Authentic traditional Italian regional cuisine served in a elegant dining atmosphere and extremely reasonably priced. Great Italian food at a great price. Located conveniently at the IP Casino Resort-Spa valet entry in our main lobby.
"We dined on a Monday night so maybe we got the B team? We did not care for the salad being served in a big bowl and the house dressing was not to our liking. The sauce was thick and heavy on the parmagania. The veal marsala was chewy vs tender. Server and aide were just ok...server leaned on the table when speaking...the aide never re-filled my water or my guest's coffee...the decor is a confusing mix of oriental & mediteranian (sp) and the chairs are horribly uncomfortable so bad in fact that we skipped dessert and departed...."

"This is the second time in a month we've dined there. Unfortunately the criticisms I noted in my last review pretty much still exist. Two of the four entrees were fine (veal parmesan and veal piccata) but the two others (Shrimp Scampi) were less than satsfactory. The pasta was loadeded with an excess of lemon which pretty much ruined the dish. Seems like this restaurant believes excess seasoning or flavoring is the way to go. Last time it was an avalanche of salt and oregano on the side dish (the so called "inspired" vegetables) This time the "inspired' vegetables were served cold. Sent them back to be heated but they returned luke warm at which point we gave up."

"We came to see a show at the IP. The restaurant was more than adequate. Being from the Ny area I am picky about Italian food. I would return again. We made a reservation and had plenty of time to get to the show. Our waiter Miguel was really attentive. Try their white bean soup. ."

"Food service slow; chcken parm had been under lights--warm chicken, but cheese was hard; pasta was cold. $17 for six shrimp in the scampi. Hard to believe on the gulf coast. The Olive Garden is a better choice. We will not return."

"Service was good! I wasn't overly impressed with the food. Stay away from the shrimp parmesan, the sauce clashes heavily with the taste of the shrimp."

"The room had a simple but elegant Italian ambiance but was a little noisy. The appitizers were very flavorful and served hot as were the entrees. The salad was chilled and well prepared but may have been improved with the addition of Italian peperoncini. The presentation of the entrees was very nice with ample quantities of veal. Unfortunately, the "inspired vegetables" only inspired disdain. Zucchini(?)soaked in an uninspiring tomato sauce laced with an avalanche of oregano and salt. On the bright side, we tasted three different wines and each one was exceleant as was the service. The server (Miguel) was attentive but not overly attentive, good humoured and pleasent. The Spumoni dessert was very nice and left us with a favorable impression"

"I have eaten here many times. The staff is great. The salad they serve along with the roasted tomato spread for their bread is likewise great. However, the chef seems to delight in putting some odd herb or spice in otherwise classic dishes (like eggplant parm) that, rather than enhance, just sticks out leaving the diner wondering "what is that off taste". They used to have excellent osso bucco but they no longer have it on the menu. The shrimp and penne casserole and tortellini bolognese are outstanding. Have never tried their pizza but they may be worth a try. Their wine list is adequate. Overall I give it a B+. Main thing is that it is ALWAYS freezing in there - got to get people back into the casinos."

"My fiancee and I came here and were very pleased. The service was awesome and the food prices were very reasonable. Not only were the prices not jacked way up like most casino eateries, they portions were HUGE! We ate leftover for lunch and dinner the next day. Overall, had a great experience and will never go back to that other Italian restaurant, the OG."

"We didn't know the area and was told that the IP hotel had great food and bar scence. Costa Cocina was probably some of the best Italian food we have had in awhile, and the best service we had on our trip."

"We enjoyed the meal but felt neglected because there were not enough servers to give the attention we thought they should. Our server had so many tables that he could not even pour our wine when needed. We had to flag someone down. It was not his fault as they needed more waiters. We will eat there again when we come as we enjoyed it."

"second time eating at Costa Cucina, first time was great loved it. We made a second trip to IP and the antipasti was great again my wife got chicken alfeddo and I got what was supposed to be claims over linguini. the clams were OK but the dish was very oily and so much oregano that it was not eatable
We will be back to try again hope you correct dishes"

"Food is excellent, but a little dissappointed that the zucchini appetizer was taken off the menu and we ask for a glass of red charbonnet wine and they said they did not serve that there (You have it at the sports bar). Otherwise great value for the money"

"The food was perfect, every bite a delicious treat. The service was also excellent, with the waitstaff functioning well as a team to be sure no guest was ever left needing anything. Each server we saw or spoke to that evening was very cordial and attentive; none of them seemed rushed or annoyed to be at work as some servers at other places do. The restaurant itself is beautiful: mood lighting with LED candles everywhere, a rustic Tuscany look inside, comfortable and well-spaced seating arrangements. My only two complaints were the flooring - it is roughly stone-textured and I was wearing heels - and the noise level. There was a lot of excited and/or noisy talking by other patrons in the restaurant. But overall, Costa Cucina is wonderful!"

"The food was outstanding. The price was very appropriate. The seating and tables seemed appropriate for small people. I am 6'3" and the table was short and a little uncomfortable but it was great for my wife. Service was great. I would definitely go back."

"Prior to the Les Cavaliers Mardi Gras Ball, my wife and our quests enjoyed a WONDERFUL meal. The service was the best I have experienced in some time, it must be a lost art these days. The food was perfect and delicious. We will definitely be going back."

"Second time we have been here and will definitely come back. One of the entrees the eggplant parmesan was only okay. The linguini and clams with the white sauce is fabulous and after seeing the pizza in the brick oven cooking had to have one for an appetizer and it was just fabulous. Needless to say we had loads of food to bring home for portions are of good size."
