"We are visiting Anchorage for five months. We visited here some years ago. Looking for a special place to celebrate Sullivan's came to mind. We had a wonderful meal , great steaks, and special attention paid to service. Patrick was our server. Thanks for a great evening

"We had attempted to dine at the Anchorage Sullivan's several times, but each time managed to catch a night when they were at their busiest and even with a reservation, the wait was more than we were comfortable. We spoke with the private dining manager, Rachel who we knew. She promised us a night to remember if we would revisit. We made another reservation and she was right! It was a wonderful night and experience. The food was to die for, the service was excellent and the ambiance was pleasant. Sullivan's proved they are a great choice for any occasion. We have used their private dining services for our company and they are hard to beat for their focus on details. Visit them soon, you won't regret it!"

"If you like steak, and you're in Anchorage, this is a good spot. They cook the cuts to order, and they have different options to "dress up" your dish. Expensive but good. Cocktails were tasty, as well."

"My wife and I go to Sullivan's often and are usually very happy. Earlier this year we had a less than memorable night and spoke to the manager about it. They were apologetic and did everything they could to make it right. We soon were back with a "dinner on the manager" card. This time we took my dad to dinner before the Tony Bennett show. The food was great. What I have always liked about this place is if they make a mistake...they always make it up to you. We had a great night.

"The steak was cooked to perfection, but there was more fat and gristle in this steak than any I can remember buying at any restaurant. I bought a 16 ounce steak, but about 6 ounces of it was not edible.
The service was great and the atmosphere was very nice."

"We went to Sullivan's for our anniversary. When the manager, Alan, who seated us, found out it was our anniversary, he offered us complimentary champagne, which was a delightful surprise. Our dinners, a filet mignon duxelle and a ribeye steak, were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Our server, Daniel, was very attentive and pleasant but also knew when to leave us alone-the perfect server. At the end of the meal, we were offered a complimentary dessert as well and we chose the Bananas Foster Bread Pudding with salted caramel sauce - wow! A perfect ending to a perfect dinner!"

"Last time I went to Sullivan's it was outstanding!!! This time service was just okay, dessert was awful, dried out. I told waiter and he just took it away. I still had to pay for it. "we went early and they were out of most the stuff we wanted which later came after we had finished which was a big drag but they took the time to talk with us and stop and chat with our son who found it necessary to ask questions of every passing worker. most places would get annoyed but they made it a point to come over and chat more and keep him busy and for that I give them an A+. we got here often for special occasions and they are just amazing at the level of care they give each person.

"It took 15 minutes to get our water. I ordered On my way! Steak medium, came well done. After sending it back, it took 20 minutes to get a new one. She never offered to remove it from my bill. I never ate a bite. The prices are way to high for the food you receive, this is not Ruth Chris by any means, yet they are trying to be."

"Classy dining, open grand room table seating surrounded by booths. Wood panel walls covered with old time pics of boxers and such. The cuisine is top notch. Service was attentive, youthful and engaging, but not intrusive. Water glass was never empty. Good cocktails, exceptional wine list. This is a mature (not geriatric) establishment. Twenty-somethings looking for party time will not find this place interesting. At a minimum, business casual would be in order. Jeans and running shoes or hiking boots are out of place. Expect to spend at least $100 per couple, but it will be worth it. Lots of awards on the wall at the entrance, and it is easy to see why."

"Our food took a really long time to get to us. Our server did tell us that one of our steaks fell on the floor so that's why it was delayed. He did stop by twice and said our food will be right out. When it finally came our steals were good but the onion rings were cold. The server did remove the onion rings from the bill. Would have rather had warm onion rings and our food out promptly. Things happen though and I'm glad they were removed.
It would have been nice to have been asked if we would like some more bread or if we would like another appetizer while we were waiting. I will be back, just don't know how soon. Probably will go to the local place across the street first."

"After sitting for an hour and 15 minutes with no entrees, we left. Ordered a glass of wine, which after 25 minutes of not receiving it, I told them not to bring it. We had a play to be at, told this to the server and they said it would be NO PROBLEM. Not the case, so my party of 5 left annoyed and hungry. Our meal at Denny's post the show was fantastic. Good service and food for 1/8 the price. I will not be returning, as there are many other overpriced steakhouses in this town that can actually get a meal out in a timely manner."

"The food was terrific, and Jared is a phenomenal waiter. Everything would have been perfect, but we were sitting in the booth closest to the wait station and the open-air kitchen. We were several times annoyed by the manager's loud comments to staff."

"We are repeat customers and the deficiencies that we noted before have been wonderfully corrected. We had a lovely evening and loved the relaxed feel of this restaurant - dimmed lighting, and cozy – a nice place to have conversation with members of our party. We definitely would return to try more dishes. The French-Onion soup was amazing as was the calimari. Everyone loved the steaks, which were perfectly prepared and received our highest marks! Service was mostly well-timed and friendly; I would have loved a refill on my ice tea. Not a budget friendly place to dine but worth the cost."

"The serving staff was very efficient, they timed delivery of each course perfectly for us. The meal was cooked exactly how we liked, the menu selections are great. We were greeted by the manager as well as our waited in a very friendly and professional manner. It was a very nice experience."

"During this visit the food, service, and seating was much better than my last visit. All the food came out hot, prepared how we ordered it, and we never had to wait too long for anything. The server was friendly, helpful, and our glasses were never empty for long. Plan on coming back when I'm down in Anchorage again."

"Expensive but good. Great Steak. Waiter forgot quite a few things we had requested. Our waiter seemed to be more preoccupied with more important people I guess. First I ordered a manhattan on the rocks and I got one straight up in a martini glass and about half filled. 2nd, My son ordered a ceasar salad and he got a wedge salad. Our apps were cold. I stated ahead of time that it was a birthday celebration; guess the waiter forgot. Summmary, food good, service not so good, very spendy."

"I've been a few times before, and enjoyed my meals so I was a little disappointed that the KC Strip steak I ordered was very grissly and tough to chew. I am from UK and had never heard of KC before(apparently it means Kansas City). Maybe they are supposed to be like that but I shall avoid that cut in the future.
Otherwise the service was as pleasant and efficient as usualand the steak will not put me off from returning to Sullivan's."

"Dim romantic lighting, great menu. I had three small pieces of steak and was able to choose my own toppings for each. Caesar salad was delicious. My husband had the bone in New York and loved it as well. The wine list was divine, and dessert even better. Would recommend to anyone except children. It is not the type of place you want to hear kids screaming in. =)"

"My husband and I were celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary. We wanted a special place with superb food and service. I requested server Bruce Parker and he just treated us like royalty. He was very attentive, but not overly so. The wine was perfect, as was our food and dessert. All the staff we encountered we pleasant and professional and polite. We had a great evening. My husband thinks Sullivans serves the best Filet Mignon in town!"
