"This is the second time I have dined here. The first was 2 years ago and my wife and I were very impressed. This occasion was not as good. They have stuck an ice cream stall in the middle of St Marks square which spoils the scenery, view and ambience.
The waiter service was not quite as good. The menu was the same as it was 2 years ago and the food was just ok.

"Out for a girls night and we had read good reviews about this spot. The service was horrilbe. Not just a little bad, but REALLY BAD. Our waiter was really slow and had no clue as to how to do the most standard thing, like refill water glass. If something is empty like a wine glass, ask if you'd like another. The food was just ok. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone for the money you'd spend."

"It was so refreshing to find this quaint corner of Las Vegas, where there wasn't a pounding beat and the ringing of slots as a constant refrain. Even though the pretend-sunset sky above and the shiny pseudo-cobblestones were clearly NOT authentic, the atmosphere of this little Venetian-like square was pleasant and relaxing. We sat outside and listened to a bandstand concert, while enjoying a well-prepared meal. The mixed seafood plate that my husband ordered was outstanding. Yes, we did also take the gondola ride, and again, it actually felt special and romantic. Go for it!"

"This is one of my Go To places in Vegas. While many folks enjoy the excitement of a table in St. Marks Square, I prefer the intimacy and cozieness of the inside of Canneleto. The food is consistently good authentic Italian fare, and our waiter's service and attention just enhanced the experience."

"Great location at The Venetian, underneath the Italian skies. ;) Ask for seating outdoor and enjoy the view and the live music. Food is typical Italian, and not that expensive. We had the salmon (delish!) and the seafood pasta (would have liked it better with more garlic and less tomato sauce, but taste is personal of course). Great option for good food."

"We were disappointed with our experience at the Canaletto. We enjoyed the "outdoor experience". Our waiter didn't tell us the specials for the night which we overheard another waiter telling the next table much later. He did recommend good wine. We were never offered fresh ground pepper or cheese. My seafood pasta dinner was very good and the portion very generous. But my husband's food arrrived luke warm and when the waiter brought it back it wasn't any better. When he asked if the food was any better, my husband told him not really. The waiter only shrugged his shoulders and walked away. I saw all the other waiters acting very friendly with the other customers. I would recommend the Canaletto and but not the same waiter."

"We were four women celebrating a significant birthday in the group. Being inside The Venetian, sitting 'outside on the veranda' gave us the distinct pleasure of feeling we were in Italy! Definitely would dine at this restaurant again. The food really was delicious, the evening was fun and memorable. When I made the reservation I noted one in the party was celebrating a 60th birthday and without any other prompting, we were 'comped' a lovely tiramasou dessert!"

"There hasn't been a visit to Las Vegas without a meal at Canaletto. I remember before the hustle and bustle of the courtyard was a big attraction and the gelato stand was installed. The courtyard was romantic. Now, it feels "touristy". Then again, the restaurant is in a main shopping thoroughfare. Still, I prefer the patio seating. It still feels warm and welcoming. The food is amazing, no qualms about it. The spaghettini all' arrogosta with lobster in a cream sauce is unparalleled. The staff is always pleasant and willing to suggest a wine pairing or dessert.
Like I mentioned, I've never skipped Canaletto during a holiday in LV, and I never will. Even with the hustle & bustle of the Shoppes around the walkway."

"I LOVE eating here. I first ate here 3 years ago and could not wait to come back and order the exact same meal. we had to ask for a couple glasses of wine- it was not offered when we ordered the meal.
as before when we have been to Canaletto my wife asked for a dish that wasn't exactly on the menu and the answer was - "of course we can do that". The chef did and it was great as usual."

"This will be our last visit to this restaurant- after going about 12 times before. The waiter was the worst ever!! He never checked on us after we received our food. We sat with empty wine glasses for 15 minutes, before we finally got up and went to the bar to get a second glass for ourselves. Because there are so many choices in Las Vegas- we will just find another Italian restaurant that understands that service is the key ingredient in keeping customers coming back. Good service will make even bad food, better!!"

"Our first time dining at Canaletto. We have dined at several of the other Italian restaurants in the Venetian Palazzo complex and they are all a little different. Canaletto is a little less formal than some of the others but that was just fine with us. There were four in our party and we all tried different items. The risotto with shrimp was over the top good as was the beet salad. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Our server was from Sicily and explained the menu and specials throughly and his knowledge and service made our dining experience even better. We sat inside but many of the diners chose to dine in the front open area which is on the plaza square, just like in Italy. We will return on our next visit to Las Vegas."

"Gives the impression of being outside on a patio given the fake sky and clouds in this area of the shoppes. The pasta was outstanding. The field greens salad to begin tasted like freshly mown lawn, which wasn't good. Dessert was also good but the pasta was the hit.
The servers were very authentic, knowledgeable and entertaining."

"Food was ok, I've been to Vegas 5x's and eaten in some amazing restaurants, I would not choose to go back here. The service was HORRIBLE, the appetizers came out quickly and were good, but the entree took almost 45 minutes and our server barely came to our table to see if we needed anything. We also had to chase our server to pay our bill, she finally left our check and then forgot to come back for it. I was pretty disappointed."

"While this restaurant has "atmosphering" seating along the Venetian Hotel's St. Mark's Plaza, the inside tables afford the opportunity to hear your table mates. The food was delicious and the service was good, though not as attentive as it could have been. I remember a former incarnation of this restaurant several years ago, which had a much more initimate feeling. This time, we were just "a part of the crowd.""

Hard to get to, no good directions on the restaurant web site so we ended up walking through the entire hotel / shopping complex, parts of which were under construction, to end up at a small place that from the outside seemed like it was part of a food court, not much ambiance especially since we were seated right by the door so noise levels were high. After all that we had a good meal but it did not meet the expectations set by the web site or menu."
