.5 ounces of halibut). My dining partner chose the beef skewer which was a more generous serving.

For dessert we shared a rich chocolate dessert and a lemon curd pavlova--another surprise. Rather than a light meringue topped with lemon curd, we were presented with a small, soggy disk filled with a teaspoon or two of lemon curd. The tiny berries on top were tasty.

Service was excellent."

"Very nice restaurant. Loved the $30 prix fixe meal. Didn't know they offered that when we made our reservation, but it was fun to have a variety of dishes. The kitchen was very accommodating to my allergies. Service was some of the best we have had in a long time. Great evening and we will return."

Hummus, good.
Everything else, luke warm food, had a feel to it like everything was pre-cooked just waited to be warmed through which was evident from the almost instant arrival of items we ordered.

"We went to Andaluca for lunch during the November "30 for 30" promotion. Although we have never been there before, all four of us had a very enjoyable dining experience. The 'feel' of the place was classy but unpretentious. The pintxo servings were well sized and the appetizers were larger than we had anticipated. Not complaining - especially the mussels, which were to die for. We all want to return and try other menu choices; I guess that is why this promotion is so successful. I also want to mention the service, which was not intrusive but immediately available when we wanted something. Thank you all for a great dining experience."
