Marrakesh Palace Pasha Lounge Reviews List

Overall Rating 3.0 out of 5 (Good)
"Just very OK. Chicken eggplant special was
watered down and flavorless. Beef cigar
app and baklava were dry. They were out of
four of the desserts. The complimentary bread
and olives were tasty however. I would try it
again if I lived in D.C. and had sampled lots of
the other restaurants in town but it's unlikely I
will return being an out-of-towner.

Review 4 for Marrakesh Palace Pasha Lounge

Overall Rating 4.0 out of 5 (Very Good)
"Moroccan food is relatively unusual and definitely worth exploring at this Dupont Circle restaurant. Combinations of savory chicken, lamb, or vegetables with sweet spices or honey are exotic to the American palate but not too spicy or frightening for diners unaccustomed to foreign cuisines. We took my non-foodie parents here when they visited from out of town-- it was our second visit to Marrakesh Palace-- and everyone was very pleased with the choice. The chicken in phyllo dough appetizer, the marinated carrots and spinach, and the Moroccan mint tea with dessert are special treats."

Review 7 for Marrakesh Palace Pasha Lounge

Overall Rating 4.0 out of 5 (Very Good)
"Everything was really good. Service was very attentive and the bastilla was excellent. Couscous was slightly adapted for US tastes but very tasty. I saw some negative reviews on the couscous but in general it was very typical Moroccan style. We were very pleased."

Review 10 for Marrakesh Palace Pasha Lounge

Overall Rating 4.0 out of 5 (Very Good)
"My girlfriend and I had a very good (but not great) meal here this weekend. Its more contemporary than many Moroccan restaurants (i,e, no sitting on the floor and eating with your hands). Service was very good, and it was lively. Some people might find the belly-dancer jiggling by your table while you eat a little distracting (inc. quite loud music) - but fun if you're in the mood."

Review 15 for Marrakesh Palace Pasha Lounge

Overall Rating 4.0 out of 5 (Very Good)
"I took a date there for restaurant week. The back room was great, tiles up the columns and the small sofas on the walls. It felt Moroccan to me. There gave us a lot of food. One nice surprize was the cold spinach, eggplant, and tapenade (I think). Good stuff. My date had the chicken tagine and I had the lamb couscous. Both were very good. I can't speak to whether the food was authentic, but I was happy that the chicken actually tasted like a real chicken. There was a LOT of food though, and we were sad that we had to leave some of the dessert on the table. Staff was very friendly and upbeat. A very nice place."

Review 16 for Marrakesh Palace Pasha Lounge

Overall Rating 2.0 out of 5 (Fair)
"We went on restaurant week and in time to see the belly dancer. All this was a little disappointing. the best part of the food was the soup and that was not listed on the menu. The belly dancer was late and didn't dance long and was not very good. So all and all it was a fun experience but I would not go again. Once was enough."

Review 18 for Marrakesh Palace Pasha Lounge

Overall Rating 2.0 out of 5 (Fair)
"for a 4 star you would expect more the bar staff keep bringing wrong drinks all night long and we talking about easy drinks like whiskey on ice ( they gave my husband whiskey and cranberry juice) vodka and tonic (we got vodka and sprite) so i think they should hire new bartenders.
belly dancer was not a belly dancer she show up and act like she knows what she is doing but danced for a minute and she was done.
Server was excellent so was not his fault the food and drinks was not good.
I don't think we gona be back there anytime soon.
