"Excellent neighborhood restaurant. Food was great. Restaurant is small so it can be tight if someone large is at the next table. Great atmosphere. Would certainly dine there more often."

Review 2 for Baraonda
Overall Rating
(Poor)
"Horrible Valentine's Day weekend experience - Baraonda booked a private party that took up about 1/2 of the restaurant, complete with videographer, photographer, etc. They were loud, noisy, roaming the restaurant. The ambiance was horrible - there are no private rooms at Baraonda, so the restaurant should have either closed down just for the party or not allowed such a big party with all of the extras."

"The high noise level detracted from the delicious food and perfectly-cooked fish dishes. Would not recommend for parties larger than 2 or 3 people because of the small dining room."

"I'm an UWSer and will gladly make the trip crosstown for this gem;-) Had an early dinner and while waiting for my friend, had a drink at the bar where the gracious bartender, Constantinos, made me feel right at home at the cozy little bar! Simply put, the food was outstanding and most importantently, you could taste the freshness! Service was on the mark..without being intrusive! Small and so homey/cozy w/a great staff and impeccable food..what more can you ask for?!"

Review 8 for Baraonda

"Place was unbelivably cramped. You are on top of your neighbors. It so bad that it created traffic jams and the waiters could not get through. I'm sure it's fine when you can get a table outside, but you have to be in the hostess's face to make sure she doesn't give up your table, even with a reservation. At least the food is good."

"Food was ok..nothin special..The service was terrible..They rushed us thru our dinner! We had a 8pm reservation..I figured we'd have a nice dinner then check out the whole dancing thing that supposedly happens but they wouldnt let us stay. They were always hovering around trying to take our plates away from us..The manager had the nerve to tell us he had other reservations so order ur dessert or pay the check..When i made the reservation I didnt realize it came with a time limit. If ur going for dinner and dancing like we were I suggest you make your reservations around 10..It was only 9pm when we were threatened..I think a lot to do with their attitude was from the fact we didnt have any apps and I wasnt drinking.."
