Smörgås Chef Restaurant serves up super fresh seafood and prime meats based on centuries of Scandinavian & European culinary traditions. Zagat Survey says Smörgås Chef is "a refreshing change of pace", and Village Voice claims the food is "Damn Good."
Smörgås Chef's authentic Swedish Meatballs with Lingonberries have become famous. The New York Post calls Smörgås Chef the "Swedish Meatball Mecca" of New York. "This little hideaway is awesome. I'm not Scandinavian but I'm starting to wish I were! My wife and I (she's Moroccan) consider their brunch one of our favorites in the City. We just had our first dinner there last weekend, and loved it. I'm talking about high-quality food, great and unique tastes and A-Z perfect for us in all other respects. If you haven't visited, it's a must for anyone who values their stomach and taste buds."
