"I love beer bistro for its great food and beer menu. However, this time I was disappointed with the food we received. The bread was stale like rubber, we asked that they change it, but pretty much same thing came in. They should probably change the recipe... I wasn't happy with the mussel bowl either. The shells were practically empty or mussels inside we're very tiny...for 16$ there should be mussels in the bowl I think. Other than that I enjoy the atmosphere of that place. I wish the patio was open, that's when it is truly and awesome place to be in."

"Mussels are dipped in beer and sauce - super good. There are a bunch of choices of mussels to choose from as well. Ours was New England Mussel.
$6 Belgium Fries was good value. 3 of us(girls) can't even finish it.

"I have been here many, many times and I have said it over and over - this is my number one GO-TO restaurant. Great service, great food, GREAT beer. "I go to BeerBistro often, for the beer selection, which is phenomenal. Food is generally very good, especially the fries. One in our party had a sub-par steak on this occassion (the steak is normally excellent). Staff were very apologetic and comped us the steak and a couple tulip glasses. That's a great apology in my books!
Restaurant gets very busy at lunchtime, so order your food early if you're in a hurry.
I am a regular who will certainly be returning."

"Each month we go to a different restaurant for our business lunch--so far have been to O&B, Bannock, Mercatto. Beer Bistro was my choice, had dinner here once, fantastic food, atmosphere + beer selection. But for food quality & speed of service, I was unpleasantly surprised to find that beer bistro was my least favourite of the 4 resturants we've tried for these lunches. Croque moisoir was far too salty (and I tend to find I can eat things others find too salty) butter chicken also sub par. Frites were delish and I would still go back, but not for lunch. Good atmosphere/decor, server was lovely but the food service was slow-took forever for our meals to arrive compared to the other restaurants. Hope you find this feedback helpful."

"I must say I was a little disappointed... I read great reviews & was really looking forward to impressing out of town guests. Upon arriving at the restaurant, I noticed dress code was very casual amongst diners, and decor was cheesy (I felt like I was at the Olive Garden) They did however have a great selection of beers! My hubby & his buddy ordered the flights. I was very pleased with my meal (salmon & veggies) however no one else at the table was overly impressed with theirs. I would say a great after work hangout for a few beers."

"My partner and I were in Toronto for the weekend and decided to try Beer Bistro for our weekly date night. The fondue was amazing as was the beer selection. I had the Duck Confit Pizza which was good but too heavy after fondue. Had the sticky toffee pudding for dessert which was nice (not enough sauce!). The Bourbon ice cream that came with dessert was delicious! Will definitely be visiting again when we are back in Toronto. Would like to try one of the many mussel bowls next time."

"After a somewhat uninspiring fall 2012 menu, I have to say the winter 2012/2013 menu is outstanding. Both the braised pork belly and the duck breast were expertly prepared. The lobster quesedilla was below average. Of course the regular menu items like the duck confit pizza and frites were excellent. As you would expect, the beer menu kept us entertained. Beerbistro is still one of the few places I recommend regularly."

"We went to the Beer bistro before a show at the ACC. The food was great (fabulous mussels & the cheese fondue was to DIE for!), atmostphere was nice, service was good.

"Excellent drunken mushroom pizza and the apple cider was delicious. Our server was great. The mussels we ordered had too much garlic. ;( we wouldn't order them again. We were seated promptly and the atmosphere was lively and fun. Definitely would go back to try the brunch and the dessert! Excellent location in downtown Toronto!"

"Beerbistro is always such a unique and fun experience! The food is incredible with a great mix of classics (but always with a twist) and adventurous options. I have always experienced fantastic service and the servers are always enthusiastic about giving advice on the best menu items and beer suggestions. Definitely ask them about beers they recommend especially if the extensive list seems overwhelming! My husband and I love taking friends to this restaurant who are visting Toronto or who have never been before; it is always a memorable experience and the food is always top quality. This restaurant is always the perfect combination of fresh experiences but with reliable quality and service."

"Best beer list in town. The fries are really good because of duck fat, the mussel bowl is very good and generously portioned too. I highly recommend the pizza and beercream. Service is pretty good but they are busy for sure."

"This was our spot for Valentine dining, during our lunch hour this year. The Beer Bistro is very well located and serves one of wife's favorite seafood items, the sinfully delicious Muscles Puttanesca.
It was a bit loud but cozy and our waiter was very attentative and friendly. The food was excellent, as usual, and if you are a muscle fanatic, this is a place you'll love as you are given wonderful bread in order to indulge in the delicious broth without any reservation. There are I believe, 6 varities of muscle dishes on the menu for all tastes.
The beer menu is inexhaustible as you would expect and they are always willing to provide the correct recommendation for your meal choice. You can tell these folks love what they're doing."

"The beer menu is extensive and a little overwhelming. This is not to say that the beers that you can get are anything less than fantastic! The menu provides excellent pairing recommendations, and to be honest, you can't go wrong by just picking a beer and trying it. I had a few different kinds of beer and they were all extremely unique and delicious.
The food was fine but overpriced for the quality. The price that I paid for my pizza should have demanded some sort of gourmet foodgasm, but it was only less than average as far as pizzas go. Was not that happy with the food.
The service was FANTASTIC! Our waiter was extremely helpful in suggesting beers and created a wonderful experience."
