"This is an amazing place for weekend brunch. Not only is the prixe fix menu, which includes bottomless mimosas, very reasonable at $24, but the service is amazing! I always feel lucky to sit in Isack's section because he just might be the best server in DC!"

"I celebrated my first Mother's Day at M Street Bar & Grill for brunch. The brunch menu had a wide variety of food and was reasonably priced. The bottomless Mimosas were wonderful! My champagne flute never got less than half empty because the waiter always refreshed it. I would definitely attend brunch again."

"The food was amazing and they were very accommodating to my group. My only issue was that although our server was extremely polite and offered great recommendations, the service was slow and it took a long time to get menus, food, drinks, dessert, and the check. Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely go back."

"I reserved a table for 18 people. We got there early and they let us sit down. Unfortunatly a lot of my group fell through and only 10 people showed up and the staff was SO nice about it. They didnt put up a fuss at all and said it was completely fine. The food was good and service was VERY fast, the drinks were expensive but pretty strong. One thing to watch out for -- they could not do seperate checks. I'm not sure if thats just for big parties but definitely bring cash just in case! It was on the bottom of a beautiful hotel so it was a classy place. They brought out a FREE dessert and FREE Gray Goose shot for my boyfriends birthday! Very wonderful staff"

"The only real problem I had was with the food. The taste is fine, but was much more caloric than one would've guessed. I have diabetes and took what should have been enough insulin to cover my meal. As it turned out I needed almost double that amount, which means that although the food didn't seem very caloric in reality it had an amazing amount of calories. Most people don't have the clear measure that I do with insulin. I don't know what they're adding to the food, but what appeared to be reasonable well-balanced lunch was about as caloric as if I had gone to McDonald's."

"What I experienced this past Easter Sunday has guaranteed I will not be going back there again, much less organizing a group brunch there. I called 1 month in advance to reserve a table for my party of 16 for Easter brunch, and I was assured a table, so I didn't think twice about it. When we arrive on Sunday, however, I'm offered 2 tables of 10 each that are "close together" (read, not really). I told them i reserved a long time ago, and didnt want 2 tables, but this was all they had. Sat down at 12:45, and we didn't get our desserts until 3:15. Mimosas glasses spent more time being empty than full, and not because we're lushes. Horribly understaffed for a holiday brunch, and I was extremely embarrassed since I organized this for the group."

"This was my first time at the restaurant and we ended up getting caught up in conversation by the bar instead of sitting down at 7 for our reservation. Our waiter Russell was great though. He was very accommodating, informative and nice. I feel like perhaps this place doesn't receive the capacity or acknowledgement it deserves for being attached to a hotel but it's definitely one of DC's "hidden" gems and I will definitely be returning. "What a pleasant experience, so nice to be able to hear the people you're dining with. Really great decor and ambiance - not trendy but contemporary classic. No clamoring crowds screaming at each other across the table. This is a restaurant for civilized people. Very good food at reasonable prices. Waiters, hosts, and managers were all really friendly. I had short ribs and they were tender and delicious on a bed of mashed potatoes. The waiter had excellent wine suggestions. Dessert was sinfully delicious. "When we got there, we were told there were no menus available, which was OK because we wanted to chat. However, nobody came to take a drink order. We were told there was a pub crawl and they were busy. They brought bread, we had to pull utensils off of another table. The food took a long time but it was good. The ambiance was good."

"There's vegetarian service was subpar. My friend who hasn't eaten meat in two years had to send her meal back because she taste meat rather it was in her meal or cooked in the same skillet. Other than that we were absolutely satisfied. I probably will begin to frequent this place on Sundays for brunch."

"M Street Bar and Grill was a lovely place for a quiet dinner. The atmosphere was very comfortable and the menu offered a wide variety for choice. We had looked at their menu online before we went and were surprised to find the actual menu was limited. We were in town with a big conference and they ran out of some of the dishes that they usually offered. However; our whole party was very happy with our food choices which were very flavorful and attractively presented."

"We arrived to find out that they have happy hour from 4-close, so we sat in the bar area for drink specials but ordered food from the dinner menu. The menu online has scallops, but when I arrived I found out that they no longer have scallops. I had crab cakes instead and they were ok."

"We chose this restaurant after searching on line for something appropriate for our large group of 3 adults and 4 children / tweens. Their menu looked good with something for everyone and a children's menu offering half price portions of regular menu items as well as the always ordered chicken fingers. Unfortunately, the menu we were given didn't have all the items that were listed on their web site. When we asked for the children's menu, we were told there wasn't one.
The service was very good. The short ribs, steak frites and calamari were very good. The wine list was great and reasonably priced"

"We made these reserveations at the last minute on Valentine's Day and were pleasantly surprised that this gem was available. It's in the St. Gregory Hotel at the base of Foggy Bottom. There's parking next door and valet available. My husband's braised beef ribs required no knife and melted in your mouth. The panko crusted salmon was wonderful. Nice venue, good services, good food, and very reasonably priced."

"Went for Sunday brunch after reading the great reviews on here. And I was pleased! It wasn't crowded at all that day as people usually said it was. Perhaps because it was Super Bowl Sunday, and most were getting ready to attend other functions later. The staff was very nice and pleasant when I arrived. I was waiting on a friend that was running late, and chose to sit at the bar until she arrived. The server asked me if I would like to start my mimosas now. I thought that was nice. The lady playing on the piano was funny and entertaining. Brunch was GREAT! So much for a good price! It felt like a steal. :) I would definitely come back again."

"Had brunch with a friend here last Saturday and our experience was wonderful. I arrived before my friend, and the manager got me started on my bottomless mimosas at the bar as opposed to making me wait for the rest of my party, which was very nice. My friend arrived and we were promptly taken to our table, greeted right away, had a fantastic meal and never saw the bottom of our champagne glasses. Fantastic brunch all the way around, cannot wait to stop in again soon!"
