"We had great service and some of the issues we brought to the attention of management recently were definitely improved. The only thing that did not seem right or appropriate was the fact that we brought our own wine and I have no problem with corckage fee but I was under the impression that proper etiquette dictates that if we share a taste with our serve the fee would be waved and it wasn't, the bottle of Trésor from Ferrari-Carano was well worth it!"

"We visit Palm Desert/Palm Springs about twice a year and we always make sure we dine at Sullivan's on Saturday night. The food is fabulous and the service is always impeccable! The best filet mignon I've ever had...and incredible Creme Brulee! Their waitresses check on us often, water glasses constantly filled, and the manager always comes by to check on us. After 3 years, he still remembers us and even remembers where we sat the previous visit. We took our two young daughters with us this last time and the waitress was so sweet to them and the chefs were very friendly towards them when the kids wanted to watch the "flames" in the kitchen. The staff really go out of their way to make sure that we were happy and had a great meal."

"I am a Chef very few restaurants are serving prime meat any more although they cliam they are, but Sullivan's is and they prepare it just right with your choice of sauce.
we split a wedge salad so yummy, they did it for us and served it, then we spit a 16 oz rib eyed med rare with horseradish whip potatoe, fantastic. Sauce Bearnaise was spot on. Great wine Hess Cab. Birthday Man Was treated to his choice of any dessert and they took comp photo very nice."

"I work in F&B service mgnt, so always notice details but they are important to overall experience of diners. It was a great night overall, hostesses were very nice, waiter was nice, food was great.. The only complaint I have is it took too long to be greeted at the table (about 6 to 10min & should be within 3min after seated) and to bring water after we were greeted. One of our guest was pregnant & only wanted water, the rest of us ordered wine & water. Wine came 1st and we had to ask couple times for water & refills were slow as well, we drank spouses water at table until more came.. It wasn't busy at all and plenty of staff walking by our table who were not busy. That was only issue, after that the evening went great!"

"This was by far one of the better meals I have had. I went for their pre-fixed menu that had a handful options. I chose the medallions and shrimp scampi and had it prepared medium rare. It was so tender, I showed my husband that I could cut it with my fork. My husband really enjoyed his cowboy rib eye bone in cut and thought his wedge was very tasty. The wedge had a different taste that he couldn't place, but delicious nonetheless. We had reservations for 8pm and got their early because we were starving. We sat at the bar area and order two cocktails and later decided to order the blue cheese chips. It was very good. The overall experience was pretty efficient ... I'd write more but I am out of room. I think I'll Yelp it."

"We only come to town once a year to meet with friends. We had been to Sullivan's once and had recommended it to our friends. Started out with great service, and then our server seemed to vanish after our salads were served. We had to ask others for her to be sent to the table. After the entree round was served we kept waiting and waiting. She was very pleasant.....when she was there! Food was all good. Service, not so much. Wondered if our server actually worked the bar."

"The restaurant has open seating, so it can seem fairly loud and bustling, which is not a bad thing, but not too conducive for a relaxing or romantic dinner. Entree items on the standard menu are stellar and on par with other great, high-end specialty steak houses. They also have a fixed price menu with good, but not great, entree choices as well. Generally the service at Sullivan's is excellent. Our waiter on this visit seemed a bit overwhelmed at times. The Iceberg Wedge, Chili-crusted Ribeye and Coconut Cream pie are all fantastic!"

"9 of us came for Easter Brunch and had a bad experience. The wait staff was clearly completely untrained - clueless about the menu and the basics of how to serve food. Everyones's food came out at different times, was always given to the wrong person, and none of the steaks were even close to being cooked how we ordered them. We were continually asking where someone's food was. Some of the food came out just swimming in oil - gross! The kids' meals were more like snacks and they didn't even have anything for dessert for them. The place was rather empty - now I know why. We will not be back."

"Normally a great place. This time I ordered a "special", Prime Rib, rare. When served, it came stone cold, apparently not cooked/reheated. When I brought this to the server's attention I was advised that they could reheat/reprepare it but it wouldn't remain "rare". It was reprpepared to my satisfaction (though not rare) and I was comp'd the meal.
Service was slow and of average enthusiasm. The server may have been new.
Management responded nicely to my problems. However I was surprised at the 'errors' at what is, supposedly, a high-end establishment."

"Way too noisy the night we were there. We go to Sullivans every year when we are in Rancho Mirage, BUT this year they had a BIG super loud group of ladies who were so loud that half of the restaurant was unable to sit in. They should have to reserve their own party room!! We did that when we celebrated a birthday a few years ago. We had to move tables three times to get in an area where the 4 of us could even hear each other!! (At least the wait staff was accommodating...) It was a bit of a disappointment, though. If groups are going to be that big and that LOUD, you should require that they sit in another reserved area.

"My husband and I were delighted to find that not only was the atmosphere of Sullivan's Steakhouse exquisite, so was the food. This was our first time dining at this restaurant and it won't be our last. We were pleasantly greeted and seated by their hostess. The waiter was most attentive and seemed to go beyond accommodating our menu selection. Even the general manager came to our table to make sure everything was going well with our dining experience. The menu selection was varied,offering numerous dishes which will make returning enticing. The food was creative and delicious.We enjoyed dining at Sullivan's and will definitely go back."

"We had a burger and a steak salad for dinner. The food was outstanding - burger was not greasy and more flavorful than other "high end" burgers we've had in Palm Desert and the steak salad was large and very good quality meat. The service outshone the dinner. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable and very attentive - without being overly so. This was our first trip to Sullivan's and we would go back in a heartbeat (Perhaps even upscale to their steaks that looked outstanding, by the way)"

"Terra, our server, was wonderful. She was cheerie and energetic. She made sure we had everything we needed. There was a problem with the "dry aged" New York strip. It was not tender or flavorful as expected. The manager, Chris, exchanged it immediately with a filet mignon. We were surprised to have had a bad steak at Sullivans. The meat is usually very good there."
