"My husband and I have been going to Duo for over six years now. We love the local food sourcing and the inventive dishes they consistently delight us with. This week we celebrated my husband's birthday and had probably some of the best food we've ever eaten there. The pea bruschetta was spring on our plate and the butter salad was divine with hints of smoky bacon and a slight acidic finish, which was very refreshing. The main star of the show was the lamb meatballs -- an exquisite combination of fresh baby vegetables with melt in my mouth meatballs, side dressed with these little crispy, cumin forward lentil squares. All of that underlaced by a carrot puree. Kudos Duo -- you continue to delight and amaze, even after all these years."

"What a nice choice for Mother's Day Brunch. We enjoyed our egg dish entrees, especially the one with wonderful fresh asparagus as an ingredient. The delicious french press coffee and outstanding pastry basket selection completed our choices. The food was good, service was friendly and the menu selection was fresh and interesting. We highly recommend this restaurant and are anxious to try it in the evening in the future. Its neighborhood location was quite nice."

"I had 4 girls with me for a farewell dinner party. We had an excellent dinner! The food was really spectacular, the drinks were delicious and interesting, and the atmosphere was fun and inviting. Our seating arrangements were a bit tight but not uncomfortable. The only complaint I have is the service, ours was slightly slow. Not much to complain about though because we had more than enough fun spending the time with each other. I think this restaurant is best suited for small parties looking to relax over great food, in a hip environment, for a special occasion. I would highly recommend it to any and everyone! Thank-you so much!"

"The food was fabulous with everyone in our party thoroughly enjoying their meal. The butter salad was out of this world and was a perfect starter for the salmon! My date had the lamb shank and as promised it was quite good. Service was attentive but never pushy and allowed us time to linger for a bit over cocktails before ordering.
We will definitely be back!"

"This place does not need to be taking reservations, it was empty; and I know why. The service was slow, the portions were small and everyone's entreè was somewhat undercooked. Entreè took over 30 minutes to be delivered even though there were only 5 tables filled with customers. It's always an adventure to try some place new, sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad, this was BAD!!!"

"Met friends here for dinner last nite. Parking requires some cruising around, but not bad. Greetings at door warm and welcoming. Knowledgeable server, with good attentiveness in spite of a busy, full room. Salads and soup creative and full of flavor. Entree list offered something for everyone, flavorful, and generous. My farm raised Scottish salmon with chard, yukon potatoes, and turnips hit a home run. Need to return for the cassoulet. Wines by the glass nicely accommodated our various tastes and were reasonably priced. Chocolate ganache dessert and port wine was the best ever

The wine was excellent, as were the olives/crackers that were served before ordering. We shared two salads - server split the salads, giving each of us our own plate -- very nice touch and appreciated! The mixed berry Pavlova, our dessert of choice, because they were out of lemon pudding cake, made for a very attractive presentation, but wasn't anything special as far as flavor goes. Service was well-timed, friendly and helpful waitstaff. A bit noisy, somewhat hindering easy conversation, but not totally prohibitive to visiting."

"We hadn't been back to Duo in several months and wondered why we hadn't. We brought some friends along and had a lovely evening. As always, the food was fantastic. They served salmon (my wife's favorite) at our request. The braised lamb shank (the first time I had it) was marvelously flavored. The service was remarkably attentive without being interruptive. The Nebbiolo wine (that we were glad to see still being offered) is one of the best reds we've ever had at a restaurant. Thank you for remaining one of the top restaurants in Denver. We'll be back again soon!"

"Usually I love Duo - this is where I like to take friends from out of town - I was so disappointed in the service this past visit - it wasn't too busy of a night and yet our server was nowhere to be found for extensive periods of time - after our main course our empty plates sat at the table for over 15 minutes - I ended up stacking them and pushing them to the edge of the table in hopes of getting some attention and still nothing. I hope this was just a bad night and not indicative of a shift of standards at Duo... I'm sure we will go back but my overall impression has been lowered. What a bummer."

"So nice to have a short menu. That means everything is top quality and well prepared. No restaurant needs a multi-page menu; usually it is all average as there is no specialty cuisine or concept. Ordered short ribs which were not good. Advised our server and the manager promptly came to our table and made it all good. Went out of their way to compensate. I would go back again because another dish was promptly prepared and comped. Commendable. The restaurant was very busy on a Tuesday night and our server had to work double time as there were no assistants. She was impressive. Presentation of each plate was beautiful and all other meals and sides were excellent. Our party would return for sure."

"Loved the Restaurant Week menu. My friend and I shared the butter lettuce salad, mushroom toasts, buffalo short ribs, pork chop, toffee pudding and chocolate hazelnut torte. We loved the white anchovy. Very mild taste. Everything was delicious. The short ribs were fork tender and very tasty. The desserts were the best - we were tempted to lick the plates. We'll definitely be back. I still want to try the brunch. Thanks for another wonderful meal."

"Duo is one of my favorites! Best quiche anywhere in town!!! This time we had a few more people to add last minute to our already large reservation. I called Duo and even though they were totally booked at our time they found a way to make it work. Delicious food, service, and a fun atmosphere! They are also focused on local and fresh, which is beautifully showcased in their menu."

"It took about 20 minutes to get our mimosa's once we sat down. Unfortunately, it took another 30 minutes for our server to come take our order. The food came out pretty quick after we ordered, though. The food (Sunday brunch) was fabulous, and so was my company, so overall it was a wonderful afternoon."

"I felt like I was eating at a families farm house. It was so cozy and warm and I loved that they had napkin rings for the napkins....made you feel very welcome and relaxed. Our waitress was very friendly and of course we loved that Sticky Toffee Pudding though it looked like everyone liked their desert options."

"Went to Duo for restaurant week and had an outstanding time! They were running behind when we arrived for our reservation so we sat at the bar for a drink. The bar and bartender were so nice we decided to stay at the bar. It ended up being a great idea! The bartender was awesome and we got great service. Our food was very good and we will most definitely be back soon! Great restaurant."
