The Restaurant at Ponte
Recognized by OpenTable as one of the top 50 restaurants in the US for outdoor dining, the Restaurant at Ponte prepares wine country cuisine in a casual outdoor atmosphere. We are leading the way toward a community of wineries and restaurants dedicated to promoting local, sustainable farmers and ranchers. Our dishes feature top quality seasonal and regional ingredients prepared in our kitchen and enhanced when paired with our wines. The Restaurant is open daily, although hours do vary.
The Restaurant at Ponte is open in inclement weather. Heaters and blankets are available in the winter, and misters and fans are used in the summer.
Guests Arriving By Limo or Private Bus: A separate limo reservation is required for the weekends. To submit a limo request, please go to the "Plan A Visit" tab at www.pontewinery.com.

"Loved the steak but my spouse's scallops and our shared calamari left a lot to be desired. The calamari's batter was tasteless and there was mostly scraps of it on the plate, separated from the actual meat.
Best steak I've had in a long time but the scallops were only okay. For the price my husband hoped for more flavor and delight.
We had kids there so couldn't drink so we cannot comment on the wine.
Overall we'll try again in case they had an off night. The ambience is worth that at least."

"I found this restaurant on Trip Advisor while researching a Girls Wine Weekend. The location was wonderful, and even though the service started out a little slow at the beginning, our server ended up being great, timing things well, giving advice and making adjustments when the dish I ordered was not available as listed. The food was great as well. We ordered a small charcuterie plate, which was a generous size and tasted wonderful, Caesar salad, Roasted Chicken, King Salmon and barely had room for a birthday scoop of ice cream. All in all, I would definitely come back. It was a wonderful evening celebrating my best friend's birthday."

"Although we aren't wine club members, we usually choose Ponte for celebrating special occasions. The ambiance is wonderful, the outdoor dining is fun, the facility is beautiful and beautifully maintained, the food and wines are prepared and presented in a "top shelf" kind of way (although the relaxed, festive feel is never sacrificed) and the service is exemplary. The gift shop is an added bonus and the fact that Ponte is situated in beautiful California Wine Country makes it, for us, the perfect spot for celebrating that special event."

"The outside dining area is amazing! It makes for a very relaxed and beautiful place to enjoy a meal. The food tasted great, one of the friends that I brought with me is very picky about the food she eats, but she loved everything that she ate. I was disappointed at how long it took for our wine to come to our table and be opened. That happened twice. Also, we asked for bread prior to ordering our food, and we got it with our meal instead. Overall because I enjoyed the meal and the ambiance, I will be coming back!"

"Everyone working there from the hostesses to the waiters and servers and even the guy singing could not have been nicer. Beautiful setting and while we learned as other had said, it was a little on the pricey side, we could easily have split one appitizer and one main course and had plenty to eat. We will definitely stay at their hotel and eat at this restaurant again next time we are in the area."

"We have been members and patrons of Ponte Winery for 8 years. We have always enjoyed the food and dinning experience. I must admit this last visit in late May was a disappointment as far as our lunch was concerned. The food was not to the standards that we had enjoyed in the past. The steak was not cooked to specifications and very tough.
The french fries, new with the steak, were soggy and chewy. The plate was very low caliber at an expensive price. I can go anywhere for that kind of money. We expect to have good food in addition to the outside atmosphere.
I found this lunch, which was a birthday gift to my son a great disappointment."

"Pros: Prompt seating and good wait staff.
Cons: The flatiron steak ordered by my friend arrived with a gooey cold center. The 2nd attempt was the same piece of meat still with a cold center and now smaller. The 3rd try was a fresh steak cooked medium which we made do with given that I had finished my meal.
Shutdown activity began at 6:30 with cleanup happening all around us while we dined. Not relaxing.
Pros: The food was decent. The wine country and Caesar salads were wonderful. My scallops were delicious. The steak, part from not being cooked properly was tasty, but the potatoes were only edible. Desserts were comped as well as the french fries (also only edible) I ordered. Stay away from the potatoes on this menu."

"We love to dine at Ponte but when we arrived, they had no record of our Open Table Reservation. Fortunately, I saved the email confirmation from Open Table to show them that we indeed had a reservation. Being a class restaurant, they seated us immediately. I don't know where the problem existed, but I don't know if I will use Open Table again and just call the restaurant directly to make my reservation."

"If you are in Temecula you will not want to miss dining at Ponte Winery. The outdoor patio is beautiful; perfect for small or large parties. Great service, friendly staff, yummy food and lovely setting. The pizza is cooked in a wood burning pizza oven and is a must!!"

"Really good service and beautiful setting. The food was pricey and it was just okay. My wife had the chicken dish and it was definitely above average. I had the ahi salad. I would consider myself an ahi connoisseur as this is one my favorite dishes. This preparation was very average compared to others I have had and it was definitely overpriced. I also had the margherita pizza. It was fine, but nothing special."

"We have had lunch at Ponte before but wanted to check-out their live music on Friday night. It was amazing! The musician played the piano and an acoustical guitar so beautifully. And he had a list of songs to choose from for request. As always the food was awesome. Sarah, our server, remembered us from 4 months ago. My husband had the pork chop and a side of brussel sprouts. It was so tender. And the flavoring on the brussel sprouts of bacon pieces have converted me from keeping them on the "I'm not going to eat that" list. I had the special which was a grilled Salmon fillet with sauteed vegetables. Great flavor, easily flaked with my fork. If you want to relax with a bottle of wine, some tasty food, and great service, this is the place."

"The restaurant was very nice, great ambiance, great music. The few issues I have is first of all I ordered a glass of "house zinfandel" without looking at the menu and the price, I guess I was thinking that it was like most restaurants a glass of house wine typically around 6-8 dollars and when I got the bill it was 12 dollars a glass WOW!!! My other complaint was, I ordered the shrimp with the chorizo and vegetables, when I got my food there were only 4 shrimps and that would be fine if they were jumbo shrimp but they were really small and I felt like I got ripped off. They should also lower the lighting or remove some of the lights, it was a little bright and there were a lot of bugs in the air I think because of all the lights."

"We were introduced to Ponte by old friends who are wine club members and we have been fans ever since. We love to go to the restaurant when we have a special occasion to celebrate and have never been disappointed. This is the first time that we have gone when the roses are blooming for spring.......it was absolutely exquisite. I have introduced many friends to this fabulous winery and on this occasion we took some family members and once again was not disapointed. I like how they bring a basket for your purse, never known anywhere else that does that and it adds a caring touch. I also like how as a member we get a little taster appetizer that makes you feel special. The girls at the check point too are very sweet and professional and very accommodating. I highly recommend dining at Ponte and winetasing too - you will love the experience. If you become a member as I am, you get a discount on your food so the value just gets better."

"I am a member of the winery and cannot say enough good comments about the wine. I was visiting the area a short while ago and wanted to purchase more of Ponte's spectacular wine along with trying out their restaurant. I did not disappoint and was fabulous in every way. The food was well prepared and tasty. All of the servers were wonderful and attentive. This is a must when visiting the Temecula wine area."

"My wife and I visited the resturant for lunch to celebrate our 37th wedding anniversary on Sunday. I ordered flowers and they were delivered and placed on our table prior to our arrival. The afternoon was on the cool side but the heaters made if comfortable to eat even on an overcast day. The service was excellent throughout our meal. The food was fantastic . We look forward to visiting the resturant in the future."

"We had heard very good things about the resturant. I am sure we just hit an off day with the chief. We were a group of 5 and 2 of the meals were no eatable. The chicken ceasar salad the chicken was so dry and tough I couldn't eat it, and the flat iron steak had so much grizle it could not be cut. The other 3 meals were good. Just a bad day I think."

"The setting is beautiful and we could not have asked for a nicer day to spend outdoors dining with our family.Wine Country is a beautiful place to visit, whether enjoying it with family or friends.We were seated immediately on arrival.Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable on the wine selections. The kitchen was extremely slow getting the food out that day as in the past that has not been the case, but our waiter went above and beyond to take care of us for the delay in food service. Because we were in no hurry and the fact that our waiter was so generous I am giving service a very good rating and will definitely come again."

"This was the second time our family dined at Ponte for Easter. Last year we went to the buffet brunch but this year we ate outside and ordered from their regular menu. From start to finish, everything was perfect. Our server, Sarah, was friendly and attentive. There was live music provided by Brian who took requests and played songs from a great list that covered all of the genres. He was entertaining without being intrusive. Of course, the highlight of the day was the visit to our table by the Easter Bunny! Our two-year-old grandson absolutely loved it and we got some great photos. We were so impressed with Ponte that we decided to join the wine club after enjoying a wine tasting with Lauren in the tasting room. Perfect day!"
