"Although the menu and wine list are outstanding, our most recent service experience at Sullivan's was exceptional. Our server Matthew took the time to explain the menu and preparations to a first-time diner, reminded me of my wine selection from a recent visit, and kept things moving along at a quick but comfortable pace when informed of a commitment later in the evening.
Matthew only works Saturday, and I'll definitely return again on a Saturday and ask to be seated in his section."

"My family and I were In the Denver area for only one night after being in the springs area for several days.. We had decided we wanted to eat a nice steak in the heart of downtown Denver before we left.. Got online and looked at several local steak houses ,after narrowing our choices fro 8 down to 3 a few things stood out. Close to parking ,ballpark crowd and nightlife was great and oh yes we phoned a friend ,who's daughter lives in Denver and highly recommended Sullivan so it all worked out great."

"Had recieved a gift card from a friend so decided to check it out. Went on a Sunday so plenty of parking available for an early dinner. We both tried the 3 course meal with ample choices for each. The apps were amazing (calamari & egg roll), the salad was fresh and the main course choices of Steak and Fish were outstanding. The wait staff was extremely friendly and had impecible timing. The wine list seemed decent, but settled on house cab which was very nice. The bar area and outdoor patio seemed comfortable, and even with a loud group in the bar, the noise didn't carry over into the dining room."

"We had been to Sullivan's during 5280 week and had a fabulous experience. We decided to return for my birthday and were looking forward to it. They honored our seating request and the evening started off well with the "Knockout" martini. Then, it went downhill. The bread was doughy two out of three times (completely raw at bottom). The steaks and sides were over seasoned. I love salt and usually add more to steak and these were too salty for me. Server said they are usually heavy handed and next time we should ask for less salt. There were long delays between courses even though we were dining at a later hour. A manager had to run our card without us even seeing a bill first. Overall, not the romantic evening I was hoping for."

"This was my first visit to Sullivan's. I have driven by it from and to work many times and thought it would be a nice place to try. I am glad that I finally did. Your food was outstanding and the service was likewise. My only dissapointment was that I thought there was a piano playing in the dining room. The band in the bar was great but it would be great to listen to soft piano while dining. I do not know of any dining room that has that at this time so maybe you could be a 'first'. Thank you for the adventure and I hope to visit Sullivan's again."

"My wife and I had never been to Sullivan's downtown and we are on a tight budget. She found a coupon somehow and we decided to try it out. We both tried their $39 per person appetizer, entree and salad. Calamari is one of our favorite appetizers and we were delighted with the slightly spicy and sweet flavor of the sauce and the presentation was very nice. The Ceasar salad is for lovers of a natural ceasar sauce - delicious. We had a glass of wine from the by-the-glass wine menu that sparkled nicely against the New York strip steaks tender and tasty, sliced and layed out on the plate beautifully. The wines by the bottle selection was plentiful but a little pricey for our budget. All in all, with a coupon it was a great romantic dinner."

"We had a lovely dinner with outstanding service. However, we did think the music was a little too loud. We were surprised to see a group come in dressed extremely casually (tee-shirts, ball caps which were not removed). I don't think we need the old-fashioned "jacket and tie" requirement, but I thought this was a little too casual for such a nice restaurant. However, I don't know how you get around this in today's culture. Overall, we were very pleased with our dining experience."

"Our anniversary dinner was disappointing. We've always enjoyed Sullivan's in the past, but this was an exception. Things were great at first. We were seated in a wonderful booth. We opted to try the new prix fixe menu which turned out to be a mistake. The appetizers were very good, as were the salads. The entrees, however, were disappointing. The shrimp & tenderloin medallions would have been good with shrimp only. The sauce on the tenderloin was overly salty and the meat was perhaps the least satisfying I've had in a long time. The salmon was salted beyond redemption. We both enjoy well seasoned food, but when salt overwhelms rather than enhances, there is trouble."

"The only thing that bothers me is how loud the music is...in the 5pm-6pm when the restuarant isn't quite crowded but the music is ridiculously loud....as the restaurant gets more crowded it isn't so bad....GOTTA DO SOMETHING ABOUT THAT!!! But the service and food are the best Denver has to offer....LOVE THIS PLACE and my boyfriend had a great birthday!!"

"The environment was quite cozy, tables nested closely together in a dimly lit room. If I were to return I may request a booth next time because they seem to offer more comfort without bumping the next chair behind you. The lobster and shrimp bisque was excellent, I would also recommend the cheese-steak egg rolls. For the main course, I think both of the dishes ordered at our table were over seasoned/dressed. The featured item-Scallops Rockefeller was heavily dressed in a lemon butter cream sauce, while the Rib eye was over seasoned with the red pepper butter sauce. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of food served. Valet parking was within reason as well. I would recommend this restaurant"

"Having given Sullivan's a noise rating of quiet, I say that because we asked to be seated as far away from the bar as possible and that would be in the Library. That's what made the ambiance outstanding If seated much closer to the bar the ambiance would have been fair and the noise would have been energetic!"

"My husband and I went with our 7 month old during 52.80 week. Our son is very good out, but has started being more vocal lately. The notice level was loud enough to cover his happy chattering. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. The food was delicious, as expected. I love the knockout martini ( like drinking a fresh pineapple, with a serious kick!) My filet was perfect, and I LOVE the Cabernet goat cheese butter addition. Desert was delicious as well. My husband had the key lime pie, and I had the bread pudding. Great experience, and a steal for 52.80"
